Tempe police release bodycam video after teen burglary suspect shot and killed

TEMPE, AZ — Bodycam footage has been released of the officer-involved shooting in Tempe that left a 14-year-old burglary suspect dead on Tuesday.The body camera video shows the officer taking cover behind a trash can while watching Antonio Arce inside a truck in an alleyway. Arce then exits the vehicle and is seen running away from the officer before the officer fired two shots at him.
According to police, just before 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to an alley for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Police say as the responding officer arrived at the scene, he observed someone who was in the process of burglarizing the vehicle.
As the officer made contact with the teen, he exited the car on the passenger side and fled on foot holding a gun, which was later determined to be a replica model airsoft gun.

Woman With Concealed Carry License Shoots At Would-Be Attacker
Chicago (CBS) — A man in Hyde Park was in for a surprise when the woman he was trying to rob pulled out a gun and fired.
Just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday near 56th and Dorchester, Chicago police say the woman took out the gun and shot at the man.
Police say she has a valid concealed carry license.
The suspect drove off in a dark-colored SUV.
No one was hurt.

Phoenix Police: Gunman shoots man threatening women with a knife

PHOENIX — A man was shot and killed Saturday night near 24th Avenue and Thomas Road, according to Phoenix Police.Two women were threatened with a knife by an estranged boyfriend of one of the women, police said.
The male suspect of the shooting asked the women if they needed help, which resulted in an altercation between the two men.The altercation resulted in the gunman shooting the estranged boyfriend that was threatening the two women with a knife.
The 38-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Umm, the young criminal had it with him BEFORE he broke into the truck? Duh.
