Meanwhile, in that “Socialist Paradise” Called Venezuela . . . .

| July 11, 2018

It’s old news that Venezuela is having a bit of economic difficulty these days. Well, everyone who’s not part of the Venezuelan Communist leadership ruling elite is having economic difficulties; the Communist leadership ruling elite is doing OK.

For most Venezuelans, though, even TP can be difficult to find; ditto many foodstuffs. The same is reportedly true of many if not most common household items.

Predictably, this has led to a substantial increase in crime. But conditions in Venezuela have now become truly grave.

Literally. In Venezuela today, even grave markers are being targeted by thieves.

I’m not joking.

But obviously, this must be America’s fault. The fact that Venezuela’s Communist dictators ruling elite are trying to involuntarily impose – by dictat – an economic system that’s failed everywhere it’s been tried has nothing to do with Venezuela’s current economic problems.

In fact, I seem to remember someone who would be happy to come here and tell us – using that inane “superior” Leftist Poodle Logic – why Venezuela’s problems are all America’s fault. He also could tell us why Socialism will soon fix all of Venezuela’s economic and social ills.

Well, he could if Jonn hadn’t gotten fed up with him and dropped the ban-hammer.

Don’t Fear the Commie!

The Other Whitey

My Father-In-Law still wants to kick that little bitch’s ass.

ChipNASA

Now many years ago, slightly after dinosaurs roamed the Earth, my very first and super hot girlfriend was from Canada, you wouldn’t know her Venezuela. She and her Mom eventually because US citizens and for all I know, they’re still living here.
That being said, about Venezuela,

MrBill

“But true communism has never been tried!”

——-Spenser Rapone, probably

The Other Whitey

That remind me of something. Something about the definition of “insanity…”

AW1Ed

Dammit Hondo, I was just setting up to post this.

*kicks rock*

It’s true it has never been implemented. Never will be due this thing called human nature where people want to do better in life than their parents, neighbors, friends and competitors. If only they could crush the human spirit than it would success stories all around.

Ex-PH2

Joe Stalin was pretty good at crushing the human spirit with mass murders and mass starvation. He’s responsible for something like a mere 20,000,000 deaths alone, by his orders. I think Mao outdid him with 30,000,000++, same methods.
Yeah, it really works, doesn’t it?

MustangCryppie

I’m an amateur radio operator and I hear more than a few Venezuelan ops. I always wonder what commie fucker is sitting behind that mike. No one who doesn’t have any food would even think of being a ham.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

MustangCryppie; What is their HF frequency so I can fire up my Drake7 Shortwave receiver. I stopped buying the World Radio TV Handbook a few years ago which have the commercial radio and TV stations or are they operating on one of the 40 or 80 meter ham bands assuming from what I just read from your comment.

Gee, they’re all over the place, Jeff. Looking over one of the dx spot sites, dxsummit.fi, YV calls are on 40, and 20 meters a lot. Working voice, CW, and FT8.

Good luck!

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Thanks for the info Mustang.

This popped into my mind as I drove the wife and kids home from SeaWorld the other night.

I had just gotten finished with a long day of seeing all sorts of wonderful animals. I had even eaten lunch while an orca beached itself mere feet away while a trainer regaled us with an endless array of details about these creatures. Why did I do this? Because this is America, and we damn well can.

But zoos in Venezuela are attracting visitors for another reason these days- food!

Yet, despite our endless potential and prosperity, many in the US, like Ocasio-Cortez, or my dumbass brother-in-law, advocate for this.

No, thank you, you can keep your low-grade free shit.

Fyrfighter

Yah CPT, my siblings are in the same bowl if dumbshittery…. Of course, I’m sure we can as Bernie Sander, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and they could explain to us just why our assessment of the current state in Venezuela is incorrect..

On a barely related side note, the John Wayne movie “The Hellfighters” was always one of my favorites growing up… It wasn’t until much later that I realized that the asshole rebels blowing up the oil wells, and trying to kill Wayne and his crew were actually the thugs of Hugo Chavez….

AnotherPat

Hondo, you wrote: “But obviously, this must be America’s fault.”

Of course it is our fault. It’s always our fault.

That said, another good reason to relocate the UN Headquarters OUTSIDE the United States…or just get rid of the Useless Nations period.

AW1Ed

They can set up shop in Caracas.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

It’s not Americas fault anymore, it’s always Trumps fault. It’s his fault that the soccer team got trapped in the cave. /SARC. I read or heard somewhere that all the peeps that side with the socialist side are allowed to own firearms and the anti socialists were disarmed. Anyone have any knowledge of this?

John in Indy

I read the same last month. Was that the communist thug gangs were being armed with the guns taken from the citizens by the Army, and then sent out to “stop the rioting snd keep the peace”.

19D3OR4 - Smitty

The Venezualan government had a mandatory gun confiscation from all of their opposition. They then distributed them among their allies.

This happened last year if I recall.

Liberals WANT TO turn the USA into a socialist shithole because they’re sure they’ll be in the ruling elite, little do they know that they are little more than useful idiots to their handlers.

QMC

And to think that not too long ago Venezuela was one of the wealthiest countries in Latin America. That’s Socialism for you in a nutshell.

2/17 Air Cav

According to reports, children are dying, pets are scarce, having been eaten out of necessity, and the people are weakened by sickness and hunger. Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte, and Sean Penn must be pleased. Trump saw this coming and asked aides about forcibly removing the tyrant from power. This the press made great hay with, all but accusing Trump of going after Venezuelan oil in its weakened state. I guess it never occurred to them that Trump’s aim was to alleviate the suffering. It will one day when the same media demand Trump do something to save the chil’en.

2/17 Air Cav

Sorry. I was low on Kool Aide.

UpNorth

Don’t forget Libya, 2/17.

2/17 Air Cav

Trump’s immediate predecessor in office was fomenting revolution there and elsewhere (Forward!) so, to the Left, it was all good. The fact that it cost many lives to have his Spring Fling Ain’t No Thing while currying favor with enemies and disrespecting our friends was just a bonus. He left a mess and morons regard him as some sort of hero. I guess I need much m,ore Kool Aide.

desert

but, he dint du nuffin, jist ax him!

rgr769

Don’t forget 0bama/Hildabeast taking down Libya, which has just worked out so swimmingly well.

26Limabeans

“swimmingly”

As in fleeing across the Med to flood Europe.

Roger in Republic

Last week I read that inflation is running at 48,000 percent. The monthly wage of a working man or woman in Venezuela will purchase five cups of coffee. Period. Basically this says that the economy has completely collapsed. I don’t remember even Zimbabwe having it this bad.

Thunderstixx

When I watch President Trump take on the swamp, the libidiots here in America and all the other bull shit that they try to foist on us turned around by him I thank the Lord Almighty.
Boys and girls of TAH Land we didn’t just dodge a bullet with the election of President Trump, we dodged a high yield H-Bomb, about 20 megatons of destruction if my estimates are right…
He’s not just good, he’s exactly what we needed exactly when we needed it !!!

Tom Huxton

reminds me of the missing uranium………

mebbe it’s a secret

OldSoldier54

We dodged a nuke, alright.

Wasn’t too wild about Trump before, but he’s kinda growing on me.

2/17 Air Cav

You and me both, OldSoldier54. He truly seems to be independent of the D.C. muck and is trying to make good on his campaign promises. Early on, I was aghast at his ‘tweeting’ but, now, I see that the traditional method for communicating would not have worked for him, given the media’s unbridled hatred for all things Trump.

Instinct

I work in retirement planning now and talked with a guy who retired and moved to Venezuela because “You can live like a fucking king down here.”

He was all proud of himself because his pension check went so far for him. Didn’t give a rat’s ass about what was happening as long as it didn’t touch him.

Wanted to reach through the phone line and end his ass.

A Proud Infidel®™️

Venezuela had a thriving economy until Socialism was inflicted upon it.

“The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
Lady Margaret Thatcher

rgr769

And apparently Venezuela did just that.
