Private First Class Hansen B. Kirkpatrick passes

The Department of Defense identifies a soldier killed in Afghanistan the other day;

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Freedom Sentinel.

Pfc. Hansen B. Kirkpatrick, 19, of Wasilla, Alaska, died July 3, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, from wounds received during an indirect fire attack. The incident is under investigation.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.

He was so young he doesn’t even remember 9/11, and the war in Afghanistan had been going on as long as he could remember.

And the United States certainly should send more cannon fodder to Afghanistan without a clear mandate to win, without an objective that can be achieved to win, with politicians looking over their shoulder to include f’in McCain who is outraged at every accusation made against a troop calling for investigations. We did NOT learn a damn thing from past ass kickings and if anyone does not think we got our asses kicked in Korea then Vietnam, you have your head in the sand or up your ass. Strong message to follow.
