Green withdraws from Army Secretary nomination
The Palm Center and the Human Rights Campaign were doing a happy dance in my inbox last night after Mark Green withdrew his namefor nomination for the Army Secretary. HMC Ret sends a link from the Associated Press;
Several Senate Democrats, including Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, declared they would oppose Green’s nomination over what they said were intolerant and disturbing views. Democrat Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, a combat veteran who lost her legs and partial use of her right arm during the Iraq war, said in a statement Friday that Green wasn’t fit to lead the service.
Schumer welcomed Green’s move to step aside.
“Mark Green’s decision to withdraw his name from consideration as Army secretary is good news for all Americans, especially those who were personally vilified by his disparaging comments directed toward the LGBTQ community, Muslim community, Latino community and more,” he said in a statement.
As we’ve reported here before, Green, a former Army infantry officer and a special operations surgeon, was eminently qualified to run the senior service in the time of war but he is cisgendered and a heterosexual, so that disqualified him in the eyes of the LGBT sexual deviant community.
So that should be it, right? Nope. The Palm Center has set it’s sights on Heather Wilson,the nominee for Air Force Secretary;
As a member of Congress, Rep. Wilson consistently opposed measures to protect LGBT Americans from discrimination or grant them equal protection under the law. As a senate candidate, Rep. Wilson opposed a bill intended to reduce anti-LGBT bullying, saying that victims should simply be stronger and more ‘comfortable with themselves’ instead of expecting perpetrators to be held accountable. In the Air Force, where it’s imperative to make clear that sexual harassment and anti-LGBT conduct have no place, this is a troubling position for any senior leader to adopt.

Too many special snowflakes swishing about. Give them the right to be “different” and suddenly they want everyone else to be the same.
And this will only encourage them to continue their shrill harping and attacking anyone that doesn’t sing to their tune.
It’s the Army’s loss and the country’s loss. I am sick of this shit, from Sonic commercials with two fags, to Campbell’s soup commercials with two lesbians, to these pseudo-religious tests for appointed office.
Not sure I agree with “pseudo”, 2/17.
Some religions hold that homosexuality is sinful. It seems to me to require someone publicly to embrace or endorse that lifestyle as a condition of appointment to high government office is in effect a bona fide religious test, in that it effectively disqualifies those who adhere to such religions and take their religious belief seriously.
A prospective appointee should be free to say, “I disagree with homosexuality on religious grounds, but will enforce the law as it applies regardless.” A prospective appointee should not be summarily disqualified from appointment on that basis – which is precisely the “heckler’s veto” the LBQTwhatever community appears to want.
The reason I chose that qualifier is that there is no religious test for office. As you know, that is illegal. However, the test is, in fact, administered, not by gov’t, but by gov’t'[s self-anointed proxies, special interest groups such as CAIR and LGBTXYZ groups. So, we are in accord.
If he was a moslem who liked the idea of throwing gay dudes off the roof of a highrise, they’d be singing a different tune altogether.
I still find the islamic gay-hate to be extremely hypocritical, what with all the buttsex they engage in every Thursday. A whole religion of gay-bashing fags! No, the contradiction is not lost on me.
Wait, those guys are gay?
The pro gay advocacy is becoming obnoxious in hollywood/entertainment. They are shoving it in anywhere they can and if nobody knew better you’d think it was the norm for civilization instead of the tiny fringe it really is.
Not quite ready to say that we are doomed yet, but having a few folks drive national policy based upon their choices for private moments is just insane.
My standard is simple: Keep private activities out of public view and nobody really cares what you do. Insisting that the rest of us participate, even if only passively, as observers, is not within your rights. I don’t frankly care what your choices are – hetero, multiple, homo, large groups, wearing pink tutus, whatever – as long as you do it is among consenting adults, go for it.
Obsessive behavior is not good. Letting your sexual choices drive your entire existence is not heathy no matter if your choice is what someone else might consider deviant or “normal.”
No, I am not a prude. Sex is an extremely important aspect of human behavior. But not the only one. Healthy individuals keep it all balanced without insisting that others agree, endorse, or participate.
To arbitrarily disqualify folks from positions for which they are well qualified over crap like this is wrong. Just like those who would say that skin color has something to do with intellect or anything else.
Are there ANY of President Trump’s appointees that the left isn’t going to bawl and go apeshit about? The more often they withdraw the more they’re going to think they’re back in power.
Short answer, no.
Funny how we sometimes have opinions and think, well maybe I am out of touch with the times, then I see the post 2/17 Air Cav about the Sonic commercials and feel more mainstream. Arkansas lieutenant governor Tim Griffin was in the running for Army Secretary. He’s a good guy and family man, Reserve LTC JAG, served a tour in the sand box with the 82nd, former Congressman who walked away from reelection to be at home to raise his young children, and was previously interviewed. Hope they look at him again and he would be good in the job but Arkansas would lose a great future governor.
You can suck cock and take it in the ass and be G2G
But talk about sucking cock and taking it in the ass and you’re vilified and denied opportunity
This folks is the result of what’s been going on in this country since 1992
Bush did nothing to root it out and it grew under Obama
None of these retired Generals and Admirals running their ball washers today were born that way. They were created in the petri dish of the Clinton era
I find it extremely troubling that politicians whose corruption is reported and raked over with a fine toothed comb in the press can get away with that crap, but someone who is not like that is dismissed and blown off as ‘unsuitable’.
Hey, I have an idea: let’s get the nastiest pervs on the planet for those military jobs. Turn it loose on the unsuspecting troops and the taxpayers. Let corruption run rampant, since it does in Congress anyway, and see what happens.
And I thought Caligula was a crazy bugger.
Didn’t we just finish 8 essentially years of that this past January?
Good point, Hondo. My frustration level must be rising withour my realizing it. Time to go make a batch of cookies… chocolate chip cookies… fragrant with extra vanilla.
The Army and nation lost a great opportunity here. We have GOT to stop pandering to the whims a small minority of queers, whatever letter they self identify as. If they want to serve, then do the same as everyone else, shut up about your personal life and serve. But stop demanding everyone acknowledge their special little snowflake existence, in their own minds.
Cisgendered? What the F..k is that?
Thank God I am retired from this PC nonsense.
I’m glad you asked. I was afraid to. Got no clue.
It’s what the freaks call a man that knows he is a man or a woman that knows she is a woman. It makes the snowflake del better about themselves.
It means that he identifies his gender with the way he was born. In another era it would be called “normal”.
But why CIS? Is it an acronym?
From Wiki;
I like normal better.
Until this gender shit the only time I every heard the terms cis/trans was in chemistry class in reference to the arrangement of molecules.
oooops…Jonn already said that in the wiki quote…mah bad
It’s times like this that this website lives up to its reputation as a hate site.
If that is the case, why do you keep returning here, knucklehead?
It is the case.
Then answer the question, Joey.
Joe was “triggered” by this post. I think I know why. Calling OS-2. Joe in the open.
Hate? Seriously? Act your age, Joe, and stop being a snowflake.
Jonn, You misspelled bitch.
Joe – go back to your cardboard home behind the truck stop and do what you do best… fellatate penises, tongue balls and punch out some crust hobo fartboxes…
How exactly, Joe? Green wasn’t pushing for violence against gays. Neither was anybody else here. Several of us pointed out the hypocrisy of the criticism against him, especially by CAIR, whose fellow-travelers in Daesh are quite violent against homosexuals–despite apparently being okay with allegedly-straight dudes buttfucking eachother.
So Green doesn’t bend over backwards for the militant LGBTQEIEIO agenda. So what? Neither do a lot of gay folk who don’t feel the need to be obnoxious about it. If some guy prefers dudes, or some chick prefers other chicks, I don’t particularly care, as long as they’re not obnoxious assholes about it. I don’t agree with it, but it’s none of my business, so I see no reason to trouble myself or others about it. When somebody throws it in my face and tries to shove it down my throat, as the activist crowd does, then there’s a problem.
In conclusion, you’re still an idiot.
Next time, for Joe’s sake, you might begin with the conclusion, TOW.
Hate? I think you’re the only hater here, Joey. You don’t have an argument to present, or a valid point of reference. You just dive in, splatter some silly rhetoric, and make an ass of yourself while you’re at it.
That would make Joe the hater, wouldn’t it? “Hate” doesn’t seem to mean what he wants it to mean.
For instance, we can disapprove of having someone sneeze too close to our faces without hating people with colds.
Homo’s like you give us a bad reputation. Go away. Crawl back into your Mom’s basement.
Suck a wet turd out of my ass, Joe.
Pretty please.
Maybe this is for the better. If he won’t stand up to the ridiculous gay mafia and shitbag democraps that don’t like him he should probably go. I want a fighter that won’t back down when some turd is offended and is willing to fight back against the scum ruining the nation, specifically those congress members on their bullshit crusades of insanity.
“I disagree with homosexuality on religious grounds, but will enforce the law as it applies regardless.”
Did Dr. Green say that or something similar?
If so, I would agree with Hondo.
