LTC Amerine cleared
ABC News reports that LTC Jason Amerine retired yesterday after the government’s case against him collapsed. Amerine was accused of releasing classified information to Congressional staffers of Congressman Duncan Hunter. He has has always denied that;
Amerine…came under fire this year when FBI agents working hostage cases alerted the Army’s Criminal Investigative Command to what they claimed was a serious security violation stemming from Amerine’s contacts with Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., a military veteran on the House Armed Services Committee, and Hunter staffers who didn’t hold Top Secret clearances. Amerine’s own clearance was pulled, ironically, the day [Warren] Weinstein was killed.
Amerine denied that he did anything wrong in his forceful testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on whistleblowers, recounting how “the FBI formally complained to the Army that information I was sharing with Rep. Hunter was classified. It was not.”
“After my criminal investigation began, the FBI admitted to Rep. Hunter that they had the utmost respect for our work but they had to put me in my place. Again: the FBI made serious allegations of misconduct to the Army in order to put me in my place and readily admitted that to a U.S. Congressman,” the Green Beret said at the dramatic June hearing, in which he appeared in uniform.
Amerine finally retired yesterday, ending the quixotic persecution of a real American hero.

I’ll state the obvious and what everyone else is thinking: Here we have a fine man that the FBI vigorously and maliciously tried to nail to the wall. The FBI did its best to sully his reputation with groundless allegations and attempted to impugn his integrity with clever statements made public. In the end, the FBI looks like half-assed bully boys and Amerine stands tall. Meanwhile, the same agency had a mountain of evidence that H. Clinton violated law on numerous occasions and made secret deals to destroy evidence and potential evidence and then gave the crook a pass. Enjoy your retirement, LTC Amerine.

Yep, that pretty much covers it. But then again, LTC Amerine is an honorable Soldier who’s sacrificed a great deal in the service of our country, and we all know how the SJWs hate that. Some animals are more equal than others.
And the good guys win again.

Here, a hero is accused by the FBI of releasing classified information and subsequently drug through the mud in an attempt to further politically driven motives, given from on high.
At the same time, a Secretary of State DID pass classified information through unsecured channels for her personal pleasures and political agendas and this same FBI has drug their feet in even saying she did anything wrong and only now due to Congressional pressure are looking at it again as more of her misdeeds are revealed.
The code of “one law for me, another for thee”, is alive and well.
I wish the Colonel well in his retirement. America needs more men like him.
My immediate thought on reading this was “this America doesn’t deserve more men like him.”

The stark contrast between the FBI’s treatment and pursuit of Amerine and the FBI’s wink and nod for The Bitch of Benghazi, which is our focus here, did not exist last year. So, GFY wiseass.
And they wonder why the public has no faith in government.
All they need do is ask me. I’ll stop giving reasons why I have no faith in the federal government when the people listening say, “You can stop now. My pens all ran out of ink.”
