Monday morning feel good stories
In Houston, Texas, two thieves forced their way into a convenience store and held the clerk at gunpoint while demanding money. Instead, the clerk grabbed a shotgun and a firefight ensued ending with one thief injured and the clerk wounded. The pair un-assed the AO and one of them was found later by the Houston Fire department and taken to the hospital to await accommodations at the local jail.
In Chesterfield, Virginia, an off-duty Richmond police officer took his car to a car wash where a youngster hopped in the police officer’s car and started to drive off. The officer was told by employees that man driving his car didn’t work there, so the officer confronted the youngster, identifying himself to the thief as a police officer. That didn’t seem to change the thief’s mind and it led to an altercation in which the thief was shot. He was transported to the hospital where he was declared DOT (dead over there).
In Chula Vista, California, a Customs and Border Patrol Protection Officer stopped her boyfriend from physically abusing her by making him DRT (dead right there).
The other day, Humboldt County, California Sheriff deputies found the body of Justin Joseph Nevis. it appears that Nevis was half of a pair of intruders into the home of 64-year-old John Pineal. They went in with guns, but Pineal had a Kukri knife and sliced the pair up pretty well. So well, that Nevis collapsed a few feet from the scene and bled to death in the woods. It was more than a month later that police found his body. Pineal seems to be celebrating on his own website with pictures of his own injuries and an account of the encounter. But, I warn you that his celebration includes an auto-start of some loud rock music at his website.

3 out of 4 incidents have someone no longer stealing good oxygen, and 1 in the hospital, Not bad. A kukri is not usually sufficient to go up against guns, but if the gunmen are not proficient, will suffice as shown here. My Kukri stays sharp and ready, always.
3 out of 4 with DRT’s? Not bad at all, and one story proves that a good sharp blade can come in handy as well although I will always prefer a gun!
Then we have this blatant display of idiocy from the Washington Post:

I’ll give you the first paragraph and let you go from there:
Michael Santiago needed a gun.
He was a former gang member who had snitched on his old crew and now feared for his life. So Santiago purchased a pistol on the street and kept it in the kitchen just in case.
Makes me very grateful to have no need to arm myself to defend against former associates. 😉
Wait, he’s already a convicted felon, thus he’s already prohibited by law from owning or possessing firearms and/or ammo, and he bought it off the street from a fellow gangster, no background checks, etc. Storing a loaded firearm within acces by a child is illegal as well, what about enforcement of laws that are already in effect? WAIT, what am I saying, THAT would make sense, and liberals always need something to bawl and screech about!
Nothing much better in CQB than a good sharp knife/machete/kukri.
Puts me in mind of the old saw (see what I did there?), “Don’t f**k with a chef in his own kitchen. He knows where the knives are, and where the bodies can be disposed.”
Way to go California girl!! Because a restraining order is just a piece of paper.
