Money in politics

| December 11, 2008

This morning I read over at Gateway Pundit and Don Surber about the Hopey and Changey stuff at the Change.gov website wherein GP linked to Ben Smith at Poltico who reports that Obama-bots are scrubbing potentially embarrassing questions from the “Open Government-Open Questions” page. One of the questions that were scrubbed was as follows;

“Given the current corruption charges involving Blagojevich, will ‘serious’ campaign finance reform that takes money completely out of politics through publicly funded elections be a priority in the first term?” asked Metteyya of Santa Cruz, California.

“This submission was removed because people believe it is inappropriate,” reads the text underneath it.

Also removed as “inappropriate”:

Not as inappropriate as these little merchandising items I received solicitations for last night in my email box from the MyObama campaign;

I guess we can’t expect any campaign finance reform in the next four years.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED to see censorship and shameless fund-raising by Obama’s (may peace and blessings be upon Him) staff.

Hey, the head Obamunist still needs his cash. Ooops, I mean his campaign needs the cash. And,it isn’t censorship, they’re just re-adjusting the questions, so that the embarrassing questions don’t come up until, oh, about 2017.
