Ron Stone admits deceit
KTEN did a report on the phony Vietnam veteran Ron Stone, who we discussed in January, in which he admits that the medals he claimed to earn were a lie. Stone continues to cling to the lies about his service, though;
We took our findings to the author himself outside his Denison home
KTEN:Why did you decide to do all this to begin with? Was it to sell books?
Stone: I was trying to tell a story.
KTEN: Why couldn’t you tell the true story?
STONE: It was a fictional book.
Despite what he said, the last page of his book reads “The events and dates of the book are true to the best of my knowledge and recollections and are stated without reservations.”
Stone eventually admitted to lying about parts of the book.
“I made up some of the medals,” he said. “I am deeply ashamed of it.”
He said the fake awards provided an ego boost, but maintains at least some parts of the book are true, but classified.
“The government would not let me talk about what I did in the service. They stole my military history,” he said.
This is the most disgusting part of the interview;
Stone said he would pull his book, but it was still available online at last check.
“All I did was lie,” Stone said “And there’s no law against lying.”
No remorse, the only regret that Stone has is that he was caught. There doesn’t need to be a law to be a decent person, you POS.

“All I did was lie,” Stone said “And there’s no law against lying.”
Oh! I’ll have to remember that. I’m sure it will work like a charm.
“All I did was lie,” Stone said “And there’s no law against lying.”
Mrs Clinton taking notes….
Why do I have this urge to use the heels I’m wearing today to stomp on this shitslurper’s balls?
Why dirty up your heels on that inbred buck-toothed booger-eating Swamp Donkey? He’s probably as filthy as a hippie, I’d let you use an old pair of my steel-toed boots instead, then you could just throw them away when you’re done. 😀
Hmmmmm… steel toed is good too. But stilettos HURT! Like pierce the shriveled raisins hurt.
You are assuming he actually has balls…
Damn fine job by that reporter… she was firing on all cylinders. Denison is a relatively small town. My guess is that Ron Stone will be relocating to somewhere where he is not (yet) known as a lying son of a bitch.
I have no pity for Ron Stone, he fuxxed himself!!
Fuck Ron Stone… no remorse whatsoever for what he did.
Make his lying ass famous…
Actualy, there is a law against lying. It’s called ‘perjury’. Don’t know if it really requires being under oath, but if you are and you perjure yourself, you get jail time for it.
I love his statement that the gubbmint classifed his stuff but he still wrote about it.
Anyone want some nice, hot tea?
There’s also that pesky little law in many if not most jurisdictions that makes lying to LEOs and/or many other government investigators a criminal offense.
Lying, in one or more of its forms, is an essential element of many criminal and civil wrongs. Lying is at the heart of fraud, misrepresentation, false statements made to LE investigators, perjury and …drum roll…the Stolen Valor Act. Although he now says that the book was fiction, the claim he included about himself receiving the DSC was published as fact, in order to create the appearance of credibility and bolster book sales. Thus, there is a tangible benefit. This SOB is adept at being wrong, I’ll give him that.
What this guy needs is a VERY hearty handshake and a big freakin’ bowl of soup.
Bet you he loves some of that old Vietnamese delicacy, Cream of Sum Yung Guy Soup
Lying in general is not against the law unless it is under oath (perjury) or in the context of a criminal investigation (obstruction of justice.)
HOWEVER, making a “material misrepresentation” (legal-ese for lying) and then using that material misrepresentation to obtain something of value is both a crime and a tort called “Fraud.”
“They would not let me…” and “They stole my…” oh, brother…this sparkle pony gets busted for lying and still tries to make himself out to be a “victim”…I guess it’s true that there’s no fool like an old fool.
ron stone – lying sack of shit…nuff said…
“There’s no law against lying”. Yeah – but ask a certain newscaster how that worked out for him…
This clown looks like a gay porn director.
Turd.
Stone should have said that it was the anal probing by “DA MAN” at Area 51 that made him lie and write those shitty books of his…it would have been a little more believable than the “The government would not let me talk about what I did in the service. They stole my military history,” bullshit he’s using as a defense.
hey Ron, just and FYI… you may want to avoid your local Vietnam Vet groups for the foreseeable future. Some of the guys looked really pissed off about you and your bullshit stories.
Did I hear that right: “Some parts of the book are true but are classified?”
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
My bet is the only true thing in that book is the name of the author. Someone in Denison needs to pay him a visit.
Yep – that’s the quote that caught my attention as well. Sounds like he is claiming to be releasing classified information. Not something most sane folks would do intentionally. Does it even matter whether that release is in a work of fiction or something more autobiographical?
Sick lying fuck. I hope someone shoves your book up your ass — the hardbound, large print version.
OK I’m old and sometimes I don’t understand to well, BUT..when you say something like this.
“The government would not let me talk about what I did in the service. They stole my military history,” he said.
THEN you talk about it?? How is it you’re still around?? If the government didn’t want you to talk about it, you wouldn’t be talking about it in a book or anywhere.. Your new profession would be pushing up daisies with Jimmy Hoffa somewhere..
When Stone passes from this earth (as we all will one day) I wonder if the VA will perpetuate this truth molester’s Stolen Valor on his tombstone?
Passing a Stone. I see what you did there. Well played, sir.
I just want to go on record to say that he is not related to Hack Stone.
