Monday morning feel good stories
Our first story this morning comes from Missouri;
This all comes after a man returned home about 11:20 p.m. Friday to find burglars inside his home in the 2200 block of Ellison Way, just south of East 23rd Street South.
Investigators believe one of the suspects shot the homeowner. Police have not made it clear who shot one of the intruders.
The two shooting victims were rushed to hospitals late Friday. The intruder died about an hour later. Police say the homeowner was still listed in critical condition Sunday.

Police spokesman Tom Gentry said Sunday the two arrested in the burglary and shooting are each being charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree burglary. Their bond has been set at $250,000 cash only.
Then comes Oklahoma;
The homeowner told police a man approached him on his property around 8 a.m. He thought it was the same person who broke into his home the day before.
“Apparently there was some sort of confrontation between our homeowner and our suspects. One of the suspects apparently pulled out a knife threatened the homeowner,” said SSgt. Jennifer Wardlow, Oklahoma City Police.
Police said the homeowner fired several shots at the suspect’s truck parked in his driveway. That man took off, but didn’t make it far.
Officers found the truck broken down about two blocks away and took the suspect in to custody.
There was a female in the passenger seat who might have been shot, but she’s out wandering around somewhere.

While more range time is needed in most of these cases, so too is being alert to the surroundings. Letting these turds get to close to you greatly increases the danger for the victim.
Meanwhile .. across town

How about a nice 8 on 8 battle in a parking lot?
91A10…Thanks for the article. “Johnson said the people who attacked the officers were a family of eight who were in a Suburban in the Walmart parking lot. The Suburban has Idaho license plates.” Idaho? Uh…living up in that part of the country. a family of 8 in a Suburban…not hard to profile.
On the second story, that’s why when I’m working alone outside the house, I carry concealed.
Thank you for the warning reminder. I tend to get complacent in my cozy little corner of Utah. No place is safe.
Sparks, I carry open unless the Grandkids are around, then it’s concealed.
