Colin Michael Ross; phony Beirut veteran
Scotty sends his work on the fellow, Colin Michael Ross who was booted from the VFW when he showed them this DD214 and couldn’t produce any evidence that he’d actually earned the Purple Heart (good on them);
The National Personnel Records Center says he was a private when he was discharged after 47 months of service with a Sharpshooter Badge and a Good Conduct Medal, but no parachute badge or scuba bubble in his records. And no Purple Heart.
We just got a text from Stevie Wonder and he says that he could tell that it was a fake DD214.
Category: Phony soldiers
Thanks for showing us that the gene pool continues to go off the deep end of stupid does…
What a turd…
Brian Williams says he was there so it must be Legit !
Colin and Brian were both there, that helicopter crashing was how he got his PH
Colin Michael Ross of Kalispell,MT. Discharged Private E-1 from the Marine Corps.
Robert Danny Hay of Helena,MT. Discharged Private E-1 from the Marine Corps.
Wonder if they know each other? Any bets?
Have at him, Marines!!
Bob “The Maggot” Hay. Nice.
And do not forget Bill Blake!!!
Oh,No, I haven’t forgotten about Zippy the Pinhead!!
Last word I heard on him was he is finishing out the last semester of that combined cosmetology/proctology school in Oklahoma and as soon as winter is over he will be joining his “brothers” up in Montana.
He is close to achieving his lifetime aspiration of being the “Purtiest Pivotman in Modern History” and now wants to be a catcher, not a pitcher.
Well, I just thought the two of them go together like peas and carrots.
Both discharged as Privates E-1. Ross claims to be a SSGT and runs around with flags and a Corps wheel cover on his Jeep. Maggot Hay claims to be a GYSGT and had his awards rack displayed as decals on the back window of his pick-up.
Helena and Kalispell are only about 190 miles apart and knowing the way shitbirds smell each other out and flock together, it’s almost a given that they’ve ran into each other, either personally or by word of mouth and have had a “my pecker is bigger than yours” session.
They deserve each other. Dumbasses, the both of them.
Are you from MT way?
Well, you know, SSGT is almost the same as Private….
That would be Sargent E-5 and privates both seem to get the bulk of the work. Spc E-4s seem to lay low. Or how do I say out of sight out of mind Lol…. SSG E-6 I know this rank well this being the fist victim of when shit rolls downhill Lol…..
“SPC E4’s seem to lay low.” – There’s a reason why some call that rank ” The Sham Shield” !
And up above, you can see a fine specimen of Faex Aves, more commonly referred to as the “North American Shitbird.” When they are on Active Duty, they are known by their refusal to perform simple tasks, dereliction of duty and the distinctive call that sounds like constant complaining. Upon discharge, the males tend to puff up and act more important than they really were.
My favorite DD-214 entries are:
1. Marine Corps Achievement Medal
2. Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal
Based on these two entries alone, I do here by designate this one most absolutely without any doubt and with no reservations … LEGIT!
I get the Marine Corps Achievement Medal but what is the reference to the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal (not that this turd got one)?
Because they’re both referred to as Navy/Marine Corps….Medal.
That is not correct Silentium. The Achievement Medal would have been a Navy Achievement Medal back then and the Expeditionary medal would have been a Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal as Marines were not auth Navy Expeditionary Medals.
This whole Navy/Marine Corps medal deal is a fairly recent invention that occurred after I got out of the Marine Corps in 1993.
I was thinking the Chief had seen something I didnt on the DD-214 about the Expeditionary Medal. Plenty of other things jacked up with his records besides that though.
Drops microphone on big toe, breaks big toe (right foot) and limps off stage!
It gets confusing sometimes doesn’t it?
I had the opposite thing happen a few years ago. We had a former Marine try to join the Guard that had a DD-214 from the late 80s with a Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal on it among other things.
The CSM asked me to look at it because this guy raised some alarm bells and the 214 was clearly a fraud…he couldn’t even line up the type correctly.
He later claimed that his DD-214 had some things missing when he got out but that someone had told him to just add what was missing.
That sounds like a critter we had in my NG Unit some years ago that claimed he was Ex-Recon, barely knew his own ass from ice cream, and was a “Profile Rider” to boot!
Yeah, it was the Navy Achievement Medal before 1993 had to get a DD-215 done because the only one they put on mine was the Navy/Marine Achievement Medals after 1994.
Four years and discharged a private. Wonder if old Colin here logged any time in the brig. This guy could be related to Phony Frank.
God I hope he stops by here to chat!
Me too…We need a new Sparkle Pony to de-glitter
┌П┐(►˛◄’!)
TC – we are Veterans, not Veterinarians. My poor dog just went and hid under the bed.
It sounds like you’re aching for another chew & clawing toy, TC!! Not to worry, I’m SURE one will come along soon for you and the other Lionesses of TAH®™ to chew up and sharpen your claws on! 😉 😀
Well this is a crappy way to start my weekend.
DIPSHIT
Has this dude been pulling a bernutsless on everyone? What a boring old fart.
WHAT??? No NDSM????????????????
Not an eligible period between 75-90.
Well, that is really a kick in the balls to not be eligible for a NDSM.
I’m glad the local VFW booted his phony ass; if only all the local VFWs are this conscientious…
Another one of these shit birds takes a dive into the cesspool. I can not describe how it feels to see a picture of someone wearing the uniform I earned. This one is personal.
Listen up posers. You can not fake that uniform from that day and time. Its not possible. You can not get away with it. Dont try it. You could put all of the Marines that qualified to wear a anything close to that uniform into a couple of chairs. Take away the Ricky Recon and Purple heart and there are less than a dozen Marines who come close to it from that time.
Achievement Medals were not given out like they are today. Expeditionary Medals to only a few units. Multiple Unit Commendations were rare. A CAR, nah. Purple Heart, you have to be shitting me. SSgt with two hash marks, multiple expert shooting awards with both rifle and pistol, What? The combination of any of those awards limits the number of Marines to an extremely small group.
I served with better Marines than I was who were SSgt’s that had a SSDR and GCM if they were lucky. The second you claim anything beyond that the bullshit meter begins to peg. Stop trying to pull this shit off. It can not be done. Not from that time, no way, never.
This turd was stationed at Cheerless Pit, I know that place could screw with your mind, no excuse for this bullshit.
I want my uniform back fucker, I will remove the Ricky Recon nonsense and the purple heart of course.
Why do these people always show up in a uniform?
This gets to be ridiculous after a while.
I really dont know why they do that. Particularly those that did serve during that time. He knows how ridiculous that uniform appears on him.
And there it is, the motorcycle in the background.
Looks like Phildo and his boys in that poser MC just found a new member.
Discharged as a Private after 47 months? That says “DIRTBAG!” to me, I wonder how hard he screwed the poodle to get that?
I’m no marine but just looking at the 214 nothing seems legit… VFW Made a good call on this one
I see a lot of these guys who served when few conflicts were going on, had mediocre or worse military service and probably got out and didn’t give it much thought until…..we got attacked on 9/11 and everyone started asking them…didn’t you serve in the Corps?
They then are ashamed of their service because being in the military or a Veteran is now honorable and cool and they begin to build the story. Sooner or later someone calls them on it and the fake DD-214 comes out and then the old uniform is dug out and a few things added.
I wonder if the prevalence of this has greatly increased since 9/11 (I am convinced it has) but I also wonder what these guys tell their families? I mean, I spent years overseas in my career and I cant figure out how these guys explain doing all this stuff when most people must be wondering “hey, didn’t you work at the mill back then?”
Here we go again with, “there I was in the Beirut barracks when the bomb went off”.
I was not in the Marines. But as with all my military brothers and sisters of all branches I have deep abiding respect for them. As well as each ones unique accomplishments and unfortunately tragedies, such as the Beirut Barracks bombing. So this POS is another skivvy shit stain extraordinaire.
I can’t recall the gross difference in the actual number of people who served in Vietnam, compared to the most recent census which was I believe, 4 times more. The same with the Beirut bombing. I imagine the number claiming they were there is 5 or 6 times greater than the actual number. I know of three or four I have read of here in the few years I have followed TAH.
I don’t know how long this ass hole has been claiming this crap but I think some butt heads think if enough time has passed, no one will know the difference. Problem with that Colin Michael Ross, cause I know you’re reading this, is there are places like this blog and others, chock full of current and former military, Marines included who know bull shit when they see and hear it. Your local VFW saw your BS right off. Now I wonder, have you been on the VA rounds with that DD-214 trying to get benefits? If so, sooner or later it’s gonna come to light. So…BOHICA!!!
Always Beirut, always recon jump wings, always a scuba bubble. It’s like they have no imagination.
E1 over nearly four? Yipes. I guess he has more pride in his service today than he did when he was actually in service. Funny how that works with these clowns.
[…] This Ain’t Hell Blog (click here) […]
These guys just pick the coolest things that happened during the time they served and chose to be part of them, where was all that motivation when they were in the military?
For a little context, the VFW didn’t boot him out. He was elected the Commander. Some woman who knew him from a past life brought his phoniness to light after he was in office as the Post Commander, that is when his DD214 was discovered as a forgery. No telling how long he was using that DD214. Once his membership was challenged he resigned, and after a 4 month period was unable to produce documents detailing his elegibilty for membership, National VFW booted him out.
Thanx for the background. I will mention his name every time I wipe my ass. He will probably leave a shit stain anyway.
They ‘discovered’ a firefighter is not a RECON man and half his awards make no sense. Brilliant, real mind blowing amount of investigation needed to figure all that out.
Not a firefighter either. EAF Aircraft Recovery Specialist is MOS 7011 (I know–I was a 7011 and went through Lakehurst in late 85). 7051’s back then were trained at the schoolhouse in Memphis not Lakehurst. People get them confused often because we were in the same shop and share the Warrant Officer rate. He’s lying about being a 7051. If I had his last 4 I could verify his firefighting certs which should be DoD and listed with AFCESA (they won’t be I can guarantee that).
It’s official though–MY MOS IS REPRESENTED! Woot woot.
Welcome to the club.
Where’d this happen? I think he was at Cherry Point MCAS. Was it a Havelock VFW?
Could have been Bogue Field too–Bogue Rats. I was one but got there late ’85.
I voted for this POS…. He was in Irving TX. He seemed to fool tons of people. I am fucking glad they found out an kicked his sorry ass out.
Help me out here, guys. 7 yrs as “Reconaissance Man”. Is that a real Marine Specialty or is that like “Secret Agent Man”?
0321 Recon Marine is a real MOS…..this guy wasn’t one of them
I’m betting it does not show up on the 214 as “Reconaissance Man” like this doofus has on his. Am I right?
My DD-214 lists “Ladies Man” and “International Heartbreaker”.
Good Conduct Medal (3 years of undetected crime), yet discharged as a private in under 4 years. Further proof that timing is the key to life.
