I was just a kid & living in Tehran during much of Carters first couple yrs in office. Other than his portraits at school, yeah I was pretty oblivious of the Jimmah Cartah Horror Show. You want to look at it positively…it was only one term. Also, had Ford won in ’76…well, that probably shuts the door on Reagan ever being POTUS.

Carter is trying to make his own legacy look better. Too bad many of today’s problems were created or strengthened during his watch.
Just like thirty years from now when O will turn on a future Dem to try to look good in the dimming memories of the current disasters.
Both suck. Both are at the bottom of post WWII admins. They might even be among the worst post-CW admins (though that category is more competitive).
Among the worst “post Civil War” Administrations? Hell, try “post-1789”.
With Obama, I do not think Carter even has to try to make his legacy look better.
After all, the man was one’helluva ex-president.
Obummer is doing it for him.
He would have made a much better “never President” IMO.
And given many of his post-POTUS positions and actions, I’d debate the characterization of “one helluva ex-President”. More like “one helluva embarrassment as ex-President” IMO.
