Friday feel good story
Chief Tango sends us a link to today’s feel good story from Fairburn, Georgia where a wheelchair-bound man stopped three masked men from turning their lives around in his bedroom;
He said he woke up at about 4:15 a.m. to a crashing sound. In an instant, three masked men were in his bedroom. One was pointing a gun at his head and asking for money.
Thomas told them he didn’t have any money. The man ordered him to roll over.
“I’m like, ‘Man, I’m in a wheelchair, man. Come on, now,’ Thomas recalled. “And when I rolled over, I had the gun under my pillow. So he started shooting. I started shooting, too.”
“He said he thinks he might have hit one or two of them. He’s not sure,” said Thomas’s uncle and caregiver Frank Johnson, who lives in the home.
Johnson was in a different bedroom when he heard the gunshots.
“I jumped in the closet. That’s all I could do,” Johnson said.
Minutes later, his nephew came into his room bleeding.
“He started calling for me and told me they were gone,” said Johnson. “So I got my phone and called 911.”
Thomas said he was shot seven times — once in the shoulder, once in the ribcage area and once in the hand. None of the bullets hit any vital organs. He expects that doctors will release him from the hospital soon.

I wish him a speedy recovery and a close encounter with an unpleasantly large member of law enforcement.
Why do these marones think everyone has cash money in their homes? And are they really so stupid that they think people keep cash in the sock drawer or something?
Just to clarify the quoted line from Vested about North . Alone, the line gives the clear impression that Colonel North was backing the clown. He wasn’t. Buried in the full article is this: “But what about those emails from Lt. Col. North? Turns out they were elaborate forgeries. Col. North told INSIDE EDITION, ‘I’ve never heard of A.J. Dicken and I hope they throw away the key when they lock him up.’”
I like the fact that until money became a factor, this clown was the real deal for Vested.
2/17, wrong story.
Ex, I completely agree. It’s not like people put their cash under their mattress. Usually, it is in a bank and accessible with a checkbook (rare) or secure piece of plastic.
Christ, I seem to be arguing with everyone about everything on here this week — and so here I go again.
No, there are plenty of people who keep cash around. I do. I also pay most of my bills, and grocery shop, with cash. I don’t put anything on a card or in an account anymore that I can’t afford to lose — because I have. So now I use cash. And yes, I DO know how unsafe that is, too. At least if I lose that cash, I’ll be the first to know…instead of the last.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around shot 7 times in a wheel chair and won. Proving yet again there are no dangerous weapons, just dangerous men. That’s tough.
