Another “Hothead” With a Gun . . .
. . . uses it to stop a home invasion. And this “hothead” did it while in a wheelchair.
Mark Sikes, an ex-Army MP who now uses a wheelchair, was at his home. He heard a noise from the vicinity of his front door.
Then he saw an intruder in his hallway.
Sikes reached over and took his 9mm pistol out of a nearby drawer. He raised it.
The would-be burglar saw this and decided to “exit stage left” immediately. That was probably a good decision. Ex-MPs generally can hit a man-sized target at fairly close range.
Sykes lives in Georgia. Just think how “wonderfully” this would have all turned out if Sykes had lived in NYC or Chicago – where legally owning a pistol is virtually impossible unless you’re a cop or have “connections”.
And just so our local Durango socialist troll is aware, we’re still waiting for those 50 stories, Joey.

Jay: yes. I kinda thought the story made that obvious, since he had the opportunity to off the intruder and did not. I adjusted the title to add quotes to help make that point clearer.
The thing is, leftists and anti-gunners think that everyone is like them and since they don’t trust themselves with a gun, they figure that everyone else, being like them, shouldn’t be trusted with a gun. They come up with wild ass scenarios and assertions, which they thought of out of their own bias and what they see in movies and tv shows and think that’s how it really is.
We’d be lucky to find stories like this in Chicago or New York. Not because they don’t happen – because they don’t get press. I love this one though!!
@5. I’m sure these things happen in NY and the Windy City but those who defend themselves and their homes with handguns do not call 911 afterwards. They can’t or they would be arrested and their firearm confiscated.

It’s simple to me, liberals want as many people as possible forced to be unarmed victims to the criminals, who liberals see as “victims of society” and frown on those of us who want to work and earn something as well as defend ourselves!!

This happened last night (1/25) in the ‘burbs. Coyotes in the suburbs around Chicago are getting bolder and bolder, and this pack of four went after three dogs in their own yard, jumping a 3.5 foot fence. The owner shot at them with a pellet gun to chase them off after they broke the glass in his back door.

The coyotes in the woods in the collar counties are the size of German Shepherds, fat, fit and well-fed, and not afraid of people because they are not being hunted. We need to change that somehow, but hunting in the suburbs is not allowed because they are residential areas.
