It was no more than what we should have expected, this Department of Justice, in-house investigation of Operation Fast and Furious. Did any of us truly expect a DoJ inspector general to find against his boss? Or worse, against his boss’s boss? Are any among us surprised that lesser figures in the DoJ warren of agencies have been designated to take the fall? The apparent answer is no. But there is a more obvious response to this attempted whitewash that the Obama administration had best pay heed to.
There are millions upon millions of us out here who understand one simple basic truth, that there was no reason for those now-blamed federal underlings in Arizona and elsewhere to undertake such an operation. Regional offices of the federal government do not take it upon themselves to construct and implement criminal incursions into foreign countries. They do not do it. If you think they do you are either totally and ineptly unaware of how federal bureaucracies operate or you are so far in the bag for Obama and Holder that reason and truth matter not.
From the first glimmer of exposure to this Obama directed run against our Second Amendment, I have been pointing out that there was no credible rationale for Operation Fast and Furious except that it was designed by politicos high in the administration to use the statistics generated by Mexican drug cartel violence implementing American-supplied weaponry to justify stricter gun control, not in Mexico, but here in the United States. This rationale was ballyhooed by everyone from Obama, Hillary and Holder to lesser figures in the administration.
There is one simple reason for my very firm belief that we skeptics are dead-right on this issue: the feds have willingly admitted they had no plan, no operation nor any structure in place to track those weapons once they crossed the border; and since the Mexican authorities had been kept totally in the dark about the entire operation, the Federales were also unprepared to track these deadly implements that would be used subsequently to kill hundreds of Mexican nationals and some American agents. It was typical Democrat under-the-radar politics being masked and implemented by federal agents, ordered to do so from the very highest levels of the Obama administration, which I will wager we will sometime in the future discover to be an impeachable offense.
Eric Holder is whistling past the graveyard at this very moment, loudly declaring himself to be vindicated of all charges, all while the 900 pound gorilla of executive privilege to block the congressional committee’s investigation looms as a huge, hairy question mark. If you, Mr. Holder, and your boss, were simply the innocent victims of malfeasance by underlings, why that fallback to executive privilege. Two questions, Eric:
1. If there was no way to track the weapons once they crossed south of the border, what was the rationale of the plan?
2. If you and your boss aren’t in this up to your ears, why invoke executive privilege?
You’re hiding the true origins and motivations of Fast and Furious. You know it and we out here damned well know it. The IG’s bogus report is but temporary cover. You may think that you have bought off all your scape-goated federal employees, but one or more will turn on you, sooner or later, because among all those career bureaucrats are some honorable agents who mistakenly believed they could follow your orders and serve their country with a dignity you took from them. And if the good guys won’t expose you, there are schemers among them, like you and your boss, who will file a law suit with an eye to the book, television and movie rights.

Perhaps with the upcoming election, we can change things and put new people in office which will bring about a new Attorney General. With that, (and with any luck), a deliberate investigation into these surroundings will take place and perhaps those who have hiding under the umbrella of executive protection will be exposed – followed by, perhaps – criminal charges and justice finally being served.
I believe that we are, unfortunately, surrounded by far too many stupid people for that ti happen.

I have taken the Oath numerous times and absolutely believe in the Constitution, I know far too many others like me that will not lay down and allow this current group of enemies, idiots and bureaucrats to destroy what our fore fathers, and Mothers, have died for and still are dying to defend. four more years of this current administration will see this country on the brink of another civil war, if not in one. Ive said this for years, “The only enemy able to bring down the US is the US.” Closed minded ignorance from the left and their open disdain for the capitalist United States is, and will, push the normally quiet black, white, brown AMERICAN to lash out in retaliation to their attack on our way of life. The reason for “Fast & Furious” was to divert the “dear leader’s” lack of action concerning our border with Mexico. When we (Az) tried to take responsibility for the border, comrade banana and his politbureau went crazy suing any and everyone who had anything to do with the laws enacted trying to address the illegal alien problem. He sided with a foreign country over a state of this union. He sided with a foreign country against states who decided to try to ensure only citizens vote in our elections. I read an article in the Detroit Times claiming their Secretary of State found ‘hundreds’ of illigals registered and many who had voted in recent elections. He’s with them NOT with the United States.

Of course, even an interviewer willing to ask the question has no way of preventing the president from lying through his teeth, but asking the question on camera is a nice first step.
So much for transparency in government. Or any administration by either party. I think we are long past the point of trusting our government, no matter what the flavor.
Once again you see the Democrat idea of taking responsibility. Holder should resign on principle, when your department acts illegally without your knowledge (if you believe that horsesh1t) it means you lack the necessary control of your own department to manage it effectively. Just as Janet Reno took responsibility for killing 80 people while trying to serve one of them a warrant resulted in no job loss for her and no reprimand, Holder taking responsibility means not losing your job.
When your department f#cks up and commits illegal, immoral, and deadly acts without your knowledge you are a total f#cking incompetent and should not be allowed to manage anything else for the rest of your career. Come on Democrats, you’re always telling us how moral and righteous your principles are, how about asking one of your own to be relieved from his position for violating the innate trust of the American people that their duly elected leader would place leaders who value honesty, integrity, and legality over political power in charge of the one department where that should matter more than any other.
And don’t come back with some bullsh1t about Bush, either you are righteous or you are not, pointing out that you believe the other guy is not righteous so it’s okay for you to be a douche bag too is getting a little tired.
@#8, Yat, actually as Michigan’s SoS keeps checking the rolls, the numbers keep rising, she’s found about 4,000 illegals on the voting rolls, and 150-200 convicted felons, so far.
UpNorth: I believe the 4000 figure is an estimate, albeit one based on good statistical data. A review of what appears to be 20+% of the state’s drivers licenses/ID cards issued to noncitizens against voter rolls showed 963 noncitizens registered to vote.

My six year old son has a NYS DMV issued ID card (same process as applying for driver’s license).
Most state DMV will issue the ID regardless of your driving status.
All you have to do is PROVE who your are.
Please don’t tell me or my six year old son it is a burden to get an ID.
If you are LEGAL anyone can get one for FREE.

I don’t think her idea with the citizenship checkbox on the ballot is necesarily a good one seeing as they lied to get on the voter roles in the first place. No reason not to lie again especially when the feds won’t allow her to check most of their citizenship status.
This sort of self-absorbed person usually has no difficulty in sleeping soundly. It’s all part of the pathology. Now, when they deteriorate into full blown paranoia then they have trouble sleeping with themselves, but not because they have done anything wrong. Conscience is not an issue because they have none.
All the more reason for the Pubs to take back Congress and the Presidential seat. Maybe then we can find out the truth and crucify those that truly deserve it.
And I’m not sure I’m being figurative here. I think a good old fashioned Roman Empire crucifixion might just be in order.

The last week of news has me fearing for this country much more than I have before, and that was a lot. I have a 26 yr old Daughter and a two year old Grand Daughter, I really want them to have the opportunities I have had, in an America that is strong. Four more years of this administration will see it disappear and the liberals and fawning worshippers will let it happen, not to mentions those that think they are entittled to everything.
