Useful Idiots

| October 16, 2011

I’ve made a fairly earnest effort to understand ANY point the OWS folks are trying to make. One of the oldest rules of warfare is “Know Your Enemy” after all. Simply pointing and laughing, although fun, is a dangerous tactic once the numbers reach a sort of critical mass. A herd made up of a couple of hundred clowns can trample you if they stampede.

It’s rather obvious that one faction is using The Saul Alinsky Playbook, and some others are anarchists. However, the vast majority are simply useful idiots. Although I’m loathe to cite WND for anything more than Chuck Norris articles there IS a good precis on that subject by Ellis Washington over there.

One analogy might be a gay man supporting the Islamists Arab Spring movement.

But… I’m thinking martyrdom, or cannon fodder. NB, I am NOT using hyperbole when I suggest that the leaders of OWS will be seeking REAL violence. Something well beyond Kent State, in fact.

So I’ve come to pity most of the OWS crowd.

ETA: Perhaps I’ve communicated poorly? By saying “well beyond Kent State” I’m referring to a major earthquake. Think martial law type stuff. One governor has already joked(?) about calling off elections. YMMV

Yup, agreed. I think there are some in this “movement” who would secretly love to see a highly publicized, violent police response in order to galvanize public opinion against law enforcement/government/”the man” and to garner sympathy for their “cause”.

I think we have already seen some of this in some videos of protesters provoking the cops and then, when being arrested, screaming and wailing and writhing around for the camera as if grievously hurt. I think we will see more violent clashes in the near future.

This whole thing is one big anti-authority jerk-off party.

That’s also in the Insurgent playbook. Force a confrontation, then when confrontation happens the “overreaction” is shown all over Al Jazera. What worries me is that these people who really are he’ll bent an “revolution” and are drawing in youthful idealistic fools who won’t bother to stop and ask larger questions. It’s also a favored Marxist tactic. People are sheep afterall and they need to be rilled up and “aimed”.

Will this turn violent? If history is a good indicator, yes. Will it lead to “revolution” not even close, there are too many people wary of further government intervention. European Socialism will not work here because people are (at least right now) too independent, and standoffish. Property ownership is sacred. We don’t have centuries of history of serfs and lords. The conquest of the West defined us as a nation, and though the mindset required is much subdued it is still there.

In the end all these people are doing is pissing into a fan. They will not accomplish anything, and assuming their harassment gets extreme which I expect it to, it might actually backfire.

There’s also the fact that for many of the folks being set up as cannon fodder, this OWS is the first paying job they’ve had since mumsy and daddy sent them off to college.

The irony of having to use basic capitalism in order to drum up support for an anti-capitalist protest is priceless.

“Know thy enemy” … remember these fucksticks have done nothing in life except go to school on mommy and daddy’s dime- spot on Dave O @#3(…NOT the GI Bill I assure you!). This protest is the HIGHLIGHT of their pathetic lives… to be “meaningful and do something.” If they want do change and be meaningful… the Peace Corps is hiring and so are the Ranger Battalions. Fuck these losers. My right to criticize these criticizers will be heard throughout this ordeal!

And sadly, completely lost upon them.

What like that “code Pink Intern”? or like the occupy Austin (or was it LA) that hired mexican laborers to stand an “protest” with signs they couldn’t read. funny how that works.

DOC–I liken these guys to an day laborer (probably) illegal on Harbor Blvd. in Santa Ana when I still lived in CA. If you’re at all familiar with 80’s punk, you’ll know of the band Stormtroopers of Death and their album, Speak English or Die.

This guy was wearing a shirt with that album cover on it. I couldn’t make it up if I tried.

I would have you all refer to my posts on the Hate drawing Hatred. These idiots would be too dumb to notice someone like a Stalin taking them over. Everone having a job doesn’t mean everyone has the job they want, someone has to dig ditches…

It won’t work because they have almost nill support amongst the general population, thank god most people aren’t that stupid yet!

Here’s my latest on Occupy L.A….http://www.ringospictures.com/index.php?page=20111003

It’s fun to laugh at these folks, but they really are dangerous, and I suspect this is going to eventually come to some really bad craziness. At some point these folks are going to have to be forced out of the park and it ain’t going to be pretty.

thanks for the Pictures. I’m sure the place freaking stinks by now.
