Zombie: US Military 1 — Occupy Movement 0

| October 10, 2011

Over at Pajamas Media (there may be some pictures that might not be suitable for work environments), our buddy, Zombie noticed that yesterday in San Francisco more people attended the city’s Fleet Week celebration than attended the “Occupy SF” rally. Did I mention that it was in San Francisco?

There were even folks who took souvenir snap shots with the real heroes;

Did I mention that it was San Francisco? The one in California.

Fleet week generates more people going to SF than almost any other event…. it’s FREE and the Navy puts on a hell of a good airshow. Even the hippies are in awwwwwww…

Okay, I have a confession to make that beats Jonn’s “Can you be dumber than me” piece about forgetting that today is a Federal holiday. See that banner in the picture? Well, when that was a new slogan, I saw it featured on bumperstickers and thought, “Goar my? What the heck does that mean?” When it dawned on me one day that the word I was pronouncing is spelled g-o-r-e, I finally realized that it was GO Army. I am not kidding. See, Jonn, there is always someone dumber.

Guys – the C in my handle stands for California! Anyway, I can give you live commentary from Occupy SF if you like. My office is right next to the Federal Reserve building and I see (smell) these clowns every day. It’s the weakest most pathetic protest I’ve ever seen. It looks like 3 clowns from berkley rounded up a bunch of homeless people from the Haight or Hunter’s point, gave them some tents and told them to camp outside the FRB. It’s hilarious.

The Bay Area used to be a great military town, and I tip my hat every morning when I run by the Presidio to the men who were there in ages past.

I feel sorry for that poor kitten.
