According to the Washington Post, Yonathan Melaku video taped himself shouting “Allah Akbar” while firing at Quantico’s Marine Corps Museum last year;
At a news conference Thursday morning, prosecutors and the FBI declined to comment on Melaku’s motivation in the shootings.
“Today’s charges allege a pattern of violent behavior…we believe his statements that he’s targeting military installations speak to his desire to engage in violent activity against the military,” U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride said.
Yeah, why would they need to comment on his motivations? Obviously, he has a thing about militaria kept in museums. OK, he has a desire to engage in violent activity against the military, he videos himself shouting “God is great” in Arabic while he shoots at a window, so why can’t you guys just say the words we all have bouncing around in our heads?
How does not calling him a Muslim jihadist make us safer?

Melaku just proved to those desparately wanting proof that all veterans are terrorists. Easy money most folks will only ever know he’s a Marine.
