Paulistas interrupt Cheney at CPAC

| February 11, 2011

So while Dick Cheney made a surprise appearance at the CPAC conference he was interrupted by chanting Paulians, immature little twits who couldn’t get a room at Chuck E. Cheese for their antics (Huffington Post link);

Making a surprise appearance at the conference to introduce former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld for a CPAC “Defender of the Constitution Award”, Cheney told the audience to “sit down and shut up” after a crescendo of “USA, USA” chants, reportedly triggered by a “where’s Bin Laden?” exclamation.

In the following moments of silence, screams of “war criminal,” “murdering scum,” and “draft dodger,” were reportedly hurled at Cheney.

According to a tweet from Slate’s Dave Weigel, another malcontent later yelled “show us the shekels, Dick!” before being promptly removed by security.

For some reason, Paulians think this is the way to take over the Republican Party…by being fucking morons. Tell me how shouting out Democrat talking points is constructive. Paulians claim to be some sort of Libertarian, but their nothing more than Democrats with Libertine drivel. Rand Paul’s endorsement of IVAW’s Adam Kokesh congressional run in New Mexico was no accident.

I had a run-in with one of the Ronulans in the 2008 primary season. I disagreed with them, told them so, and for my trouble damn near got fired when they called my company HR and claimed I was stalking them.

Idiots, the whole fucking lot of them.

As long as the Tea Party is in place, the Paulians won’t have a chance to take over the GOP. It’s that simple, because the Paulians aren’t conservative and the Tea Party is working, with some success, at bringing the GOP back into the conservative fold. Those Paulians that think the Tea Party is all about them and their goals are sadly mistaken. Rand Paul got lucky and said just enough of the right things to get the nod, however, his actions are being closely monitored and if ehe ever hopes to get re-elected, he better watch his voting record, because others are, you can count on that.

Ronulans have ruined CPAC.

I went in 2007. It was fantastic. I wouldn’t go again now. I don’t want to deal with the in-your-face facts-don’t-matter assholes and their undying loyalty to Paul.

UpNorth

A group of people who give mouth-breathers a bad name, and they think they have to go out in public and just reinforce that perception of them and their “favorite son”?
“Show us the shekels”? Nice, throw in anti-Semitism along with ignorance.

And as if anyone needed any more proof of CPAC’s growing irrelevance, the straw poll had Ron Paul winning over Romney, Christie, et al.

These people think Ron Paul’s shit doesn’t stink. Don’t try telling them otherwise.

…and on that note, Paulbots showing up in 3…2…1…

[…] expected, there were a good number of Ron Paul supporters in the mix, many of them students. The heckling of Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld seems to have been the exception, not the rule. Most everyone I talked to was polite and civil, […]
