ABC takes an interest in Stolen Valor

| September 17, 2010

Folks have been wondering why none of the network TV reporters have taken an interest in the multitude of Stolen Valor phony soldiers who have popped up in the last few years. Well, our wait has ended – ABC has produced a show due for release soon. Oh, not the ABC we know here in the US, but the Australian Broadcasting Corporation;

A five minute teaser of the REAL JOURNALISTIC INVESTIGATION has been released on YouTube which stars our old friend Richard Strandlof – but you’ll see pictures of some of our other friends included in the video;

Although we’ve seen media like the Kansas City Star do reports on the Stolen Valor epidemic, no other American broadcaster has bothered to expose the public to this issue. Now that our allies in Oz have, maybe the half-wits in our own media will catch on.

Thanks to Doug Sterner for the link.

I truly despise these posers who pretend to be what they are not. Personally they need to be taken out several miles on the ocean and made to bleed then tossed overboard and told they need to start swimming before the sharks arrive.

Lucky

Finally!!!! Even if it is our Digger brethren!

I suggest kicking the fakes in the balls on public TV.

No. They won’t. It does not match the point of their anti military and anti American propaganda for the left.

In the case of these “poseurs”, whether civilian or military, both do it to achieve recognition that they did not earn and do not merit. If this were a main story on network TV, wouldn’t it be detrimental to the military itself by adding fuel to the fire of the “anti military and anti American propaganda”? For instance, it could end up being a story along the lines of “look how easy it was for this guy to get away with this.” or “false military glory hounds”, or “what happened to honour”. And to cover my ass here, I am NOT saying that it shouldn’t be on network TV, I am offering possible scenarios. Either way, an informed public is always better than an ignorant one.

Sorry, Jonn–but it’s highly unlikely that the MSM here will ever acknowledge and call out the phonies. Hell, most of the “veterans” they’ve featured or pushed to the forefront have been phonies since the 1980’s. (Think of the “The Wall Within from CBS…)

I can’t wait for the show to begin.
I have the same feelings as the Grunt. I can not stomach all of these Posers.
Get knowledge of them to the public.
Also to the Vets, a lot do not know what these phonies are claiming. Read the obit of the Stump story. Other Vets were impressed by his feats that he NEVER did, and these lies are on his HEADSTONE, which I’m am trying to get changed.
