People, people who need people and hope and change and something something

| July 2, 2008

Bear in mind while reading this offal that the arsehat author of this nonsense lives in this house:

Babs House

OK, so away we go:

Barack has awakened in many of us the notion that we can again be hopeful, enabling us to believe that we are capable of lifting our brothers and sisters out of poverty, of providing quality education for all our children, of ending this unjust war in Iraq and bringing our troops home safely.

Dude, are you kidding me? What in the holy hell would you know about poverty? Try working for a non profit for a while. My Apartment could probably fit in your dining room. Education for “all our children”? I’m flat broke because my taxes keep going up to pay for all the children. How about we worry less about the Children and more about us grown up adolescents? Are you having the troops over to your house for a beach party? Pick me, pick me.

He’s reminded us ‘yes we can’…we can make the transition from fossil fuels to green energy; we can take care of our elderly and make sure that good healthcare is not just a perk for a few, but a right for every man, woman and child.

Yes we can what? Green energy? I’m willing to bet your electricty bill is more per year than my salary is. People in palatial mansions should not throw sod. You want green energy, put some damn solar panels on that roof, set up some wind turbines, and stop using your 9 chimneys when you live in Southern California. Healthcare as a right? How has that worked out in Canada?

We are experiencing not just a presidential campaign, but a movement; a movement of inspired young people who have been cynical about politics for too long. For Barack, hope, change, believe…they are not just words.

Seriously, what does that even mean? And if they are young people, how long could they have been cynical? Were they born cynical? Is there a tear in the time-space-cynic continuum? Are they youthful curmudgeons? Or are you just stringing words together again? If you want a movement, eat more fiber.

And with that, kindly crawl back into your cave and sell your fruitloops there Toucan Barbra.

Frankly Opinionated

Typical Moonbatic drivel. Not a word of sense, real sense, just flippin’ drivel.

TSO: Dare I hope that your signoff is a reference to the incomparable Michael T. “Nuf Ced” McGreevy? I know Maggie is with me on that luminary…

LT Nixon

What an old bag! Besides my house is bigger and has monster trucks parked out front.

Babs sees little pink bunnies and the like from her perch as well. It’s just so easy to pick on her… I’m kinda disappointed.

These people are on some major hallucinogenic drugs. Change, hope, believe … are just words, they’re not policies.
I have no snark to combat the insanity of these idiotic people. Their own rhetoric exposes them.

KansasGirl

What a dolt!

I’m afraid that her brain has turned to “Buttah”. The sad thing is she was a talented comic actress and singer (had to be… she didn’t get there on her looks!) who I moderately enjoyed watching and listening to while I was growing up. Now I just can’t stand her. Tried to watch “What’s Up Doc” the other day and had to turn it off.

sing it with me

“Memories… of when Barbara had a mind
Misty water colored memories…
Now I watch Ben Hur.”

Opening disclaimer- I am not a supporter of Obama, McCain, or any other person or party.

I think it is a shame how you all have been conditioned to believe that people like Barbara Streisand, Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, etc… are the evil ones who are causing our problems and need to be hated while people like Cheney, Bush, and Rumsfeld get a pass.

These celebrity-activists are a symptom of the larger problem of people viewing Govt as an all powerful provider of protection, comfort, and wellness. But those who oppose them (you all) generally support an all powerful warfare state/watchdog of the world/Patriot Act wielding/ moral authority/ religious-militaristic empire.

Both sides fail to realize that the Govt and the State itself is the real usurper of liberty that should be mistrusted.

Ray said “The sad thing is she was a talented comic actress and singer (had to be… she didn’t get there on her looks!” and I was thinking how glad I am that TSO used a decent picture of her. A current one would blind a person! She’s ugly inside and out. And Rooney, sorry, but to me somehow your opening disclaimer rings hollow.

Rooney

usnretwife- the disclaimer is sincere.

Both sides need to realize the Govt isn’t the answer to their cause.

I love her singing voice, but my god, she’s an ignoramus. Unless you have to eat trash for dinner, or walk 6 miles to work one way, tell me wo the fuck she is to say she has no hope? Damn, these people piss me off. They “feel” everything and write and spew, but none of them actually do anything other than throw money away at social events. DO they go and build habitat homes? Hell, even I can give Jimmah Carter kudos for that.
Green is not the new Red, White and Blue…healthcare for the elderly? Newsflash…already have it, not the best but it’s there. Babs has milions…why doesn’t she just sponsor a family of five for a measly 3600. a year? Hell, she pays that much for dresses and shoes!
Young people cynical about politics…consider the political correctness and the damn indoctrinating by all the tenured libs.
TSO- “If you need a movement” had me rolling…!!
