Peace Activist/IVAW Biographer calls for insurrection, riots, civilian deaths
Via the Hot Air Headline thing, I give you IVAW author Chris Hedges:
Here’s to the Greeks. They know what to do when corporations pillage and loot their country. They know what to do when Goldman Sachs and international bankers collude with their power elite to falsify economic data and then make billions betting that the Greek economy will collapse. They know what to do when they are told their pensions, benefits and jobs have to be cut to pay corporate banks, which screwed them in the first place. Call a general strike. Riot. Shut down the city centers. Toss the bastards out. Do not be afraid of the language of class warfare—the rich versus the poor, the oligarchs versus the citizens, the capitalists versus the proletariat. The Greeks, unlike most of us, get it.

As usual, the meeting of the mind (singular) misses the point. It’s NOT the corporations, stupid, it’s the government and unions. Corporations know that they have to compete, and keep their hosts (customers and workers) alive and at least semi-happy in order to stay alive themselves.
Gubbments have no such feeling of self-preservation. They think they can rob their citizens/serfs/sheeple forever & get away with it.

To hear about some of the lavish paychecks the lucky Greeks (as opposed to the rest of the Greeks) have been getting (can’t say earned), makes me almost wish I were over there 10 years ago or so. Fourteen paychecks per year??!! W-T-F!!??
Why is it the leftists, who are against guns, who are always talking about starting shit? Do they not understand that the molotov cocktail in their hand isn’t gonna stand up to a flurry of gunplay?
Maybe we should send this to the PhD…so he can see who is actually serious about starting trouble. No. Wait. Then it would mean “his” side who *does use* high minded civic debate are the radicals who need to get *their* houses in order.
