Iran’s nuclear program set back years by strikes: President Trump would hit them again if they get rebuilt
President Donald Trump is at a NATO summit. The U.S. strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities were a part of the discussions and contributed to Trump’s being well received. Trump even succeeded with getting most NATO countries to commit to increasing their military spending to 5% of GDP. The U.S. isn’t expected to raise its spending to 5% given its contribution to the total NATO spending. When asked if he would order strikes against Iran if they rebuild their nuclear program, Trump responded with, “Sure.” According to Israeli intelligence, Iran’s nuclear program has been set back by many years.
From Fox News:
A reporter asked Trump whether he would strike Iran again if it were to rebuild its nuclear facilities.
“Sure,” came Trump’s blunt response.
The exchange came after NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte praised Trump as a “man of strength” and a “man of peace” during Wednesday’s summit.
“I just want to recognize your decisive action on Iran,” Rutte said at the start of his joint remarks with the president. “You are a man of strength, but you are also a man of peace. And the fact that you are now also successful in getting this ceasefire done between Israel and Iran — I really want to commend you for that. I think this is important for the whole world.”
Rutte also praised Trump’s effort to get NATO members to pay more and said the president was “flying into another big success” after all countries–except Spain–agreed to spend 5% of their GDP on defense. He added that Trump achieved something “NO American president in decades could get done.”
Leaders of NATO member states had mixed reactions to the strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities, with several calling for de-escalation while acknowledging the threat a nuclear Iran would pose to global security.
Trump cajoled Iran and Israel into a ceasefire on Tuesday that has so far held after an uncertain start that saw Trump unleash his frustration with both countries.

I’m giving more credence to Israeli BDAs than some low-level anon source with TDS.
For one thing, the Israelis have more skin in the game, and don’t propagandize in the same levels as the rag-heads and (D)emon-rats.
They have to balance between feeding Trump’s ego and the survival of the state. But they are all in on America.
Any setback is a win.
Saw a photo showing three holes and when you zoom to the center hole there is a dusty Bugs Bunny with thumbs up and the caption over Bugs said, “Thanks for the remodel, Doc.”
Not sure if it’s official or not, I thought Bugs retired long ago.
He shoulda taken that left turn in Albuquerque.
In the second set of holes there are several tracks of figure eights that can only be attributed to a flightless bird and a coyote.
You know…in the history of this Republic we’ve had some true leaders that gave us good advice…that we used to try and follow. I speak, of course, of men such as George Washington, “..avoid foreign entanglements…” Bobby Lee, “…adventurous abroad and despotic at home…” Teddy R, “…Speak softly and carry a big stick…” Georgie Patton, “…we ought the wrong enemy…” Ike, “…beware the MIC…”.
We have lost sight of those types of leaders, listening those “selected” because they told us what they thought we wanted to hear, in our rush to be the world’s policeman, and the piggy bank to despots…and parasites. I’m not a fan of either. Everyone of us have served in one or both of those positions with our oath and our tax $s. Oddly, we haven’t really been called to defend The Constitution of these States United, or The Homeland, 9/11 not withstanding. When did it become our responsibility to defend the world’s oil supply…and AIPAC? Iran’s threat to shut down the Straits? Bison Bagels! How long before their neighbors say, “No we want to ship our oil out to the world, too!”?
All that being said, did Iran need a good bitch slap? Yep, and past due. P’nut man shoulda done it back in ’79. Did Trump bitch slap them for his ego or because AIPAC told him too? Blogosphere is full of those conversations. Personally, I don’t know and don’t care. I am of the opinion that when the dust settles from this latest, it won’t be too long before the announcement is made that “Iran is only weeks away from having nukes, We MUST…BOMB BOMB BOMB, BOMB BOMB IRAN…” again.
“The war is not to be won, the war meant to be continuous.” Another dude named George.
YMMV
I would add Smedley Butler to that list…War is a Racket…
The Iranian government and its military should first experience a 444 day bombing campaign for each day Americans were held captive from 1979…followed by another 241 day bombing campaign for all American lives lost after the Beirut barracks bombing in 1983, rounded out with another bombing campaign for every American killed or injured in Iraq and Afghanistan due to IEdlD or VBIEDs designed by Iranians.
We could do this all day long…
This is why we have wars.
I have an idea, Maybe we just add it all together…..
444+241+315 for no random idea except to make it an even Grand and then maybe we can just drop ONE bomb there and make it 1,000 degrees.
Don’t forget to leave a tip…
And just the tip.
My opinion being is “we” (the U.S) haven’t done much in terms of reprisals over the years… except sit back and take it (not counting NIMBLE ARCHER or PRAYING MANTIS).
We all hear we’ve been at war with them since 1979, but it seems most our time has been spent on putting up with attacks by their proxies and not doing much about it.
Considering the conditions for air superiority are set, kicking in their teeth might diminish their will to rattle sabers – or at least send a signal they ought to spend whatever remaining amount of money Obama gave them on something a little more worthwhile.
Or perhaps my recollection of history is skewed and I’m wrong.
Just my .02 cents.
Iran thinks we have been at war since 1953, since Operation Ajax, when British and US operatives overthrew the Democratically elected government and installed a dictator.
