Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin revokes plea deal for 9/11 terrorists

The deal was revoked for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and two others who played a large role in the terror attacks on 9/11
By Stepheny Price Fox News

The plea deal that prosecutors agreed to with three of the terrorists behind the Sept. 11 terror attacks who were awaiting trial in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, has been revoked by Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III.

On Friday, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III took the lead on the case and effectively put the death penalty back on the table for Khalid Shaikh Mohammad, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi.

The defendants are accused of providing training, financial support and other assistance to the 19 terrorists who hijacked passenger jets and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 11, 2001.

The attacks killed nearly 3,000 people in the worst terror attack on U.S. soil in American history. Loved ones of the victims expressed outrage upon hearing news of the deal.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment.

Didn’t see this coming and couldn’t be more surprised with the SECDEF’s decision. Of course there should never been a plea deal in the first place; it smacks of an unholy alliance between the Foggy Bottom Boys at State and Garland’s DOJ bobbleheads. Lloyd just tossed a crowbar into the gearbox, and it’s going to be entertaining to watch the ensuing festivities.
I’ll say it, well done!

Don’t disagree with the action, but can’t help but wonder if it’s a political move to help out kamala in Nov??

5JC

Every single thing between now and the election is political.

Fyrfighter

Agreed.. I can’t help finding it hard to believe that for the first time as Sec Def, Darth Austin would suddenly do the right thing…

Green Thumb

Well, he was actually in the office for once when it happened…..

Austin and a broke clock have a lot in common…

Austin and a broke dick have a lot in common.

Skippy

Why yes it is
The deal is back on after the election
This year they are going to be sloppy

Amateur Historian

Well, regardless if it is a political move or not, the chance to put these bastards in the ground is back on the table. I’ll consider that a win.

Still voting for Trump, though.

Fyrfighter

With any luck, it’ll backfire and piss off the democrat terrorists we’ve been seeing on college campuses and such..

KoB

Yep…Who told him to do this? And why? Boil these m’fers in bacon drippings.

A Proud Infidel®™

Since when has any action of the Joke Biteme administration NOT been purely political?

LC

Nice to see organizational leadership. I don’t fault the lawyers for doing what lawyers are likely to do, but I’m glad he stepped in and opted for a hard line on justice vs routine process.

5JC

More like; does the right thing when everyone is watching and there are clear, immediate negative personal outcomes for doing the wrong thing.

Tallywhagger

He actually DID something that matters!

Better that the executions should be accelerated and conducted by hanging from federal gallows in the Rotunda–or maybe at the mosque that was erected on the ground that once supported the WTC.

Hell, hang them in the Rotunda and leave the gallows in place as a constant reminder that justice will be done, eventually.

Then, put the murders heads on pikes before the islamic abomination where the WTC once stood.

Graybeard

They should be executed immediately.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

And now, possibly with regime malice aforethought, the shitbag can appeal to SCOTUS that the whole thing is political, undue influence, he had a valid agreement, horsepoop, goatgrunt, etc. On a silver platter it was handed.

FJB! Who will now proceed to “angry old man” rage-fail crazy-coots his way out the door.

I joked about “2024 – The Shark Jumps Fonzie”. It was a joke folks, not prophecy.

I should write for the Babylon Bee…..

NHSparky

How long until he gets overridden? My guess is it’ll be sometime between November 6th and January 19th. Just a wild guess, no rhyme or reason to it.

I’m not unhappy with the development but I am curious. What is the sec def’s legal standing to in effect, rule or deny, a judicial proceeding? If he has such standing, how is that not command interference?

Anonymous

Military tribunal and he’s SecDef.

Dark Vader is a piece of shit. He did not go to bat for the troops in Afghanistan, he did not go to bat for the troops against the jab. He only does what his masters tell him to do. Someone told him to do this.

The first kudos, I have to give to secretary Austin. Regardless of the motivation, the outcome is the right one. Whether those three defendants rot in Guantánamo or rot in hell, the objective is keeping them out of public circulation.

Awww, the poor babies.

Now, I think we should adopt the Japanese way of scheduling executions. The condemned is never told when the execution will take place. You simply wake up one morning and that’s the last morning of your life. You find that out when they show up at your door to take you to the hangman.

I think it would be excellent for these shitbags to live the rest of their lives with that anxiety. Never knowing. And I’d have no problem with that anxiety lingering for an extended period…but not too extended.

A Proud Infidel®™

AMEN, PREACH IT!!!

Deckie

You’re assuming these inbred animals suffer from anxiety, regret, shame, etc…

I heard the prisoner was walked down a hallway with a tile floor with a drain; the prisoner was shot in the back of head by a guard following behind him. Then the blood was washed down the drain as the body was carried away.
