New York Time’s writers criticize informed citizen oversight of election integrity

| March 9, 2024

Writers for the New York Times, Alexandra Berzon and Nick Corasaniti, penned an article titled, “Trump’s Allies Ramp Up Campaign Targeting Voter Rolls.” These writers criticized efforts to make sure that the voter lists accurately represent the list of eligible voters, efforts to update voter lists, efforts to purge ineligible voters to include the deceased from voter lists, etc. These writers downplayed these citizens’ concerns.

From The Federalist:

The Times also took umbrage with election integrity activists for raising concerns about suspicious or incorrect addresses on voter registrations. After the 2020 election, Mark Davis, a data expert in Georgia, reported tens of thousands of voters on file who “had filed changes of address to an address in a different county more than 30 days before the election” but still voted in their old county. After the election, Davis noted, “more than a third of those voters” updated their voter registration or driver’s licenses to match their new address, further calling the validity of their votes into question.

But Berzon and Corasaniti didn’t mention Davis’ findings, instead downplaying the concerns of citizens like him by dismissing the address discrepancies on voter rolls as simply “addresses with irregularities, such as missing an apartment number.”

When corporate media outlets treat citizens like conspiracy theorists for being concerned about election integrity, it does the opposite of creating trust in elections. When they shrug off indisputable problems, as the Detroit Free Press did in 2016, because they may not be “sizable enough to affect the outcome,” it leaves voters with less confidence in their electoral process.

It also leaves them wondering — why are the corporate media and their Democrat allies so uncomfortable with citizens who want to make sure their elections are secure?

And they are likely mail in ballots with no folds in them. But don’t worry, D-rats, they all have the oval for Biden filled in.

3000-count batches of Democrat straight-ticket ballots, courtesy of xerox…

I think it was back in the 60’s I first encountered a voting
machine instead of a paper ballot. It was a large panel with
many toggle switches that you set indicating your choices.
Now that I am an old man I realize how easy it is to steal an
election using other than paper ballots that require proof of
citizenship (photo ID) and strong tally oversight.
My dog could vote. Not sure about cats but pretty sure I could
get a ballot for him in todays enviroment.
Trump 2024 or it’s all over for America.

Nope…Everybody always forgets about the Soap Box…you know…that whole “Freedom of Speech” thing. It predates Mr. Douglas.

AZRobert

Used to be a soap box or the area of the Commons to make your case for the ballot box…

With Common Core it could be 9!

Cats could vote, if they so choose – they just don’t care enough not to. They are the true radical libertarians of the animal kingdom: Leave me alone or I’ll rake a feces-laden claw across everything you put in range.

The NYT was once a respected source for news. Now it’s barely suitable for wrapping fish or lining bird cages, with my apologies to fish and birds everywhere. The old gray lady ain’t what she used to be.

The entire Medium Industrial Complex is in the bag for Democrats since 2008. They used to call ‘balls & strikes’ on the right and left, but once Saint Barry ascended to the throne and made racism the name of the game they can’t help themselves. Every day all fucking day the MIC is hating on ANYTHING or anyone not 100% in lockstep with “the current thing”. You can’t even watch sports without “the message” being blared through a bull horn.

Odie

So true.

The problem with the current thing and the message (however entertaining and profitable for many) is that it’s poor situational awareness and complacent… as Rick Blaine said:

It’s “fascist” if people disagree and don’t think like Democrats for ’em:

Accurate lists of eligible voters is the last thing the NYT wants.

rgr769

In Wisconsin, they have over 7 million people registered to vote on its voter rolls, yet the census and other records show that only about 3 million people are eligible to vote. D-rats love bloated voter registration rolls that are full of dead people and others who are ineligible to vote.

Odie

It’s the new math.

NYT: You must an ID and positive proof of the vaxx to shop, travel or go to church!!!

NYT: Showing an ID and voting in person be rayciss.

I stopped at a local gas station to buy a pack of smokes, and they asked for ID. At 63, I’m not going to be confused with a minor attempting to purchase. They told me that in order to buy, they needed to scan my license. I politely told them thanks, but no. Who knows where that info is being stored, and what business is it of theirs to know what I’m doing.

Steve1371

I have run into the same thing in Some Vermont stores. I tell them to keep their beer, I will get at a store that still believes in freedom.

Of course, we must count the illegal aliens. How else will Pedo Joe and the Ho get re-elected?

Odie

Not sure about pedo Joe, but the ho has skills.

UpNorth

Well, the Pedo does show a remarkable ability to sniff hair. Maybe he’s been taking huffing lessons from Hunter?

Voted in the primary last Tuesday.
When I went in, there was a sign on the door.
Every 2 hours the posted the number of ballots cast.
They hadn’t tabulated them, but they counted them EVERY 2 HOURS!!!
If THAT was required in every precinct, every election. I might have a little more confidence in our elections. Not a lot, but at least a little.
We seriously need to get a chokehold on “mail in ballot” shenanigans before I have even a scintilla more confidence in the election.
Especially when you get precincts that have Iraqi election level turnout (107% of all registered voters voted)
