“It is never easy for victims of violence to stand up to those that are trying to hurt and kill them.”

MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman was commended for her bravery after shooting and killing a man that posed an imminent threat to her and her kids in McMinnville on Monday, according to District Attorney General Chris Stanford.Stanford said just before noon the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and McMinnville City Police Department responded to a shooting on Grandview Avenue in McMinnville.
Law enforcement determined that Maurice Malone, 38, had been shot in the chest and died due to the gunshot wound. Through further investigation, law enforcement said that the woman who shot him had an honest and reasonable belief that the then occurring and previous actions, threats and behaviors of Malone posed an imminent threat to Desiree Mears and her minor children.
The shooting death of Malone was deemed justified as self-defense and defense to third parties, according to the DA.

I doubt the pistol packin’ mama bear will lose much sleep over the passing of Mr. Malone.

The gunshot ‘victim’ and his pal at least had it together enough to hit a jewelry store instead of a Dollar General. BZ to the clerk for stopping the attack. No word on his condition, physically or legally. Thanks again for the links, Gun Bunny.

I loved using mine for breaching the door when we ran out of shotgun rounds! Nothing like kicking in a door you have already fired 100rds through to seperate the hinges!!!
Does some actually have to carry that around? Empty weight is about 84 lbs.
Very handsome and can probably reach WAY out there to touch someone.
Mr Malone would not leave them alone,
Now his final resting place is marked with a stone.
They should carve that into that very stone. It’s so poetic.
That Hartford Connecticut story is very confusing because they keep calling the wounded robber the victim when he and his friend were robbing the store.
Welcome to our world of FGS research/postings, MIRanger. Mostly dazed and confused. The word “victim” in this case is poor “victim” selection skilz. BZ to Mama Bear and feisty store clerks everywhere.
Fight back! Bring any and every weapon to bear…’specially one that is endorsed by Colonel Cooper.
“…Maurice Malone, 38, had been shot in the chest and died due to the gunshot wound…”
Well, I suppose that makes more sense that being shot in the chest and dying from complications of Altzheimer’s.
