Tuesday Short Takes – AOC Aide comes out, Biden award
Not huge shock, now. Justine Medina, a senior aide to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC, aka Occasional Cortex), has made it official that she is not just A Communist, but one of New York’s THE Communists.
“Well, I am a Communist, but work for AOC,” she said proudly in a tweet from October 2020.
“It is true the path there will be unkind to those who block progress, but Communism is good and should not scare you,” she noted darkly in the same posting.
In AOC’s campaign, Medina was responsible for “organizing & writing policy language with Anti-War Veterans & the Peace Movement,” she noted in March.
In July 2021, she was identified as “co-chair of the New York Young Communist League” by the Communist Party newspaper People’s World. The same publication today identifies her as a member of the “Executive Committee of the New York State Communist Party.” NY Post
So nice to see young people progressing in their chosen field – in her case, making threats and promoting insurrection. It should be noted that she is another rich kid from well-to-do Cuban immigrant (supposedly anti-Communist but contributors to the Clintons – you decide) parents. Moving on – President Joe Biden received an honorary doctorate Saturday from Howard University. President Biden was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Howard University on Saturday for his “analytical intellect” and “popularity on both sides”. Ya just can’t make this stuff up.
Dr. Wayne Frederick, the president of Howard University, introduced Biden with high praise at the school’s 155th commencement on Saturday.
“Admired for your sound analytical intellect and open embrace for all, your popularity on both sides of the aisle of the United States led to your illustrious reputation and outstanding service of 36 years as a Democratic senator from Delaware beginning at a tender age of 29,” Frederick said of Biden.
An April poll in Gallup showed Biden’s approval rating at an all-time low of 37%. An ABC News/Washington Post poll released last Sunday found that 63% of American adults do not think Biden, 80, has the “mental sharpness” it takes to serve effectively as president. Fox

One of the funniest encounters I’ve had in the nice little shore town where I keep my sailboat was the day I was wearing my October 9th, 1967 Che shirt (it has a photo of a dead Che with the signage “Another Special Operations Success Story”) and I bumped into couple of wienies wearing the celebratory Che shirts…with iPhones, designer shoes, iWatch, and driving an Audi and they were with a kid wearing a Pride shirt…we were arriving at a restaurant and they were leaving….
They told me my shirt was tasteless to which I replied a murderer brought to justice is far more tasteful than a shirt idolizing a man who would have murdered all three of you for being affluent and in the company of a gay man. I said you are everything he hated about the west, and celebrating him with those shirts is tasteless to me…they then left in a huff…and my wife has asked me to stop wearing that shirt…but I found it all amusing.

The Communist AOC aide? No surprise there. It has, after all, been over 100 years since the Bolsheviks peacefully assumed power in Russia. No Mensheviks or other non-compliant Communists were harmed, and certainly no established royal families. There was never a purge of the government and military of those Stalin deemed to be threats, and the glorious Soviet Union became the second Superpower in the world, behind only the highly flawed and imperialistic Capitalist United States which sought to corrupt the Peoples of the World. Subsequent Communist utopian societies and regimes sprung up rapidly, like China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, oh, and the Khmer Rouge.
In reality, these useful idiots embracing communism and socialism will be the first to get crushed under the boot of totalitarianism. There will be a very few, mostly those already wielding substantial political and/or military power, holding the reins. Nose rings, colored hair, and college degrees in gender studies are useless to elites in power. In other words, let’s imagine that the socialists win. AOC is Madame Presidente, she’ll have her core team of strong men (with some female presence for the illusion of inclusivity) willing to take out political dissidents. Medina, as a “senior aide” may be kept on for a few years, but her name is now known. Madame Presidente will use her as a lackey until she is no longer useful. If she’s lucky, she becomes the Leon Trotsky or the Lavrentiy Beria of the regime, highly regarded by AOCists, then executed by the following government. If she’s unlucky, she’s sent to Alaska to work on a communal sugarcane farm, with output determining quality of life.

Looks like they launched a volley of 6 hypersonics from six different angles and 18 other missiles, all targeting the system itself. That could be enough to overload the system depending on a host of factors.
Some agencies reported seeing impacts near where some of the launchers were positioned. US media is awaiting confirmation to report on this awkward event.
