1 dead, 2 wounded in Bluefield, W.Va. shooting

According to Detective Lt. Kenneth Adams with the Bluefield, W.Va. Police Department — 18-year-old Javon Lowe was taken to the Bluefield, W.Va. Emergency Room where he died at the hospital. He was shot once in the abdomen and buttocks.Adams added A report came in Friday regarding a male, later identified as Lowe, who had been shot and was driving a car, before crashing into a garage at the corner of Spokane Ave. and Pen Mar Ave. in Bluefield, W.Va.. Two people then removed the male from the car to perform CPR.
Adams reports Lowe had been in a years-long argument with an individual, who’s home Lowe went to while armed.

Witnesses say the man complained about loud music earlier. As an officer was investigating, the man came back.
HOUSTON — A man who witnesses say was complaining about loud music at a graduation party in north Houston Saturday night was shot and killed by an officer.
It happened on Palmyra Street, near the intersection of Fulton and East Crosstimbers.
Assistant Chief Ban Tien with the Houston Police Department said officers were sent there at around 11:15 p.m. on a weapons call.
“During the celebration, a male who is believed to live in the neighborhood confronted them and basically yelling and hollering, claiming the music is too loud,” Tien said. “The male basically threatened that they turn the music down or he would be back.”
While the officer was there, the man came back, still armed with a knife, and started to approach the officer.

I hope the ‘graduate’ remembers that one time where the idiocy of their friends and family led to someone snapping later when they enter college.

Yeah knife guy was an asshole. I have no doubt he was given more than one invitation to put the knife down and refused. Once you approach an Officer / Deputy with a knife and disregard the invitation to let gravity have the knife you will then be invited to take the room temperature challenge.
No doubt, he earned it iff’n so. Everything up to that was preventable and unnecessary.
Depends on the music.
If it was Rap, I’d bring heavy firepower, grenades, claymore mines, air cover, napalm, and Beverly Sills.
If it was good ol’ Rock and Roll, I’d bring my own bottle and have fun.
I guess knife man was never young and never had a graduating party that lasted (a little) too long.
If he’d waited, it would have all been quiet the next day, and he could have had his revenge by banging pots and pans and giving headaches to the hung over partiers.
Nice looking Tommy gun. The ones we had aboard our ship didn’t have the forward hand grip and I think that these were made for the US Navy. Something to do with the rate of fire I think. Hopefully someone will have the straight skinny on the sub gun. We also had M-1 Garands, BAR’s, M-1 Carbines, 1911 Colt’s and Browning 30’s. I remember a couple of days before going on station off of Santo Domingo, (Dominican Republic) in 1965, the gunners Mates test fired the 30’s. off of the port aircraft elevator.
The handguard was removable and the 1928 Thompson as adopted for the Navy did not use it. The services also preferred stick magazines – easier to carty and clean, much less prone to jamming.
Thopmson trivia: usedtabe weapons nomenclature was based on adoption year, ie: M1911, Model 1873, M1903. The Thompson was the last to be so numbered, and we went one-up ie: M1, M4, M9 etc.
The military Thompsons had the Cutts compensator, the micrometer rear sight, forward pistol grip, and the finned barrels deleted. Anyway, that is what the Army adopted. A soldier on one of my LRRP teams carried one. He bought it from someone in country. My supply sgt. had a hell of a time scrounging up enough mags so I would let him carry it on patrol.
