Good stuff as always, almost done in Yokosuka fixing the GW. And I got jury duty the week after I return.

So… the system showing its gratitude per usual?

I’ll say it, thanks for being a responsible and engaged citizen.

Ironically…Sam is a demonrat. Did commercials for sniffy creepy campaign in ’20, more for “The Lincoln Project” and supported Kum Hella in ’24. And that’s why they call it “acting”.

I did not know that. At least he’s smarter in his choices of movie roles he takes.

Whoa! Unbelievable.

I have a lot of memes that I need to erase.

All that did was further entrench my supra-American instincts to limit the size, scope and powers of the federal government.

I’d use Sam’s face to break the “in case of emergency glass” for access to the reset button.

If only I had seen that ad before the election it might have swayed my vote. Then we would be a united America instead of a divided one.

Which Sam is this?

SgtM

Pro tip? So Sam Elliott is a a multi generational heart throb. Which means that most women really like him. However, he is just an actor that plays masculine roles. The ad was targeted at men though, not women. But since he isn’t truly an alpha there was no way that ad was going to influence men.

An actual alpha or even a really appealing woman would likely have met some success. Therein lies the problem. There are so few actual strong and appealing women in the Dem ballpark and the men are pretty much all whiny betas and shysters.

Actors…

Weird. I spent over an hour talking to him in the bar at the Farnsworth House bar in Gettysburg, PA. This was in ‘91 during the filming of “Gettysburg.” But we were talking about his character, General John Buford, and the Battle of Brandy Station. So, politics did not come up. He is the nicest, down to earth, famous actor I have ever met. Whereas Tom Berenger is an arrogant asshole, in comparison.

Trust me, Sam Elliot is no Beta male. He may be a Democrat, but he is no soy boi. I spent two weeks around him when making the movie. He is a helluva horseman, knows firearms, and doesn’t suffer fools. He is no typical Hollywood actor. A year later, I saw him when he came to our big reenactment of the Battle of Brandy Station. He participated as Gen. Buford for free, signed autographs for several hours after the battle reenactment in the 103 degree heat. Surprisingly, he remembered my name and wanted to talk to me and said he saw me during the battle, “riding for the other side.” (I was the platoon leader for the lead platoon of the Confederate cavalry squadron.)
