A man was shot by deputies in a neighborhood near Magnolia early Thursday, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a call of a trespasser just before 1 a.m. at Oak Crossing just south of Magnolia Boulevard.

The 911 caller gave a detailed description of a man outside of his home and a possible second trespasser. He added that one of the men was armed with a long gun.

When deputies arrived, they were met by a man in his 60s who was armed, the sheriff’s office said. The man matched the description given by the 911 caller. He confronted deputies who ordered him to put the gun down multiple times, but he refused.

Details? The long gun must have given him away, and KHOU was there.

Man accused of pointing rifle at police officers shot, killed, Calhoun police say

Calhoun police said officers shot and killed a man after he pointed a rifle at them Thursday morning.

Calhoun Police Chief Tony Pyle said an officer was driving past Battlefield Building Supply on Highway 41 heading north when he noticed broken glass on the front of the building.

Authorities said the officer radioed for backup and entered the building, where he located a man inside the store holding a firearm.

When backup arrived, officers attempted to talk the suspect into surrendering. Pyle said the suspect continued to hold the rifle, pointing it at the officers.

Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption.

For some reason, the news today makes me hear Nena singing “Neunundneunzig Luftballons”….

Well, that’s two fewer dangers to society now.
Trouble is, they seem to be like mosquitoes – kill one and all their cousins come to the funeral for a feast.

Going OOT later today, y’all play nice on the WOT, y’hear?

Seems to be an uptick in “suicide by cop” of late. And idjits that won’t do as Officers Friendly ask. Have yet to read of someone becoming WRT/DRT that DID follow said requests.

If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the (s)election process has become corrupted. FIFY The assassination of Garfield was basically the beginning of what has become the Deep State with the start of what is now “Civil Service”.

We need varmit guns now more for 2 legged varmits v 4 legged ones. Jus’ sayin’.

When I saw Montgomery County, my ears perked up and I prepared to start making mailbox, Viking, and Thunderbird jokes and reading same. Unfortunately, this was Montgomery County, Texas. 🤣
