Shelby Co. Sheriff investigating after apparent burglar shot

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Cordova man fired a single shot at someone he said was trying to break into his home during the early morning hours on Saturday.UPDATE: Shelby County Sheriff announced via Twitter the identity of the victim, 25-year-old Joshua Prescott.
The alleged would-be burglar was shot dead. The man who fired the round told us he wasn’t alone inside the home as his 13-year-old son was there as well.
The man added he was simply a dad, defending his child.

I feel sorry for the dad. He has to live with the knowledge of having killed another human in defense of family, even though said “human” was most likely a dirtbag. I hope dad has sympathetic friends to talk to, and help him through his trials.
And speaking of trials, civil lawsuit coming up in 5….4….3….2….

“…simply a dad, defending his child.” Better judged by 12 than toted by 6. Dad of the year IMO. I thought that the removal of Bedford’s Statue and he and his wife’s graves would have made Memphis all better. Maybe they still mad over pancake mix, syrup, and rice?
Those 12 stories were all featured in our FGS last year. You need no more proof that the sleeze media is suppressing these type stories than the facts of 500K to 3M self defense actions happen every year, yet we struggle to find some to post. Cue up Pure Prairie League; “Amie, I’m in love with you…” I swear I’d hit that.

If these monsters don’t stop they should be hunted. And no, that wasn’t a misspeak.
I would not be surprised to see the results of that trial, if not here then as a stand-alone.
