Police: Dale City homeowner shoots intruder on front porch

Police were called to the 4300 block of Glendale Road about 9:55 p.m., where they found a 43-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate first aid until rescue workers arrived.

The investigation revealed the homeowner heard a loud noise at the front door, and then heard someone trying to open a living room window, Prince William County police Master Officer Renee Carr said.

At that point, the homeowner went outside and encountered a stranger on the porch. Shots were then fired by the homeowner and the man was struck, Carr said.

Don’t know about that glenwood Road shooting. Home owner should have called 911 and since he was armed waited in his house until the perp came in

I reserve judgement until I get more details.
Homeowner goes outside, finds someone trying to break in.
Did the perp then advance on him? Was he hopped up and/or aggressive, or just mouthing off? Did he have something in his hands which could be mistaken for or used for a weapon?

Too many details missing to make a call, IMHO.

Given that Prince William County was taken over by the Democrats for the first time in history, this guy will be in very bad trouble – or not – as determined by the skin color of the two involved instead of the circumstances on the front porch.
