I didn’t know someone could be “unconfirmed.” Jeff LPH 3 sends in this Army Times report;
Christine Wormuth nearly became the first woman in U.S. history to ascend to the Army’s top civilian post when the Senate confirmed her Wednesday evening — until the body reversed her confirmation just hours later in an unusual development.
CSPAN footage of the proceedings shows Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., announcing the reversal. Schumer’s staff did not immediately respond to a request for clarification from Army Times, and the senator deleted a previous tweet hailing Wormuth’s confirmation.
Wormuth’s confirmation was the only one reversed.
Wormuth had already acknowledged her confirmation online, saying she was “so honored to be confirmed as Secretary of the Army” in response to a friend’s tweet. Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston had also shared his congratulations with his new civilian boss as well.
Roll Call reporter Andrew Clevenger described the move as “more like a procedural hiccup than a threat to her historic confirmation” in a Wednesday evening tweet.
“Procedural hiccup?” What the hell is that? The Hill describes it thusly;
The Senate appeared to approve Wormuth’s nomination to be Army secretary Wednesday evening when Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) took to the floor and got unanimous consent to confirm Wormuth, as well as a batch of military nominations.
But a couple hours later, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) got unanimous consent to “vitiate” the earlier action on Wormuth, rescinding her confirmation.
I can’t really find what “vitiate” means as a rule of parliamentary procedure in the Senate. It might be related to the lack of a quorum. So “unanimous consent” when too few Senators are present to count as a vote. If that’s the case, it really changes the implication of what is “unanimous consent.”
If they lacked a quorum and voided the action because of it the other actions should have been undone as well.
Who knows what goes on at Sodom on the Potomac.

Some confusion on this. Later reports have that they have rescinded the rescinded appointment, and she was confirmed today. The things we do know for sure is she is a certified swamp dweller, having been slurping at the public trough since 1995, and is an oblowme admin re-tread. Imagine that.
My question is , if she ever gets confirmed will we see more Lesbian wedding recruitment cartoons?

An astute and pithy observation…
What would truly be historic and unprecedented is if they placed someone in a position of authority because they were qualified instead of they bring diversity to the job. Last time, and only time, that Hack Stone went through Basic Training, it was to remove individualism and have everyone work in unison for the common goal of surviving and winning in combat.
