LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was shot and killed on a Las Vegas freeway after charging a vehicle with a knife, according to Metro police.Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting that stemmed from a road rage incident on westbound 215 Southern Beltway between Jones and Rainbow boulevards.
When officers arrived they found a person lying in the road suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and the shooter was still at the scene.
Police said there was a minor crash where the shooter rear-ended a vehicle on the 215. The shooter then got out of his vehicle to render aid to the other driver when the other driver got out of his vehicle with a knife.
He chased him with a knife around his vehicle several times before the shooter was able to get back inside his vehicle where he grabbed his gun. The knife-wielding man then began to stab his car and the tires, police said.
The driver with the gun then got out of his vehicle and told the man with a knife to go away. The knife-wielding man then lunged at the other driver, causing him to fire his gun, hitting the knife-wielding man, according to police.

That Ruger is one of my “I Want!” items.
I’ve been to Muscogee, OK but not sure about Georgia’s counterpart county. May not want to go, it seems.
LA – a seriously cesspool pit.
Yeah, a want…but my concern for a “varmint rifle” would be for 2 legged varmint, v a 4 legged one. “….300 Winchester Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum.” Be still my beating heart.
Nope, you don’t want to go to Columbus, GA, Graybeard. Sadly, like all of the other metro areas it has become a very deep and wide cesspool of failed, corrupt politicians, and a certain demographic whose business is to prey on any target of opportunity. Did business there for a number of years but would always get a good ways out of town before dark and pick a layover spot for the next day’s business calls. Certain areas you don’t want to go into at any time of day, even with a re-enforced rifle platoon…with heavy weapons…as an escort.
A twofer DRT means two less parasites…stealing oxygen.
I’m liking the 308 Win version, personally. Easier on my pocketbook to feed and care for. And for my AO plenty long range enough.
But is Victory Drive still, uh, ‘interesting’?
Kinda, but not as many as there used to be. Spread to Armor Rd and Buena Vista Rd, according Giggle Foo. Been a loooooong minute since I’ve been to Columbus and no plans to go back. All the the downtown area, even with the “gentrification” is sketchy as all hell. Plenty of crime stories on a daily basis but very little true FGS published. I check the local Bing feed there…everyday…as I do Houston, Memphis, St Louis, Chitcongo, PhilthyHellFia, Pittyfulburg, Naw’Lins, B’Ham, ATL, Jax, ….
