African American uses life-like mask to commit home burglaries disguised as Caucasian

Rockim Prowell thought that he had a good plan. He committed a series of burglaries in affluent homes while disguised as a White man. He donned a mask that had hair to help him look authentic in surveillance videos. However, it was unusual to see a man with his mouth constantly open while in action. Although he planned his disguise, he did not plan to cover his tracks. In fact his failure to mitigate the chances he would be incriminated helped law enforcement to “unmask” his identity.

In both burglaries, Prowell stole flat-screen televisions, police said. In the security footage, they noticed the suspect always kept his mouth open, which they realized was the case when they discovered he was wearing a mask, police said.
Prowell, 30, a resident of nearby Inglewood, was arrested May 2 during a traffic stop by Beverly Hills police officers. In the car, officers found a face mask and other items that connected him to the burglaries, authorities said. The license plates on the car were also stolen, they said.
During a search of his home, police found stolen items connecting him to additional burglaries, police said.

If I understand our current thinking on this sort of thing, if he thought he was white when he did it, he WAS ACTUALLY A WHITE GUY, correct? And if everything I hear in the news is correct, there should be no punishment because, you know, he was white and stuff. Only black folks get put in prison, AOC tells us all.

The cops got this wrong, and should dismiss the burglary charges and allow him to keep the property he acquired.
Mr. Prowell merely identifies as a “white person”, in order to exercise his “white privilege”, where everybody knows things are considered “free”. (See the Eddie Murphy references above).
