Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg tried to burnish his “green” credentials Thursday by biking to a Cabinet meeting — after unloading it from an SUV near his intended destination.
CNN reporter DJ Judd, WFMZ-TV and social media users all posted the viral clip of Mr. Buttigieg‘s security team unloading the bike prior to a White House meeting.
“Caught in the act,” conservative author/filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza responded to the apparent “green” theater.
The film comes in the wake of the Democrat’s support for a “mileage tax” on drivers as a means of paying a $3 trillion infrastructure plan.
This Kabuki theater includes two armored SUVs following right behind him as he pedals his ass around DC, for another serving of “Rules for thee but not for me.”

Yes, the slings are now designed to carry the M-4 in that fashion. Back in my day in Vietnam I carried my CAR-15 (XM-177) in my left hand with my thumb through the carry handle that housed the rear sight. I never used a sling in the field. They were too noisy.
Yes, it’s fashionable now. Keep the thing slung barrel down in front of you. (Forget doing a 3- 5 sec rush without stubbing the barrel into the ground or operating like anything but a SWAT team on Miami Vice, but… ) Looks cool walking to and from the PX and Pizza Hut on Bagram.
Not defending But, but without knowing the province of the photo it is hard to comment on it accurately. It looks a lot like those posed photos with an M16 that were so popular to send home to the family or gf during Vietnam. When I was in HS one of my friends had a photo of his dad that was virtually identical to one I had of my father in a similar pose.
So far as leaving the wire without body armor on one tour our team lived outside the wire and we didn’t wear body armor 24/7 obviously. I know that 90% of troopies lived on a FOB in Iraq/ Afghanistan but there were plenty of exceptions.
So thrilled those days are behind me.
