The entire stew of those prewar German politics is spilling over into our political system and the so-called Antifas and all those others are the Nazis of today. Rabid socialists, every one of them, and rabid racists, no matter what they say otherwise.
If that seems like fascism, well, yeah, it does to me, too. But they will insist that: no, they are not fascisti: a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
Different set-up altogether? There are many hints of racism creeping into it from the leftie side of the fence, no matter what they say to the contrary. And if you are labeled “racist” based on your skin color alone, you are being gaslighted.

It’s a good idea to read the entire article start to finish. Having run into someone a good while back ago whose insistence that everything he said was “gospel” when in fact, it was full of errors, and who nearly popped a blood vessel by snarling “It is if I SAY IT IS!” when he was corrected by anyone and refused to acknowledge that he was ever wrong, it is interesting to see this crap going on now.
In regard to the current crop of nitwits who have seized on gaslighting the opposition so that they can wallow in their own ignorance of reality, when reality does strike home it will be painful for them.
If you disagree with anything they say, no matter how twisted their reality is, you are just a horrible person and you will be gaslighted. They don’t want reality. They want everything their way – the hallmark of the spoiled brat. They are spoiling for fights. Seldom has so much angst and bitterness over nothing been at such a high level in such a bunch of children.
Just smile and nod, and get out of their way.

I’m no scholar, but, I’m gonna say that things in the U.S. are different from 1939 Germany.
Bottom line, I don’t see the U.S. embracing some kind of symbol and some kind of salute and then invading Canada and the picking out some particular segment of the population(s) for extermination.

I pulled out a competition-grade pellet pistol out of the box the other day. I’d found (finally!) my stash of .177 pellets from my brother. Set up a target in the back yard and proceeded to prove to myself that my pistol form has gone to hades in a handbasket due to me not burning enough powder.
Gonna have to do some exercises and practice to recover that which has degraded.

When I was comp shooting with our pistol team, I loaded up a glass soda pop bottle with beach sand and wrapped masking tape all around the bottle so if dropped, the product and glass wouldn’t go all over the truck while we were moving. I just held out the bottle while the driver was driving and when I got fatigued, I rested and then repeated the movement. This was great to steady the arm when shooting Police EL matches slow, timed and rapid fire. Got this from an article about how an Air Force comp shooter got to be a champion comp shooter. Worked great for me at our inter Armoured Car matches coming in 1st place a number of times at the west 20th street range in Manhatten, nyc. This was back in the 1970’s.

It always gets me when supposedly smart people refer to Republicans as Nazis. Apparently ‘they’ don’t know the meaning of the phrase.
I had a discussion with a high school aged grandson about this and asked him to look up the word. Then asked if Republications met that definition. His answer was ‘No’. That led to a longer conversation on history etc.
