I do not know or understand what the hell is wrong with some people, but this story will raise your blood pressure substantially. Just warning you.

BOSTON (AP) — Two former administrators of a Massachusetts veterans home where nearly 80 people sickened by the coronavirus died have been charged over their handling of the outbreak, the state attorney general said Friday.

It’s believed to be the first criminal case in the country brought against nursing home officials for actions during the pandemic, Attorney General Maura Healey said.

Former Holyoke Soldiers’ Home Superintendent Bennett Walsh and former Medical Director Dr. David Clinton were indicted by a grand jury on charges stemming from their decision in March to combine two dementia units, packing residents who were positive for the coronavirus into the same space as those with no symptoms, Healey said.

The veterans “risked their lives from the beaches of Normandy, to some the jungles of Vietnam, and to know that they died under the most horrific circumstances is truly shocking,” Healey told reporters.

A phone message was left Friday with a lawyer for Walsh. An email was sent to attorneys for Clinton. They could each face prison time if convicted of causing or permitting serious bodily injury or neglect of an elder, Healey said.

Relatives of veterans who died at the home said they hope “justice will prevail.” – article

The full story is here:

These veterans were shuffled into a dementia ward that held patients who were not only losing their mental faculties, but also were ill with COVID-19.

From the article:  Healey said Walsh and Clinton were the ones ultimately responsible for the decision to combine the two units, which she said led to “tragic and deadly results.” More than 40 veterans were packed into a single unit that usually had 25 beds, and space was so limited that nine veterans — some with symptoms and some without — were sleeping in the dining room, Healey said.

“This never should have happened. It never should have happened from an infection controls standpoint,” Healey said. – article

My opinion of this action is unprintable. I will only say that this amounts to a form of mass murder, for no known reason. Just my view.

Boy I’m mad now! And I was having a pretty good day so far, blood pressure wise. Had seen a blurb on this the other night but the linky wouldn’t open and got rather busy yesterday to follow up. Thanks for digging it out and posting Mi’Lady…I think.

I am ashamed that I can’t remember which one of our members lost family here. Maybe this crap is one reason the riots were given so much press; it was a way to help cover up or change the headlines for this most criminal of behavior. The article was very vague on what the Azzhole mofos that made the decisions were charged with, but IMO, they should be charged with murder. At the very least, voluntary manslaughter. Notice too, that there are other states being investigated for the same sh^tbaggery. Absolutely no excuse.

“…can only be fired by the Board of Directors.” I’d like to fire these SOBs…with a Bangalore up their azzes. Or maybe a 105…flechette/beehive round…charge 10..after the tube is properly seated…no lube was used in the “seating” of this tube. Grrrrrrrr

I’ll give these Kudos to our Guv. He activated the NG Troops immediately and the FIRST place he sent them was to the nursing homes. My man here that is an owner/partner of the local hardware store is GANG, Engineer Company (HT to The Stranger). They just now have been relieved from that duty cause they’re being deployed somewhere on a “hill over yonder.”

    Son.Of.A.Bitch! ESAD!

The lunacy of it is more disturbing than anything else. In my view, it is mass murder and both of those slimeballs should be charged for it, but likely won’t be.

There is no excuse for it, particularly since the ward was overcrowded, which intensifies the probability of a high infection rate.

It needs massive bad publicity everywhere, so please spread the word, 5th/77th!

This hits very close to home here at TAH.

They tossed the Sec. Of Veterans’ Affairs under the bus for this, however the administrator was a hack hire. I mean connected donor to King Charles I despot of the PDRMA. This whole thing is a disgrace, they tried firing the admin and lost in court, his highness lacked authority to fire him so we’re on the hook for more salary and legal fees because the hacks running this penny ante excuse for a state government couldn’t even get a simple termination done right. Personally I wouldn’t put any politically connected person in charge of anything, including cleaning up the poop after the elephants in a circus parade – not if you want it done right.

    • JacktheJarhead says:

Doc, It is the Democratic People Socialist Republic of Massachusetts! The slimy bastard put all the dementia patients together to get rid of them. My dad had that and it is very expensive for the care, I know! So, he figured, I am politically connected, they can’t do shit to me. Kill two birds with one virus. Never thought he would have to pay, doubt he will. He is a hack, the rest will help him out.

Just shoot these sons of bitches.

  5. Bim says:

With managers that don’t give a shit what happens to veterans and the subsequent unnecessary deaths, of course there had to be a Clinton in charge.

  6. Hondo says:

I wonder if/how this will affect the ongoing Federal civil rights investigation regarding 5 states where state policy required nursing homes and other elder-care facilities to accept those who tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus?

  7. 26Limabeans says:

Walsh was appointed by Gov Charlie Baker for a generous campaign contribution.
It’s the Massachusetts “hackarama” that Howie Carr has been pointing to for decades.
I grew up with it in the 50’s 60’s ….
Has the fake indian weighed in yet? Of course not. Baker is a Democrat in Republican clothing.

Democrats were just following orders, jawohl, you know!

Wanna impress me? Jail the cocksucking governors and bureaucrats across this country that forced nursing homes to take in COVID patients.

  10. BruteLarson407 says:

HMCS(FMF)ret; That would impress me too! Fuckin’ attorneys practicing medicine? I’d also like to see some Boards of Medicine, Boards of Nursing, and ESPECIALLY some Boards of Pharmacy razed of their current members, preferably with suspended or revoked professional licenses. In large part, THEY are the cocksuckers driving this shit. They have physicians in multiple states afraid to Rx safe drugs off label that appear to be effective with this Chicom Plague IF used early, aggressively, and in proper doses with proper synergistic meds. All ok though when it comes to blasting prepubescents with cross hormones or androgen blockers so they can decide if they were “assigned” the wrong sex. (spit)(cuss)(spit).

  11. STSC(SW/SS) says:

I think the term “kill them all and let God sort them out” applies here but I don’t think God is going to be nice to them.

Enjoy your power on earth because you won’t have any where you’re going.

Super glue their nuts to a vice.

Give them a dull rusty saw blade.

    Set the room on fire.

Tell them “Good luck” and lock the door
