Boomer’s Sunday

| September 20, 2020

It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I cull through his weekly offering of ‘toons, and pick the best. Honorable Mention goes to my pals Chuck, Gerhart, Woke Infidel, AW1 Scott, AW1 Rod, and our own Cameron, Skippy, HMCS(FMF) ret, Poetrooper, Mason, Jeff LPH 3 63-66, thebesig, Keepin’ It Real, and Ex, who also have provided some entertainment. These are mostly from the right, with humor scattered around. I am more than willing to post up differing points of view if they don’t annoy me. Now what could be fairer than that? So here we are, with the ‘toons that may amuse, make you think, or just piss you off.

Another fine start to a week.

  2. Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman says:

    “This Is Spinal Tape”
    ROFLOLMFAO!
I wish that were a real product.
There is a politician in my state I’d send a roll to, with instructions.

    • Ex Coelis says:

Ditto(national exception: first roll would have to go to our Prime Minister Justin ‘Moistly’ Trudeau and then to all Members of Parliament and the remainder issued to MPP’s, subsequent underlings, etc and of course in keeping with our much revered Bill 101, all included instructions would be have to be bilingual). These days, backbone is in very short supply up on Parliament Hill😔

  3. Retired Grunt says:

Holy hell!!!! This week was hilarious, gotta refill my coffee.

  4. 5th/77th FA says:

    Giggle, snort, and guffaaaaaaw! Bwahahahahahaaha

And no, I don’t suffer from mental defect…I seem to enjoy it…almost as much as the skeet shooting with prizes game.

    Tanks Mates!

  5. USAFRetired says:

In the skeet shooting with prizes game are they considered migratory waterfowl so that steel shot is required? Or can regular shot be used?

Is a special stamp required for my hunting license?

If using my 20 gauges am I right to think I should use a full choke?

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Full choke is a proper “riot” choke. You may need to engage at 50+ meters if some klown is shooting at you or sending pyro at your domicile, so a tight pattern is essential.

If it is a good modern gun, you can fire a few foster-type slugs if needed without wrecking the choke.

Pattern your shotgun, folks, with the ammo you will use. Knowing your “way out there” pattern is -essential-.

If everyone is properly socially distancing, does it matter???

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

So what’s next with Drone Delivery, will they be expecting a monetary tip for the Dispatcher?

  6. Roh-Dog says:

    I’m gonna make it.
FYI, beer on cereal, whiskey in coffee.
Rookie move trying to take 3rd, no shortcuts in day drinking.

  7. Herbert J Messkit says:

Seems a little short for being this close to election C’mon Man as Biden says

  8. Skippy says:

    Great ones today

    It’s Sunday !!!!!

  9. Hack Stone says:

For the record, Hunter Biden did not marry his brother’s widow, he was only banging her.

    • rgr769 says:

Yes, I caught that as well. He married some other woman. He has a good excuse for why he knocked up that stripper: He was high on blow.

Daddy made him settle with the stripper on child support when her lawers were about to get his financial records, as Gropey Joe didn’t want them disclosed.

  10. Skippy says:

I’ve ask my wife to please make sure
I don’t vote Biden if something bad should
Happen to me.. it’s also in my will

There are some admins here that know I like to check out quotes that are given to find the source and context of the quote.

For the record, the quote “no amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot,” while true, was never said by Twain. A spokesperson for the “Mark Twain House & Museum” and a consultant for the “Center for Mark Twain Studies,” both say that the quote from any of Twain’s “known works, letters, or speeches”

That’s not to say it is not a great quote and not to say that these collections are not great, but only that we hate seeing people use what they think is a true attributable statement to someone in a debate / discussion.

    • rgr769 says:

I was taught by a law professor that you can never persuade a zealot.

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

True, and Major Moonbat proves that every time he comes here to regurgitate his cult propaganda!

    • AW1Ed says:

      Dammit! Burned again. Thanks, gitarcarver.

      • gitarcarver says:

        AW1Ed,

It’s a great quote and in your shoes, I would have posted it as well.

Like I said, when I see something like that, I want to know the context of the quote because I don’t want to use it in my world if I don’t understand where it came from.

It really does sound like something Twain would say or perhaps even Will Rogers, but….well…you know.

        Have a great week.

        • AW1Ed says:

In my defense, I’m much more cautious about the quotes I post on the FGS than I was. That’s mine. I can’t claim credit for the ‘toons; they each get about a 5 second look ‘post-or-shitcan’ and I’m on to the next one. Easy for one to slip by, Like the Hunter Biden ‘toon- Rgr769’s comment was hilarious, though.
Y’all see about 1/3 of what I cull through, on a good week. The failures either offend me (yes, it is possible) fail the sniff test, or simply aren’t funny.
I do appreciate the feedback, and yes, the post is a bit light today. So it goes. I don’t look for numbers, but content. Keep you comments coming, and if you feel you can step up and have your name in the header, contact me.

Brilliant start to a pending brilliant week. Cheers and thanks for one of best Sunday Funnies yet…
