Sweet!!!
Way to go, way to be T1B! You da man this weekend.
Well this is different. Congrats.
Wait! What? T1B takes this?
Isn’t thie T1B’s first FIRST?
Yes.
Yes.
Congrats T1B. Amazing what can happen when you just wander thru the kitchen and see the Crown just a’laying there orphaned, needing a home.
Lord over and enjoy your FIRSTness. I do believe that the ACE 5 in a row FIRST title, that belongs exclusively to the King of Battle, will be safe for a little bit.
Trip to the Big City was semi fair, some disappointment with the dinner (noon meal/lunch for my Northern Compatriots) The old school home town cafe that’s been around since 1936 has been bought out (last year) by some Korporate Klowne Kritter from Kommiefornia. They’ve made some recipe changes, I guess, thinking some of us old timers might not notice. They were wrong! ‘Specially when you use won ton soup type dumplin’s in the chicken and dumplin’s dish. Did get to see my all time favorite 4 Ms Thang DROs and slipped each one a Fiver, just cause they were looking so fine. Bless their hearts, their schedules have been cut way back since the ChineseCommunist Virus Infecting Disease came along. The whole place was shut down for 2 months, then the take out opened, and the dinning room just opened up a coupla weeks back.
Let me go play catch – up on what I’ve missed today. Hugs and Kisses! (for the ‘weedettes)

I thought Marilyn was under Kennedy… or possibly Kennedys…
Why do one when you can do them all
BHWHAHAHAHAw !!!!!!!
I heard the govt is releasing all the UFO data from the agency that has been investigating UFO’S. How come the govt all of a sudden says their is something going on and no mention of actual sightings going back to the log book of Chris Columbus to fleet sightings on board ships and actual sightings during the Viet-Nam war and well aware of by the Brass.
The left can meme just fine, Anyone can make a meme. And both sides have idiots who make stupid memes,
The difference is the right only has memes at this point. So meme sharing is the primary medium of political discourse on the right.
Dumb thoughts using pictures. That is the primary way the right communicates their political ideas.
They avoid discussing policy and there is nothing remotely consistent or coherent about their principles or ideological beliefs.
All they can do is meme.
They have nothing else.
The Republican Party fundamentally supports concentrating power in the hands of the few. As much power as possible.
That is what it stands for now. And that has historically, been what the right wing and conservatives have always stood for.
They can’t argue that as policy. And they can’t justify it on its merits. So they Frankenstein monstered a bunch of incoherent and inconsistent ideological justifications for their goals. And for decades argued these ideological justification as an excuse for their efforts to concentrate power.
Trump came along and discarded the ideological arguments. He says the quite part out loud.
He openly and explicitly supports authoritarian ideals.
And the sycophantic right loves him for it.
A liberal meme consists of a photo of Trump
with a Hitler mustache. That’s about it.
“Citation needed.”
MEME war veteran
KEKs 82 legion
Oh look! Another meme of a Marxist vowel movement….
How original.
“The Republican Party fundamentally supports concentrating power in the hands of the few. As much power as possible.”
You seem to have forgotten the 2016 election where the Mainstream Media in tandem with the elite of the Democrat Party decided that Hillary Clinton would be the nominee and the President, regardless of how the primaries turned out. If people are upset that Donald Trump is President, don’t blame Trump or the Republicans, blame the Democrats for fielding Hillary Clinton.
Tell me, does Biden still have that, “I’M WITH JOE!” generator up on his website?
Asking for a friend.
And there you have it folks! Another episode of “Marxist Mental Masturbation”, by Commissar!
Ah, denial– plus Orange Man Bad (repeat as necessary)!
Is someone upset their side can’t meme? They also can’t accomplish their goals at the polls so have to subvert the Constitution through activist courts. Oh, and when they don’t get what they want, they riot, burn, loot, and destroy, throwing an adult version of a toddler’s hissy fit.
That anyone in the Democratic party thinks that they are anything remotely like the party of Kennedy they’re fucking delusional.
So you have a PhD in meme analysis?
What a fucking douchebag.
Lars… The Queen of Double Spaces in posts.
As usual, your entire post is a collection of delusional ramblings, not one of which has a basis in fact..
“The Republican Party fundamentally supports concentrating power in the hands of the few. As much power as possible.” Is probably the easiest to prove false as the link below shows, only 15 out of the top 50 longest serving members of congress are Republican. Since you’ve shown yourself to not be good with math, that means 35, or more than twice as many have been dems. That seems to be a pretty strong preoccupation with “concentrating power”..
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_members_of_the_United_States_Congress_by_longevity_of_service
Once again, you show that projection is one of your superpowers.
Please, take your meds.
Still looking for that “Ignore” button, Admin. (grin)
Noted.
*YAWN*, is that the best propaganda/ liberal mental masturbation you can come up with? Go eat a bucket of two day old gas station sushi!
“The left can meme just fine”. Your first sentence is just so much BS. At least it saves folks from having to read anything else in your post.
Present and unaccountable.
Lost a good friend to brain cancer yesterday – glad I don’t have any booze in the house right now. He was only 6.5 months older than I.
On the upside, Eldest Granddaughter celebrated her HS graduation and her youngest brother had his 7th birthday this past week.
Life is good, but goes by too fast.
Y’all hug your families.
Condolences and congrats GB
Sorry to hear about you losing your friend, Graybeard.
It never gets easier, although truth be told, I wouldn’t want it to be.
My Dad always told me to enjoy each day even though it can be testing at times and to appreciate good family & friends every day that you breathe.
I also keep an eye to the future.
Prayers to you and your friend, Graybeard.
Thanks, y’all.
He leaves a huge hole in a lot of lives.
The funeral will be in the biggest church facility in town. I don’t know if there will be room.
I’m with you, Sky. I don’t want it easier. The grief means that we have loved.
Condolences, GB. And y’all are very right – don’t want it to get easier.
Here’s a photo of Dr Fauci, practicing what he preaches. Oops, actually, here’s a photo of the hypocrite, Fauci not wearing a mask or social distancing.

Not to mention that MLB has gone BLM-worshipping without an argument.
Stand for our nation’s flag. Kneel to God, not Leftists.
Surgeon General has been saying for weeks now that there’s no justification for universal mask wearing.
Took my kid to the doc this morning (ear infection). The nurse walked in wearing about the same level of PPE that I did in service for operating in a radiological environment. This may have gotten a tad out of hand.
I thought the whole point was to flatten the curve anyway, not destroy it. Now they’ve shifted the goal posts to their go-to “If it only saves one life” line to make anyone who doesn’t agree with them out to be murdering monsters.
Masking is Fear and Misery signaling.
You must be made to be miserable, so you reject the government and accept the opposition. Some mean voting, some mean submitting to Marxist madness.
Either way, the covidiocy mask mandate is anti-freedom, anti-reason, and ultimately anti-life.
What’s much worse is his opening pitch:

Update on the new Pennsylvania T1 Duplex: smokebox is complete and has been attached to the boiler, the belpaire firebox has also been finished, they are now working out how to cast the frame which they plan to build in small sections then put them together. Cab, prow, two of the eight driving wheels, keystone number board, plus the tender (which was purchased and is the only surviving Pennsylvania long haul tender which the Duplex would have used). And all of this has been done thanks to the aid of computer aided design or CAD.

Wikipedia page on the locomotive. There is a Wikipedia page on the group as well.

Models of the giant railroad guns would be right up your alley. A Heavy Gustav would be a cool model. Bonus points if you make it a working cannon.

There’s a guy on Pinterest who did a 1/35 scene of Big G in operation. As far as I can tell, he scratchbuilt the whole thing, as I’ve never seen such a kit on the market. He also included dozens of crew figures.
Here ya go:

Finally, after many late nights, elevated blood pressure, much stress, more frustration, and copious profanity, the Red Dawn dio scene is finally more or less finished.

On to new projects. Further stress, frustration, and profanity will ensue.
I love your attention to detail, TOW.
Got any choice Cambodian” swear words you can share or teach us? (smile)
Outstanding TOW. Had to click on the “see more” button to get the whole picture sequence right. May take awhile for you to get started on a new project, what with the new baby settling down and that hot wife of yours getting frisky. Remember, this is not about you, you appreciative admirers will be looking for more.
Stay safe Brother, saw a blurb on the news where it was talking about the fires starting back up out there. Too bad that rain hitting SE Texas or the clouds moving out the Pacific can’t come thru and wet things down for y’all.
I recently started a new assignment at one of our local-government-contract stations that drastically reduces my chances of getting shipped off to the ass end of the state, so I’m mostly just watching the news and musing “Looks like it sucks over there!”
On the other hand, we’re starting to get some IA fire activity, and the weather recently cooled off from Africa-hot to merely too-goddamn-hot, but they’re warning of another upcoming heatwave. And then there’s still medical aids, T/Cs, and the like. Plus the border fence is about a ten-minute walk from the apparatus bay. And we’re at the very distant end of the supply chain, so keeping the place equipped is “fun.”
I’m spelling it phonetically, but “N’yam ike!” means “Eat shit!” I’m learning to understand some Khmer, but I’ll never attempt to speak it myself. My wife speaks it with a heavy American accent, but it seems my accent when I try is so bad that it works as comedy. Think “Rush Hour 2:”
Chris Tucker: “What’s their problem? I just invited those girls to have dinner with us!”
Jackie Chan: “You invited them to get naked and sacrifice a small goat.”
You have some really good stuff there TOW.
YOu’re supposed to do modeling like that to RELAX my friend, not get more wired on stressed !!!
It’s a labor of love, like model railroading, music and any of the myriad of other pastimes that we find ourselves doing to pass the time.
Good stuff my friend, really good stuff !!!
Love the F-100 Super Sabre, they had quite the history in Vietnam.
Coon cheese’s name to be changed over racism concerns

Coon cheese’s name will be changed after a campaign by activists who said it had racist connotations.
Key points:
The activist behind the drive for change had asked several previous owners to discontinue the name
He does not believe the name is derived from a cheese patent holder, but has always been a racist joke
Recent events like the Black Lives Matter protests had helped give momentum to the push for a new name
Coon’s owners, dairy products company Saputo, confirmed the change Friday after being written a letter of complaint in June by activist Stephen Hagan, who has been fighting for 20 years to have the name changed.
“I said that the cheese brand was offensive, I said that it demeans people of colour,” Dr Hagan told the ABC on Friday.
“I said that it was unacceptable as a brand in 2020.”
Following a review, Saputo agreed.
“One of our basic principles as an organisation is to treat people with respect and without discrimination and we will not condone behaviour that goes against this,” the Canadian company said in a statement.
“We wanted to ensure we listened to all the concerns surrounding the COON brand name, while also considering comments from consumers who cherish the brand and recognise the origin of its founder Edward William Coon, which they feel connected to.
“After thorough consideration, Saputo has decided to retire the COON brand name.”
Saputo is the third owner of the brand Dr Hagan had asked to change the name, during his 21-year fight.
It was the first to listen to him.
“If I didn’t make a stand, we would still be eating Coon cheese in another 20 years’ time,” he said.
Woe to anyone who’s named Schitz, Gook, Turd, Gay, Dick or Focker (or their company) apparently…
You left out Dink.
Dang it… and I was trying to be inclusive.
One of my grandmothers’ maiden name was Gay.
Folks that make fun of that could be in for an attitude correction.
Then there was the most famous Gay in history…..
Enola Gay, Col Paul Tibbets name his plane the Enola Gay because he knew that nobody else had the same name as his Mother’s Maiden Name.
Oddly enough, August 6’Th is the anniversary of the dropping of Little Boy on Hiroshima which totally laid the city to waste and killed about 80,000 people instantly with more dying in the next few weeks and months of radiation poisoning.
The Enola Gay.
Love to see the queers go after her !!!!!
Here’s the rundown on her from a highly reputable source and not a bunch of longhairs that lurk on shady websites and post information that they consider important.
Interestingly, I went to the Museum of the War In The Pacific in Fredericksburg
Texas, home of Admiral Chester W Nimitz, has a huge collection of Pacific WWII memorabilia that includes exact copies of Fat Man and Little Boy.

Not to mention Stephen Coonts and Dean Koontz, authors.
Yeah, we’ve got a coffee house chain called Biggby’s. They were woke before woke was cool. Back in 2007 they changed from Beaner’s to Biggby’s, cuz they didn’t want to offend anyone.
Am surprised that some proggy soi boi from berzerkley hasn’t yet launched a campaign to force the African country of Niger to change its name…
Worse, Ahnold (of body building and action movie fame) has an unfortunate last name. Although ancestrally from the town of Schwarzeneg, his last name (as verbally pronounced) is accidentally both literally redundant and racist. (German doesn’t have a polite word “person of African decent” so it’s had to barrow “Das Negro” from English since about 1835.) Germans know his last name actually just means “person from Schwarzeneg” but let the modern PC crowd loose on it…
This just in……The horrors!!!

All in fun my winged brother. (smile)

Don’t you need you burn some C4 to warm up dinner or something? After you dig your your dining hole, of course.
I will never get used to this odd start time for the WOT. That being said, I never get to be first anyway, so I’ll just drop the trivia here and be on my way … DID YOU KNOW…? Was one of the most popular American breakfast cereals invented by accident? By Commissioner Wretched This week is a special one for me, as a long-time fan of the space program. It was during this week, 51 years ago, that man first landed on the Moon. As I’ve said in numerous instances, it’s a crying shame that people haven’t been back there since the Apollo space program ended in 1972. I know we brought back tons of Moon rocks, and dust, and more science than you can shake a stick at, but … people should still want to explore, to venture out, to “boldly go where no man has gone before,” to borrow a phrase. I like how we send robots out to explore the farthest reaches of the Solar System, but still … we should have a base on the Moon and be exploring Mars in person today. Oh, well … nothing ventured, nothing gained, or something like that. Let’s gain some trivia! Did you know … … it’s illegal to raise alligators in your home in Corpus Christi, Texas? (It’s also pretty darned stupid.) … it’s against the law in Columbus, Georgia, to carve your initials into a tree? That applies even if the tree is on land that you own. (You can carve anything else, I guess, just not your initials.) … there are more Starbucks Coffee shops in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport than there are in the entire state of South Dakota? (I’m not all that sure what this fact is trying to say … are there more people who need overpriced coffee at O’Hare Airport or more sane people in South Dakota?) … the first recorded sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was in 565 AD? (Now whether the sighting of Nessie most recently was the same monster, I’ll leave to you to decide.) … Italian… Read more »
Once again, greetings from the coastal Deep South. Spent the week examining various regions and locales in coastal LA, MS, and AL to settle down in once I retire and we move down south from the blue shithole we are currently forced to reside in. Home hunting the past few days hindered by heavy rain from a tropical depression that apparently will soon make landfall in Texas…
Regarding the current MSM polling showing POTUS ten points behind Joey brainbleed, best advice is to take that with a deep deep grain of salt. A survey by the respected YouGov polling firm indicates that 62 percent of Americans are afraid to voice their personal political opinions because of the Orwellian woke cancel cult. Current MSM polling results are not worth the paper they’re printed on. Keep your chins up and keep fighting…
CH, the key info to take away from this poll is that the 62% has to be made up of conservatives and Trump supporters because the other side has nothing to fear from revealing their intentions to vote against Trump.
Our side does not retaliate against theirs for merely voicing their opinions. Only one side does that…
Commies gonna commie.
I don’t know anyone that has ever gotten polled in the past four or five Presidential elections.
I used to get a couple polls calling when I had a landline. But now, I not only don’t get any, I don’t know anyone that does, except larsie-boi of course, I would bet that he gets calls all the time.
The makeup of the polls is 24% GOP/confirmed conservative, the rest are d-rats and so called independents on the polling place speed dial lists.
It’s all bullshit…
What matters is the interest generated.
Trump voters will crawl through minefields, busted glass, concertina wire and an aquarium full of Great White Sharks and Crocodiles to vote for Trump.
Biden voters won’t even click to see him in his manjammy one piece basement suit…
“Trump voters will crawl through minefields, busted glass, concertina wire and an aquarium full of Great White Sharks and Crocodiles to vote for Trump.”… I sure hope you’re right TS, cause they damn sure need to this time around, because the fraud against the President and anyone with an (R) after their name is going to be EPIC! Only one hell of a turnout for President Trump and all those down ballot will be able to overcome it.
As has been shown the last few months, the left is pulling out all the stops this time around, and will stop at nothing to entrench the revolution. If the dems succeed, this may well be the LAST true election we have.
I know I’m gonna be voting for Trump come Hell or high water. Democrats can suck my butt.
I’m a little late to the party on this, but in the vein of the election I have to relate what I saw this am on the news (not CNN ). “Peaceful” protesters that are attacking the federal building there had metal shields. One had their’s painted like a Soviet Flag. Come on November 3rd.
At the rate things are going (“peaceful protesters” now have firearms) there will be firefights by Nov 3rd.
Nobody voted for Nixon in ’72 either and won. Go figure.
Hack Stone is just gad that the citizens of New York had the intelligence to elect Mayor Bill Del Blasio. Since he took office and emptied the jail cells, the city has never been safer.

Ol’ Poe may be mistaken but those melanin-challenged individuals getting whooped up on look Hispanic to him, so this is surely nothing more than another demonstration of solidarity between two Democrat constituencies.
Right?
You’re not wrong, which is just one more example that NONE of this is about a lifelong criminal druggie being killed by an asshole cop.

That is sow true, CH, but sow many melanin-rich individuals seem to have a rather sow-sow attitude about that.

What ol’ slow-talkin’ Sam oughta be sayin’ is:
“Under Kennedy, we went to Vietnam…”
But of course the libs are never gonna bring that up, now are they?
Kennedy had Diem installed in Saigon, then green lit his assassination. And that whole adventure just worked out soooooooooo very brilliantly for all concerned, didn’t it?
I was a junior in high school when Bush 43 got elected. One of the math teachers was all pissy over it, claiming “Republicans just start wars!” Being a history nerd (and the disruptive kid in the back row), I asked him which presidents had gotten us into WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He really didn’t like it when I reminded him that Woodrow Wilson ran his 1916 re-election campaign on a promise to keep us out of the Great War, a promise which didn’t even last a month past the fucker’s second inauguration. I concluded with “So what’s that you were saying about starting wars?”
In a most Larsist fashion, he insisted that I didn’t know what I was talking about. I challenged him to bust out some history books and prove me wrong. He instead threatened to kick my ass. He finally cut his losses when I said he was welcome to try.
Hello. Long time lurker, first time poster here. REALLY enjoy the site!! Please keep up the great work.
Edited to protect your PII. Chuck, please hit the Valor Vultures tab and scroll to my PSA to see why.
AW1
IMHO,
I see it here. Again. Today.
I am a registered Republican, who is right/center,
and votes for almost all Republicans on my local ballot.
(Not that this self disclosure should matter.)
However,
it seems to me, that the more this site chooses to push
party politics (one way or the other),
it risks the real possibility that
OUTED Stolen Valor phonies,
and their phony friends, enablers, and defenders,
have an avenue to dismiss or minimize
the truth about their favorite outed phony.
I predict this….
“Oh, that website of outsiders made a mistake.
They must be wrong, because look at all the other stuff
they are wrong about.”
How can I predict this?
Because I have already seen this, on the Book of Fake.
I see it coming.
And I would hate to see this site,
known for many years of solid reporting on an ant hill
of less than solid phonies and their claims,
get dragged into the political tit for tat,
and get further questioned over accuracy and credibility,
over a PHONY.
Keep the credibility.
Please.
Our nation depends on it.
In short…..
Leftwingnuts (wingnuts from the left)
are especially nutty.
Rightwingnuts exist, too.
No one should let the nuts drag them into wingnutty responses.
The moral cowardice in that comment simply amazes me…
Poetrooper,
Rightwing and rightwingnut are 2 different things.
Surely, you should be 1 to know the difference.
You say: “I am a registered Republican, who is right/center, and votes for almost all Republicans on my local ballot.”
Then you, sir, are a right-wing nut in the eyes of most contemporary leftists. I’m sure the Southern Poverty Law Center could find some plausible reason to include you on their infamous hit list.
To self-silence in the face of that kind of lunacy is moral cowardice. You ask this group of veterans, many who have fought the enemy on that enemy’s ground to simply yield our own ground, to give up the primary weapon we have, the gathering, posting and exchanging of information about the lunatics, out of fear of discrediting ourselves with irrational people who are offended by virtually every word we say?
That is precisely the kind of behavior that brought political correctness and the current madness into being. Sorry, but I don’t roll that way nor do most of those who are regulars at TAH.
As to your premise that TAH may lose its credibility with the lefties on the issue of stolen valor, do you mean those on the left whose idea of a war hero is John Kerry or Dickie Blumenthal? You actually think those people care about the authenticity of a site that exposes cretins like their heroes?
You, MarineDad, need to start thinking more like a Marine…
Are you saying don’t oppose wrong because some folks might disapprove?
Don’t oppose people claiming to be “helping” when they are in fact harming?
Dont call out phonies and hypocrites, because it detracts from calling out phonies and hypocrites?
Your position seems wrong.
Blackfive went all politically neutral, so as to not offend any purported readers. No one looks at it anymore; its founder decided to only publish book reviews to avoid alienating any progs.
When has a liberal site ever gone neutral or moved towards the center to appease white readers? They don’t and that’s why they keep winning the battle of the Internet. Conservatives tend to be willing to at least let people voice the views whether they agree with them or not, and I’m fine with that.
But when conservatives begin calling on other conservatives to muzzle themselves so as to avoid conflict is when I lose my patience as I obviously did with that comment from MarineDad61. I understand that MD61 is a good guy, but that suggestion is a truly bad one and that kind of thinking, that of hiding our honest views for fear of offending the snowflakes, is what got this country in the mess it’s in now.
The problem is that the hard left knows our conservative tendency toward openness and our reluctance to offend and they have used it as a weapon against us in a bit of ideological jiu jitsu.
I must confess it rather pains me that no one else here has spoken up to support my position in a situation that if followed by TAH would likely lead to a similar situation as Blackfive. I was one of the earliest readers and contributors to that site and I haven’t visited there in ages.
Neither appeasement nor silence are badges of valor, ladies and gentlemen…
No one?
You threw a brushback pitch. I held up the mirror of introspection.
Poe I think most of us agree with you, myself included. My FIRST thought was that MD61’s screen name had been hi-jacked, that has happened here before. Even had a dumbass use an admin’s name and get away with it for a bit til one of them wandered by, saw the comment, scratched their WTF button and checked the IP address.
You’re right Mail, you did speak up–my bad for saying “no one” spoke up. Thanks for the characterization of a brushback pitch–it’s true my intent was to warn–even intimidate, if you will–away from the idea of being intimidated ourselves so as to limit our speech. KoB’s thought of a hijacked user name frankly never entered my mind. As to OWB’s suggestion that we have strayed from our original intent–he explains himself why that is so–due to myriad reasons, missions change, but the need to survive never does and it has been my observation that the articles posted here that engender the most interest, as reflected by the number and length of comments, are almost always political in nature. As I recall, we’ve had this discussion about politics in the past and there were a few TAH regulars then who objected to political content on the site. I made essentially the same argument then that I make now: Are we as Milbloggers not affected by and should we not be directing our attentions and opinions to the political issues that affect our lives and our loved ones? Out of some sense of political neutrality instilled in many here by their long years in military service, do we ignore the political forum and leave it to others to speak for us? That is certainly not my call to make for the site as a whole but you can bet the farm I will continue to express my own political views, as that is what brought me to this site in the first place: Jonn (RIP) gave me a forum precisely because I wrote about politics on MilBlogs and he shared many of my views. MarineDad61 suggested we not post the comments of extremists, both left and right or it might cost us our credibility. Well, where are the extreme right-wingers at TAH? Is that me? KoB? 11B-Mailclerk? rgr769? The Other Whitey? We all seem to have consistently conservative views that I’m sure most leftists would consider extreme right even though, in reality, they are not. I’m sure the resident seagull, with his… Read more »
While I may not agree completely with how you expressed this, I may understand where you are coming from, MD.
There are thousands of sites that deal with political views. This is not traditionally one of them. In fact, it used to be highly unusual for outright political statements to be made. It is a milblog. By definition, items of interest to active, retired, and veterans in general was the almost exclusive focus with particular emphasis on stolen valor.
Of course, the reality of today is that getting confirmation on valor thieves is somewhere between impossible and very difficult so the number of valor thief postings has come to a screeching halt. Filling in with other items has become necessary.
I am not advocating that anyone here hide their political views, and I don’t think MD was suggesting appeasement of snowflakes either. However, I am not comfortable with the turn we may have taken toward becoming just another place for political opinion to be expressed either. IF all the political stuff is filler until we can address the backlog of stolen valor cases, I am OK with that. IF this turn to political expression becomes permanent, I don’t particularly like it because it means, to me, that we have turned our backs on the original mission of this site.
Electing to focus on those things about which we can mostly agree instead of devolving into yet another place for flame wars isn’t really appeasement. It does take a good degree of maturity to keep one’s eye on the mission without being distracted by the noise around us.
Just my 2 cents.
