Have you heard that a six-block section of Seattle has become an anarchist “capitol hill autonomous zone,” or “CHAZ” for short?
It has. Police and firefighters vacated their premises and bugged out with a Twitter blessing from Mayor Jenny Durkan. Durkan dithered over the descent of protests into violence for a week before doing much, and when she did much, her choice was to tweet in hasty retreat.
Anarchists quickly set up CHAZ to be and do its own thing, as long as that thing conformed with diktats of the CHAZ hierarchy.
They put up makeshift signs saying, “You are now leaving the U.S.A.” They appropriated stolen barricades from America, which they despise. To paraphrase a former president, CHAZ did not build that. Or anything else.
The CHAZ collective thanked the mayor for her gift of a six-block area of America the mayor does not personally own (and which includes about 500 homes of actual Americans) by storming city hall and demanding that she resign unless she disbands the police.
Demonstrators remained peaceful, without reports of violence or injuries, but are pushing Mayor Jenny Durkan to step down if she refuses to defund the city’s police department.
The protesters continued to camp out in a self-declared “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ)– a region spanning six blocks and encompassing the precinct– which has effectively been abandoned by law enforcement after the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct on Monday.

An eagle-eyed tweeter spotted an urgent problem developing in the secessionist CHAZ collective: The homeless stole all their food.
Call the police!
Right — CHAZ wants to disband the police. The police are over in America anyway, and American police have no obligation to help secessionist CHAZ.
CHAZ has no farms or orchards. CHAZ is paved over with streets and buildings. CHAZ cannot feed itself.
In addition to being dependent on America, which it despises, CHAZ is a hypocritical anarchist collective. It wants to enforce its borders.

The police left them laying around, after they abandoned their positions defending their station. The protesters set them up keeping traffic out of a 6-block area. It’s now essentially a street festival. The “borders” are open, the trolls who say that there are armed men checking ID and taking money at checkpoints are 100% lying.
A street festival established within a district of property it doesn’t own, and was seized from it’s rightful and lawful owners. A street festival that cannot feed clothe, house or provide for itself except by leeching off of what is already there. A street festival that has vandalized the entire area with stupid graffiti and banners that someone is going to have to remove or paint over when these neo-Hippie, free-love day-trippers get bored, don’t have food and decide to go back to their Mom’s basement. This is the same stupid shit they tried in the 60’s. It didn’t work then, and it won’t work now because the people in control of Chaz are just a bunch of selfish, spoiled brats. The National Guard needs to go in, remove them by force and give the blocks back to the people that live and work there.
Doesn’t really matter, They’re supposed to be AGAINST WALLS. My suggestion is a completely peaceful one … Put up an high, impenetrable wall around the area, turn off electricity, water, sewage and food deliveries … and wait until they surrender. They should’ve done this in Waco. Democrats can NEVER figure out how to solve the problems that THEY themselves create. Nice ideas(sometimes), mind you, but ALWAYS poorly implemented.

Small ‘l’ libertarianism is a governing philosophy. The philosophy, in its essence is what I said. How it differs in practice is what happens when you have more than two people trying to govern something. No one gets to govern exactly the way their philosophy would have them because they have to share power with others.
Now as to your assertion that they both use the same tag line. That’s like saying Vegans and that guy with the funny mustache had the same tagline – “I’m a vegetarian”. Nothing in libertarianism says there should be no government. That is pretty much the definition of an anarchist.
So to clean your statement up a bit:

What ol’ Poe finds most ironic about this is that the first thing these “Libertarians” (as Lars calls them) do is to throw up barricades to limit the free-flow of, among other things, commerce and free human movement. That’s supposedly a huge no-no in Libertarianism.

Seattle has been circling the toilet bowl for the last couple years. Drug addled homeless living in tents downtown taking a whiz or a dumps on the sidewalk is common.

I was in the Occupy Boise movement until I got my belly full of PC diktats and useless prattling about oppression that did not exist. This will be the most unproductive of any collective experiments, and that’s saying alot because most of these things are pretty bad.
