Nothing to See Here: Move Along

| June 3, 2020

Antifa and other anarchists have co-opted the Floyd protests, undermining the real purpose of those gatherings. Nothing is more cowardly and shameful than stealing that man’s death and twisting it into a vile, disgusting display of violence and destruction toward people who have done nothing wrong, e.g., shop owners, store managers, bank managers, the local LEOS. It is the act of unfettered cowards who hide behind a false mask of “owning” a tragedy that could have been avoided, but has been exploited by scumbags like Antifa and other anarchists who may  be supported by someone else’s money.

https://thehill.com/opinion/civil-rights/500605-antifa-and-anarchists-have-hijacked-floyd-protests-but-left-wont-admit-it

And the Left won’t admit to it. In fact, they take no responsibility for it, and everything is someone else’s fault. Sounds an awful lot like an excuse a spoiled 3 year old brat would try to fall back on.

From the article:  Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and other officials there claimed a majority of those arrested were outsiders. Walz estimated the figure at 80 percent. National Urban League President Marc Morial ratcheted up the outrage in a cable news interview. He demanded an investigation to confirm “if it is white supremacists, if it is Russians, if it is other foreign actors who have tried to exploit the pain and exploit legitimate protests.”

It was manifestly implausible to suggest the rioting was the work of white supremacists or Russians. Arrest data showed a majority of those arrested in Minneapolis were from the city. The four people arrested in New York in fire bombing attacks were all state residents. The problem is that the most obvious culprits are all too familiar. A movement of anarchist, antifascist, and extreme left wing groups has been building for years, with violence from Washington to Berkeley. The most prominent is antifa, but there are also groups like By All Means Necessary with similar histories. – article.

It is quite unlikely that it is Russians, and much more likely that these groups who start the destruction are paid to be destructive and egg people on to commit more destruction by someone who is loaded with cash.

To hijack the death of someone and pervert it to your own needs is the most reprehensible thing possible. These are not protesters. Those people come out in the daytime, do their protest march peacefully and go home. They don’t dress up in black with masks covering their faces and carrying harmful equipment with them, nor to the shoot someone and take videos of him while he’s dying and broadcast them on the internet. All of that is indecent, dishonest and has no place in a protest. It’s just an excuse to let everyone know what soulless, contemptible creatures they are, because they have nothing going for them.

We’ve already been at this point many times before now.  The May 4, 1886, rally at Haymarket Square was organized by labor radicals to protest the killing and wounding of several workers by the Chicago police during a strike the day before at the McCormick Reaper Works.  Bonus Army marchers confronted the police in Anacostia Flats, DC,  in 1932, in the heart of the Depression. The Bonus Army was a group of 43,000 demonstrators – made up of 17,000 U.S. World War I veterans, together with their families and affiliated groups – who gathered in Washington, D.C. in mid-1932 to demand early cash redemption of their service certificates. The civil rights marches and protests in the early to mid-1960s rattled the cage doors on Washington, DC, and on state governments. The protests against the war in Vietnam in the 1960s were everywhere, in Chicago, at Kent State University, in California, in Washington, DC – they were everywhere.

Where is this going to lead us? Right now, I don’t know. But someone had better start clamping down on the after dark violence and destruction and start some dialogues, or we are going to go through this again and again until it resolves itself, and possibly in a very unpleasant way.  And I don’t want that.

“A house divided against itself, cannot stand.” I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or all the other. – A. Lincoln, June 16, 1858, Springfield, IL.

The true irony is how hard these leftists worked to get the people elected who would create the “everything is regulated” and “welfare for all” states and cities where in order to enforce both compliance and confiscation the police force had to be vile, violent, and vexatious.

Then, they erupt every 3-4 years in anger at the very people they insist on electing because that system sucks donkey balls.

Everyone then blames the party/parties not in power because they can.

If this sounds like a 5 year old complaining because he is hungry after refusing to eat lunch, you are correct.

But…such is the intellectual maturity of the fascistic left in the USA.

  2. The Other Whitey says:

I’m scratching my head at how they can go on and on and on about institutional racism in, say, Minneapolis PD, and ignore the fact the Minneapolis PD has answered to nothing but democrats for the last 47 years. That goes way beyond cognitive dissonance.

    • Mason says:

With a black police chief, black attorney general, and black director of public safety.

Just like Baltimore is a systemically racist at the time of Freddie Grey killing himself. The Bawlmore police department is largely made up of minorities, had a black chief, a black city prosecutor, majority black council, black mayor, black US Representative, etc.

“Systemic racism” seems to be advantageous to black people. I think there might be systemic racism, but not the racism against who they think.

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Actually, they are consistent. Their premises are false.

-their- schemes fail because -you- won’t cooperate with their otherwise sound theology/philosophy/shroom-fits. -Your- failures screw up their plans.

Does that not explain pretty much everything dysfunctional they say and do?

I’m waiting with baited breath for BLM, the new black panther party, and Rev Wright to figure out that antifa/black bloc and these other extreme leftest groups are about as concerned with their well being as the KKK and their ilk.

It’s going to be amusing to see the video of a bunch of African Americans mauling one of those turds at some point.

The left is running into the same problem ME governments have. They’ve enabled them long enough they now have no control over them. Once the leadership on the left realizes their puppets have no strings and a penchant for hate, they aren’t going to know what to do.

They’ll blame white supremacists (who would also be amusing to see get stomped out at a protest), the POTUS, and white people (not themselves though, they are the “good” white people here to save the poor negro who is too stupid to save himself).

    • 11B-Mailclerk says:

If “white supremacists” or “far right” folks were stirring s##t at the protests, they would be arrested, or shot, by police on orders of those oh-so-left mayors.

The Hard-left Dems are making no serious efforts to stop or round up the instigators. Therefore the instigators are far -left-.

  4. Getting rid of antifa will be kind of hard to do since they are the arm of the demoRAT party and the hero’s of the lame stream news media.(nbc, cnn, msnbc) plus I believe being paid by george SOROS. Remember that the KKK was the arm of the demoRAT party and I believe they still are but they have been very quiet for a long time./Sarc

Spot on M’Lady and a BZ good linky to Flakpup. And we mustn’t forget the Noo Yawk Draft Riots of July 1863. Aided and abetted by domestic enemies of the Lincoln Admin. Guess which party controlled Noo Yawk? And how many innocents were killed then? Hung on lampposts and an orphanage burned, with the children still inside. Follow the money.

I see the hand of George Soros and his minions all over this. He had stated, for the record, again, in 2014 from his lair in Switzerland, that he would stir up a race war in the US and use the “manipulative Black Race” to help speed the destruction of us. These people are being used and either do not realize it, or will not acknowledge it. Lock and Load!

  6. Comm Center Rat says:

An interesting historical tidbit from a self-taught history buff:

MG Douglas MacArthur was ordered by President Herbert Hoover to “surround the affected area and clear it without delay.” Known later in WW II as “Dugout Doug” the general accompanied troops and tanks in the “defeat” of the Bonus Army against the advice of then Major Dwight D. Eisenhower. Fortunately, no veterans were shot or killed by troops as tear gas dispersed them in a few hours.

Doug became a demigod in the right-wing of the Republican Party which viewed his actions as saving the country from a potential communist revolution in 1932. But it was Ike who would save the world in WW II and then serve two terms as a Republican US President from 1953-1961. “I like Ike.”

    • USMC Steve says:

MacArthur was a republican in name only. The only thing he was up for was himself. A pompous, self aggrandizing fool who was radically overly impressed with himself, far in excess of his actual abilities. He was also an early valor thief. Evidence now exists that he claimed the actions of several of his battalion commanders in W1 as his own, and was decorated for them.

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

I’ve heard that MacArthur was indeed hated by his Subordinates as well.

        • Mason says:

That’s why he was known as “Dugout Doug.” Hiding in his fortified tunnels as his men on the Phillipine Islands were being overrun by Japanese.

          • The Other Whitey says:

If you haven’t already, look up MOH recipient CAPT Harl Pease, and how, on Pease’s behalf, General Kenney got MacArthur to admit that he was an asshole, albeit behind closed doors.

      • The Other Whitey says:

MacArthur was a reasonably skilled commander, but like you said, he was way too in love with himself, and put far too much consideration into how a given decision might affect his public image*, as opposed to, say, how many casualties it might incur. It wouldn’t be so bad if he was actually incompetent, as at least then he would be too stupid to know better. But MacArthur was plenty competent, knew exactly what he was doing, and had no excuse.

        * Contrast Ike, who drew up a speech on the eve of Operation Overlord admitting the failure of the Allied landings in Normandy, and declaring that all blame and responsibility for the failure of the operation and the deaths of so many American, British, and Canadian soldiers rested solely on his own shoulders. Luckily, Ike never had to make that speech, but it speaks volumes about his character and integrity.

Running over tarpaper shacks where homeless Vets are living, begging for the money promised to them….
If any of ‘em were Leaders they would have told Hoover to fornicate himself.

      • 11B-Mailclerk says:

One should remember, in an effort to be honest about that fiasco, that the “Bonus Army” was asking for -early- payment of bonuses due in 1945.

They had no legal basis for their demands, other than stated need.

One can debate the good/bad of paying early, but paying on time would be honoring a contract. Demanding payment at the time was asking out of a contract.

    • Devtun says:

MacArthur was a 4 star at the time (serving as Army CoS).

      • Comm Center Rat says:

True that. After serving as CoS and declining retirement from the Army in 1935 per army regulations, Doug reverted to his permanent rank of MG. He then became the Chief Military Advisor to the Commonwealth Government of the Philippines.

    • The Other Whitey says:

To be fair, the Bonus Army was asking for an immediate lump-sum payout of a bonus that was supposed to be paid in long-term installments.

To also be fair, they were asking for it out of desperation, having lost their jobs, homes, and savings to the Depression and having no other options.

It was a bad call by Hoover and a colossal dick move by MacArthur.

      • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Whoops. Missed your post when writing mine

Lots of fiasco all around. McArthur exceeded his orders. Eisenhower obeyed the excess. Hoover might have been better off negotiating. The Bonus Marchers should have been a bit more cognizant of how they looked to Government. Hoover should have court-martialed McAurther for the excess. (Of course, that might have cost us victory in the Pacific without an invasion and apocalyptic bloodbath, and if not that, then cost us a successful occupation without bloodbath. Then Korea is very different…)

-lots- of mistakes and what-ifs, all around. Could have been worse.

  7. Mustang Major says:

These riots make a case for the second amendment. Residents of countless neighborhoods are safe due to sane armed citizens. Antifa and looters are aware of the opposing firepower. If the Democrats end up with the trifecta of the Oval Office, House and Senate, look for an attack of the Second Amendment as we have never seen before.

The health of Justice Ginsburg is a potential factor in the outcome.

    • AW1Ed says:

The attack has already occurred at the State level, MM. Take if you will the PDRofMD, when the Dems held majorities in both Houses and the Governor’s Mansion (still do for all intents and purposes; that’s for another rant). They gleefully passed and enacted some of the most restrictive gun laws in the Nation. Then what? Crickets. Mandatory turn-in? Come and take them.
The point is, passing onerouse gun laws is one thing. Enforcing them is another critter entirely.

  8. Club Manager, US Army, retired says:

WAR STORY ALERT: At RAF Schulthorpe in 60′ we had anti-nuclear weapons protesters. The Air Police had to form a human barrier at the gate to stop them. They would not give us bayonets, rifles or anything else I could remember. They would send attractive younger women to the front to sweet talk us to get close enough to kick our knees and legs with knife pointed toes. We wised up real quick and the Bobbies wasted no time dealing with those. Not a pleasant situation for young military police to be put into. I don’t know how I would have reacted if someone got in my face – probably not professionally.

    • Roh-Dog says:

Everyone thinks themselves a tough guy with a great plan, right up til they get punched in the face.

      • David says:

And you become a really big believer in equal retaliation when the person punching you is a girl. Gentlemanliness be damned.

        • Roh-Dog says:

I gave a nice lady a couple warnings about repeatedly attempting to kick me in the nuts, until I pushed her into an alternate reality.
Then her male friends decided to come ‘round, all handled by my group and the bouncers who watched the whole thing.
Drunk in public is hazardous for the stupid.

  9. Mason says:

Here’s a breakdown of the media and Democrat’s (I repeat myself) false narrative about the “peaceful” protest in DC on Monday.

    https://thefederalist.com/2020/06/02/media-falsely-claimed-violent-riots-were-peaceful-and-that-tear-gas-was-used-against-rioters/

Now even Pelosi is admitting that they might not have used tear gas. The Democrats and media (I repeat myself) know that you can say a sensational lie and then quietly recant it later. They know nobody will see/hear the retraction.

    • David says:

but – but – Lars spent half the afternoon telling us that rioting was justified because of the tear gas and pepper rounds!

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

It appears that he thinks we automatically need to fall in with and believe the his cult drivel that he posts and since he said our noncompliance with it was pissing him off, it’s obvious that he went back to his coloring books!

      • Huey Jock says:

If they would just mix a little C S in with that tear gas, when the perps quit pukeing up their toenails they would think twice about joining in with the festivities the next night.

Should have done it on the border too.
