More or Les Putting Elko NV on the Map
Just when you thought it was over – there’s more. Just like those commercials when they say — “but wait, that’s not all.”
Since it is getting challenging finding anything significant in the comments due to the sheer number as well as the formatting, we thought we would highlight a couple of recent developments.
1) NV AG – Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford’s office has been submitted a full and comprehensive report complete with evidence, links, photos, and other pertinent information. The AG’s oversight was specifically requested because there seems to be a “circling of the wagons” in Carlin, Elko and Spring Creek. This strikes me as strange because anybody that knows me well as a friend has been told that if I’m ever full of the brown stuff, I expect them to tell me. Often, I’ve heard — “Steve, I love you like a brother but you’re wrong on this one.” Apparently, Les’ friends define friendship differently.
2) PHOTOS – New photos have surfaced that show a “MSG/E-8” Les Brown speaking at a local area children’s Christian academy for their 2018 veteran’s day event with his cammies on. Sewn to those cammies are the rank of E-8, Master Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab above the MP sleeve, and the coveted Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB) which is a clear violation of the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2013. We know that some people around Elko, Carlin and Spring Creek are very forgiving of Les, and in the eyes of some he can do no wrong, but there is no getting around the fact that this is a federal crime. Let me repeat that – this is a federal crime. No more hiding behind the vests. This is clear and indisputable evidence. I would not want Les around my kids and being an influence on them, so I imagine others may feel the same. The academy said that many gave Les a hug afterward.

3) NATIONAL GUARD UNIT – Members of Les Brown’s National Guard unit have stated that he missed drills and was eventually kicked out. All of the years that he served may not be “good” years since a Guardsman has to fulfill minimum requirements for drills and one two week active duty per year unless it is waived. Members are being solicited for sworn statements since this entire case may have to go the distance. Les could save us some work by coming clean, but it seems he is not going to blink first so we have to put the necessary time in. I will guarantee you this – if he blinks at a later date after a considerable amount of time has been put into this, people are not simply going to shrug their shoulders and toss the work to the side. Les had his chance to come clean and he squandered it.
4) NPRC REVISITED – We pressed a senior technician at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) to double and triple-check Les Brown’s military records. We supplied both DD-214’s – the one that he had for “IN SUPPORT OF DESERT STORM” and the one that was for “IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION GARDEN PLOT.” The NPRC holds the official military records for Lester Kent Brown.
Since it is the policy of the NPRC to rarely release DD-214s, the technician was provided these DD-214s and asked to compare with what was on file for Les Brown. The senior technician took considerable time to review these along with Les’ records and confirmed that they don’t have any information beyond the 1994 period. Further, the technician said that the 1992 DD 214 we provided is the last one that is shown in his record. The technician also tried the Electronic system and said that no records were found there so said that it appears 1994 was the end of his Les Brown’s service records.
5) RETIRED MILITARY ID CARD – Although we have not seen it, we have been told that Les Brown is flashing around a retired military ID card with the rank of MSG on it. Based on his military records, this card simply cannot be authentic. That is probably why he is not posting it. If he has used this card for goods or services, he has a lot of explaining to do. Maybe someone that worked at a place where Les has used this card will come forward? Until that day, we challenge Les to post a photo of this ID card. He won’t of course, because it is probably designed for people in his “circle of trust” so he doesn’t have any defectors, but we’ve seen a few defectors already that are wondering about a few things that Les told them that don’t add up. Yeah, your instincts are good – question, question, and question.
If Les has a retired military ID in his possession, I think that should be the very first thing that law enforcement confiscate and take a photo of. Do it before he destroys it because he’ll soon be denying that he ever had one and the people that he showed it too are going to be told another story such as they didn’t see what they thought they saw.
SUMMARY
To recap, we would like to provide some photos with annotations provided to us by members of this community. These are provided for the benefit of civilians out there that do not understand the names and significance of medals.
The leverage of rank and combat experience is clearly established going back to 2010 and 2011.
Because books are closed due to being a non-profit not earning over $50,000 per year, it would take somebody in law enforcement or a governmental body to require an audit. Because Stolen Valor and misrepresentation are closely tied to past fundraising, it is my opinion that there is potential fraud involved but law enforcement would have to make the final determination. Since Les has worked or is working as a law enforcement officer, it may take some oversight to ensure that any potential investigation is fair and impartial.
The big questions are these:
- Is Les Brown going to single-handily put Carlin, Elko and Spring Creek Nevada on the map?
- Will Les be known as the Brown Stain on their community?
Things are just getting started. This should prove to be interesting to watch.
To Les Brown – Look at this as an opportunity. An opportunity to show the people around you how you handle adversity. People want to be inspired. Inspire us – show some integrity. Your behavior so far only displays the age-old tactics that many a Stolen Valor thief before you have employed. Be different. Do it for the kids. Reach down deep and say something like:
I didn’t think I was good enough, so I created a version of myself that wasn’t authentic. You tell the thing the way it ought to be because it is much better than how it is. I did not trust those closest to me to accept me for what I am. I see now that I hurt others. I see now that I pulled others unfairly into covering for me when I was discovered. They are loyal and good friends, but they don’t deserve to be tainted by what I brought upon them. Neither does this good city.
I remain hopeful and optimistic to hear something like this, but I won’t be holding my breath.

Holy Fuckin Balls.
Sporting a Green Beret.
I will listen and learn from the individuals who have EARNED such.
Gotta get more popcorn, and pay respects to SISTER Mary Grace.
Keep me in check, EX-PH2.
fake wearing a Green Beret…
It sure would be nice to hear from Elko residents with stories from 12 years ago, or 9 years, or 2 years ago…
… where the Elko resident went up to Les Brown
and said “Take that shit off.”
… along with everything that took place afterwards.
Let’s go, VFW (National).. get ‘er done.
The guy sports a local LEO connection.
That is problematic for anyone with a beef.
Especially in a small community.
Exactly.
Elko is actually a fairly nice city.
Not that small, either, at 20,000.
But this whole Internet Outsiders vs. Elko Oasis equipped with Desert Sand Shield mentality… of just a few, certainly not all….
WILL be the certain undoing… of those few.
The two McDonalds have lousy ratings.
I looked.
Could be a competion thing though.
Local LEO’s aren’t dumb. Individually they probably suspect Les Brown isn’t all he claims to be.
He’s a part-time bailiff. He isn’t a cop.
What causes “Brown Stain”?
Fecal smudging. No shit, I looked it up.
Diesel and mogas, and an e-2 will take care of that shit.
Paraphrased from one of the sworn statements:
* I saw some pictures on his (Les Brown’s) Facebook account and a newspaper article from the Elko Daily Free Press stating that he is a 20 year retired Master Sergeant from the Army. I also had seen pictures of him wearing a camouflage uniform which is at the Elko City Parade wearing E-8 stripes which I know this not to be a true representation. He also has a picture of him wearing his POW/MIA jacket with the E-8 and RANGER tab, Special Forces tab and jump wings and also displaying the CIB badge (Combat Infantryman Badge). I know for a fact, having served with Les Brown, that he was never a part of any such units.
* I know of this information because in 1993 the 121st chemical battalion had a unit dinner when Mr. Brown appeared with all the aforementioned items on his uniform. Then at our next guard drill we checked his 201 file and discovered he wasn’t authorized to wear any of the aforementioned insignia on his uniform.
* I was then called into the readiness NCO’s office who at the time was SFC XXXX XXXXX. He advised me of what had been discovered and showed me the personal file. We then called Mr. Brown into the office and advised him to remove all the unauthorized items from his uniform, which he had done except for the RANGER tab which he never removed up until he was discharged for failing to report for guard drills, in 1994.
* For many months I had to fight with Specialist E-4 Brown on this matter and others which took away from my other duties.
Obvious question:
Don’t you have to graduate from whatever school or training program Ranger candidates attend in order to be qualified to WEAR a Ranger tab?????
Yes, you do. And wearting unauthorized decorations/badges/tabs is a violation of the UCMJ (and of most SCMJs, which typically mirror the UCMJ fairly closely).
In order to legitimately wear the Ranger tab a school graduate has to have passed at least half of one’s patrols as a leader and achieve a certain minimum total score for the entire 8-9 week course. About 10-15 percent graduate but don’ t have the numbers to be awarded the tab. The two Navy SEALs in my class were not awarded the tab because they couldn’t pass half their patrols when leaders. We were quite unhappy about that as we loved those guys; they always stepped up on ops.
And then there are the peer evaluations!
Bottom-hanging fruit can be dropped from the school even if their performance is okay.
I once heard a horror story from someone who went through US Army Ranger School who said that Peer Review was referred to as “Fuck your Buddy Time” and it’s true that Students can and do get tossed for poor peer reviews. IMHO it’s still VERY obvious that Les Brown never even attended much less graduated from US Army Ranger School.
Yes, “Fuck Your Buddy Time” but not necessarily. Peer Evaluations were mandatory, but you could write good ones.
I was told that one of *my* evaluations came from a student from Battalion. He wrote “Ranger1480 does not mind humping the M60 and PRC77 even though he’s an officer.”
Yeah, we didn’t wear rank … but people knew who the officers were.
In my class, about 90 percent of us were officers.
Trust me, the Brown Stain would have been gone the first week of the Benning phase. Plus, the only MP in our class was a Reserve Special Forces major. He was an LAPD detective in civilian life.
I’m quite sure that Les Brown would have been cut on the first day if he ever even bothered to try to attend!
Yep. Pretty sure the quick cut would have happened. I can visualize the official write-up as:
“Candidate’s Ranger Class Packing List items exhibited excessive Fecal Smudging.”/smile
I was just giving him a few days because that is about how long it would have taken for the 1st Sgt, a MACV-SOG veteran, to figure out what a shitbird he was. Although, about a sixth of our class was gone because they couldn’t pass the combat swimming test on day two.
0500, early February date with the worm pit would have folded him like a pretzel.
The United States Army Ranger Tab is technically classified as an “award.” The Tab must be awarded, and that leaves considerable amount of discretion to the Cadre at the Ranger School.
As others have noticed, it is entirely possible to complete every day of the course, pass every class, march every mile, make every jump, and be issued a “Certificate of Completion” without being AWARDED the coveted Black and Gold Ranger Tab. Peer reviews, failure to pass patrol leadership positions, questionable ethics (shamming, ghosting) can all result in a decision not to award a student the Tab at graduation.
You can’t just “meet every minimum,” you can’t just “follow the rucksack of the guy in front of you,” you must actually demonstrate military leadership under conditions as close to combat as the cadre is legally allowed to press. (And actually, in some cases worse in terms of food, sleep, and support. Just no incoming rounds or rockets).
Men like Lester Kent Brown wouldn’t stand a chance.
You are absolutely correct, except that in the case of foreign officers of certain third world countries, the school awards them the tab so they won’t be executed by their government for bringing shame on their army. Case in point was a Malaysian 2LT in my class. He could speak little English but he could hump the M-60 all day long and never complain. In the mountain phase we basically used him as a pack mule. Needless to say there was no was he could pass any leadership position. We were all shocked he was awarded a tab. Later we learned that years earlier a Malaysian army LT had been sent home as a graduate but without a tab. He was supposedly executed for shaming his country and military. Anyway, that is what we were told. I do know our two British Army officers would have been sent home without a tab, had they not earned it.
“…no way he could pass a leadership position….”
We had an Israeli captain who, as a corporal, was on the Entebbe Raid. He said Ranger School patrols were okay, but not difficult since no one was shooting at us trying to kill us.
He could do chin-ups with the M-60 until the RI told him to stop because we, behind him, were hungry and ready for breakfast.
And I’m not equating Israel with Third World countries … just my story. We probably had other foreign officers in our class, but he’s the one I remember. (And he gave a briefing about the Entebbe Raid).
We never had anyone that illustrious in my class. But one of the Brit officers had “The Honorable” in his name. Our cadre First shirt had a leg shot off in RVN doing strategic recon patrols with one of the MACVSOG Command & Control outfits, but we never even knew he was missing a leg below the knee.
A MACV/SOG First Shirt with a prosthetic leg and no one could tell? Studly!
Regarding your Brit officer, if part of his name was “The Honourable…” then his daddy was a viscount or baron; or, he was the younger son of an earl.
If it was “The Right Honourable”, then he himself was a baron, viscount, or earl.
I spent a summer working at Armadale Castle, Isle of Skye, Scotland in 1978. The estate belonged to The Right Honourable Godfrey James Macdonald of Macdonald, 8th Lord Macdonald, Chief of the Name and Arms of Macdonald, High Chief of Clan Donald and 24th hereditary chief of Clan Donald.
Ain’t that a mouthfull?
How cool. I quite liked the Brits before they became all pussified.!
Yeah, except for SAS, Paras, and Black Watch.
Re SAS, Lord Macdonald’s late father used to allow the SAS use his estate for training — something about snipers and deer. (^_^)
I did the CQB course with 22nd SAS in 1972 at Hereford. Yes, they were very squared away, as were the Paras (did an exchange with the Guards’ No. 1 Independent Para Company in 1969. But their present culture has removed the testicles of the average Brit male other than those in their elite military formations.
rgr769 …. You must be squared away to have been sent to the SAS CQB course. Did you also qualify for their jump wings?
Dayummm!!! *YOU* have a lot of good experiences in your career history! [/envy]
“….one of the the sworn statements”….interesting.
“For many months I had to fight with Specialist E-4 Brown on this matter and others which took away from my other duties.”
The fact that this shitbag uses the POW and MIA to further enable his shitbaggery pisses me the hell off.
Hmmm?? — “advised him to remove” “for many months I had to fight”
So what I gather from that is e-4 Lester Kent “Brown Stain” Brown was in command of the 121st Chemical Battalion and there were no Officers or Non-Commissioned Officers appointed over him to issue either a direct or lawful order to REMOVE ALL unauthorized items from his uniform.
Interesting Chain of Command in that outfit. But in the ANG, is “advise” all the superiors are allowed to do to subordinates? Not trying to be snarky, just wanting to find out since I spent zero time as a National Guardsman.
Some observations from serving 13 of my 26 years of active duty as an AGR guy (active duty Guard)
ARNG = Army National Guard
ANG = Air National Guard
I know what you meant and its a common mistake just passing this along as an FYI for professional development.
To answer your question though. The Guard (and Reserve) have a lot of great folks but one of the things they and their leaders don’t have is a lot of experience with the UCMJ unlike their active duty counterparts
So they don’t, in many cases, know how to deal with a lot of common issues we face on active duty using UCMJ. Like this one with Les for example.
Compound that with the fact that the Guard doesn’t even fall under the UCMJ except when they’re on federal orders (Annual Training, AGR, mobilization, etc). They aren’t under UCMJ during their weekend drills.
Each state does have a State Code of Military Justice that does cover their Guard troops on orders in non federal status.
But. You’ve only got a weekend. So wtf do you do?
Issue the douchebag a direct legal order? Sure. But what if he refuses?
On active duty that’s easy. Confine him to quarters until UCMJ can be administered and/or call the MPs right?
But what do you do when you’re at a Guard Armory in the middle of Podunk Iowa?
See what I’m getting at?
Short of wall-to-wall counseling wtf are you really going to do in the little amount of time you have in a weekend?
My point is that, like a lot of things in Guard and Reserve, you can’t simply apply an “active duty solution” to a uniquely Guard/Reserve problem
So what is one simple solution in a case like this?
They could have sent him home with no pay (and no annual points) for being out of uniform.
This does two things
1. It screws him out of pay and annual points toward retirement service
2. It starts a “non participation” trail to eventually kick him out for non participation
In a case like this that would have been the easiest, time efficient solution
Two things you can’t do on active duty
That’s what we’d do to shitbirds that wouldn’t show up to drill with regulation haircuts for example
Trust me it was a learning curve when I transitioned into AGR from the regular Army
Sending someone home and having them not get a good weekend will get you a fight with admin. They like those numbers that reflect good on their drill units. They will do everything they can to counsel and avoid giving someone bad credit for a weekend. Not right, but it is a reality. The dirt-bags get white-glove treatment.
I was “the admin” so I rarely had those worries.
I had a chain of command that generally supported my efforts to clean house but you are correct in general
Numbers drive everything in the Guard and Reserve
Yes, Sir. I do see what you’re getting at and Thank You for replying. There was a lot of info there that I wasn’t aware of.
Guess I was just used to giving PVT Snuffy some “Fatherly Advice” about what/when/where/how to do something and expecting that advice to be carried out./smile
Yep
And you didn’t have to worry about PVT Snuffy maybe being your civilian boss come Monday morning or your father in law maybe
Lol
Which is another distinct possibility in the Guard or Reserve
Just One More!! Just One More!!
Oh, gee whiz, Claw!
Okay. Here’s just one more.
Thank You, Ex. I guess I was typing up the other comment when you made this one.
Your comment was actually the 1400th and mine 1401.
Gotta give credit where credit is due.
Happy to help, Claw.
Thank You rgr769 for the comment above. That’s a quote from Coach Norman Dale, who (and here’s a thought for some people currently residing in Elko, NV) was threatened with having his ass hide-strapped to a pine rail and run up the Monon line./smile
With that taken care of, here’s today’s Panties Wedgie for the Sockpuppet “Truth”:
This comment is number 1,400 for all the combined threads pertaining to Les “Brown Stain” Brown and his little Band of Renowned Fecal Smudges.
The more that photo above shows up, the more disturbing it is that a grown man has to put those children in front of him.
Disturbing and disgusting, both.
Elko hasa Elks Lodge:
https://greatbasinelkslodge.org/
“We are a fraternal, social, and charitable organization. We have a good time while benefiting children, veterans, and community programs within our community of northeastern Nevada”
Cool photo of an airstrip /s
I wonder if the B.P.O.E. Lodge that Les Brown claims to be part of will circle their wagons around him?
Elko has a boy scout troop:
https://elkodaily.com/news/local-boy-scout-troops-out-in-strength/article_4b3cb2a8-a592-11e3-b4ed-0019bb2963f4.html
They understand earning the bling:
“The merit badge program itself is getting them interested in a hobby or a career they might want to do later in life,” Sutilla said.
And it is somewhat self-paced. Of about 130 different badges, a Boy Scout needs to earn 21 to become an Eagle Scout (the highest level)
“It takes a very long time to get them,”
Was Les a Boy Scout?
Maybe that’s what is missing in his life.
My brother and I got kicked out but that’s whole different thing. We didn’t need no badges.
Still don’t.
As a 10 year Scouting veteran and Eagle Scout I’d be shocked to learn Les was a Boy Scout in the 70s. He might have been in a short time before his patrol members staged a physical intervention to correct his shitbaggery. That probably convinced Les to join his school’s marching band and go blow the tuba.
“Badges?
We don’t need no stinking badges!”
Here’s comment #478 on this thread about Les Brown, I wonder how soon it’ll hit 500? MAN, what a bunch of Google® Hits on Les Brown!
I know. Everytime I do an even slightly related search I come up with something new.
The guy is everywhere.
Well past 500 already (535 and counting).
I wonder how soon this Les Brown thread will hit 600 (*WHOOPS!*, here’s another!)?
If Les Brown doesn’t come clean by the end of the week, is there any interest by the readers of TAH kicking in a few dollars each and buying a billboard ad in Elko, NV, asking why Les Brown hasn’t come clean on his military service record?
Run it for a week and see what results.
SECOND!!! Only question would be, is there a billboard large enough to hold a picture of a big of sh^t as Les Brown is? Maybe we could use a picture of whale sh^t instead, because that is how low of a piece of sh^t that Lester Kent Brown (stain) is.
I actually had an idea about hiring a Favor® driver to drive around Carlin and staple posters up on utility poles with a picture of his dumbass and “WHOSE GRANDDAUGHTER IS THIS?” underneath.
I wonder what it would cost to do say, a digital billboard if there are any in Elko Nevada for Les Brown to be featured on?
Public Statement on Les Brown
by American Legion Post 7 in Elko, Nevada
on Facebook:
Our Post has been contacted by Eric Lindinger asking about the newspaper article about Les Brown. Please do NOT give a statement about this. We are not authorized by National to speak about this. Thank you.
Note – Eric Lindinger responded:
Thank you, AL Post 7, for your assistance.
Elko Community pressure needs to put on Les Brown, the Elko POW*MIA, and VFW Post 2350, to have Les Brown be made accountable for fraudulent membership in the VFW, Stolen Valor false uniform violations, and false statements about (non-existent) combat and war zone service, dating back 10 years to 2009.
(with a valorguardians link to this page)
https://www.facebook.com/bannhorton3/posts/1454820781359650
It sounds like all of Les Brown’s shit is about to crash down on him in some quite fucktacular fashion!
“Fucktacular”.
request permission to steal, over;
(goddamn, that’s funny. I’m angry I didn’t think of it first.)
Granted, I take it as a compliment every time I see a fellow TAHellion use an insult or expression that I came up with!
I’d make a small bet that he’s packing his stuff right now, thinking about “going away” on his bike… because he seems to run from a lot of stuff.
Bet he wishes he never took the wheels off his house.
You win
Oh, *POW!*, right in the kisser!
Just looked at the photos on that FakeBook page of AL Post 7. They have one of lying Lester and his gang getting some certificate of appreciation last November. Of course our boy Brown Stain Brown is rockin’ his unearned ranger and SF long tab above the SF DUI on his vest of many colors and bling.
I’d personally throw in $100.00 toward this… shame him into coming clean about his service.
You’re going to need a drum of Oxytocin’s Clean to get that Brown Stain out.
Could that per chance be Les’s trailer park in the background of that pic?
That’s an RV park, rgr769.
It is actually a billboard available in Elko, NV.
Yesco aka YOUNG ELECTRIC SIGN CO owns lots of billboards in Nevada…
Solar power for a 14/24 board that starts at dark until morning runs at $500 per month. Batteries and solar panels on top of a pole mount only accessible by crane..
Yup, we designed these in 1988 via PHOTOCOMM in Scottsdale AZ…
No electric needed..
Trying to put the lung back in that I coughed up laughing at that.
Should put the word Brown in quotation marks…
On further thought, it probably should say “STOLEN VALOR IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME.”
Interesting.
I clicked on my link above to the
American Legion Post 7 Facebook page, and
AL Post 7 DELETED Eric Lindinger’s response comment.
We already know there’s no 1st Amendment on Facebook. But to have an American Legion Post do this reinforces the growing assumption… that there is no great concern for accountability and truth in Elko, Nevada.
Ugh.
Les Brown is the Rachel Dolezal of Elko, Nevada.
should change your name to Keepin’ it Mean
🙂
Sorry, I seem to be missing the TRUTH.
Truth be known, someone is playing fast and loose with her.
Still missing the TRUTH!!
Truth, where art thou?
(Thanks, Hack Stone.)
I must say this.
In 4 years of watching Stolen Valor takedowns, I often sympathize with the “victims” of these phonies. Recovery occurs, of course, after the hurt and betrayal pass.
However, when the Stolen Valor phony is someone in authority, leadership, or control over others, the damage stakes go way up, and yet we see the many many many phony’s fans, followers, and believers who stuck tight with the phony, fully (and blindly) defended the phony, counter attacked the Stolen Valor websites, and more… often right up to the very sad and ugly end.
There’s been a few phony defenders here and there (both collaborators and victims) who, due to their ugliness and awful behaviors, eventually earned and really deserved
a fat crow plate of “I TOLD YOU SO.”
From what I’ve seen the past 2 weeks,
Les Brown now has the
2nd largest set of fat crow plates, ever.
It’ll be one hell of a fat crow chili cookout.
POW*MIA Elko, remember to invite me.
I’ll even work the line, serving you your meal.
Wait, marinedad61, there is free chili.
(No disrespect intended, Sir.)
None taken, Med. B.
All you can eat chili: 5 Bucks.
Working the serving line
at the fat crow plate combined cookout:
Priceless.
’61 if this thing were to be properly prosecuted Ol’ Les may get served up another type of meat at the all they force you to eat BTJ&T Deli. I hear their servings comes with a special sauce.
You hungry Lester Kent Brown (stain)?
As Jerry Seinfeld, George, Kramer, and Jerry’s Mom once said..
“Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”
(2 hands up)
Les Brown
Les Brown
He’s a clown
That Les Brown
He’s gonna get caught, just you wait and see.
“Why’s everybody always picking on me.”
It just seemed to fit.
First time in a while that a thread about a phony has reached three pages.
A heartbreaking “vest” story with a good ending:
https://www.facebook.com/Macys-Give-Back-Meshachs-Vest-VEST-HAS-BEEN-returned-174112789628160/
Now this a a cool vest. Jungle stripe camo in Army shades of tan and green.
A bit pricy but just imagine the way your bling will look on this magnificent exciting vest.
https://www.allmybling.com/collections/vests/products/made-to-order-custom-vest-14
Now that is just too cool! And they’ll include Swarovski crystals, sequins, studs – whatever – at a modest extra per cent.
You could wear that the to shooting range, with all yer store-bought mettles attached, and then show up for the club’s chili feed later on.
Purchase Options: “Fully embellished”
Am morbidly curious just what the matching pad might be…
I looked at the American Legion Post 7 page and Les Brown’s photos are all over the photo section. I can’t tell, but he seems to be associated with the American Legion Riders, which also require documentation to join so I can’t tell from the photos if it is just an event or Les is a member.
However, the thought struck me – Are Elko, Carlin and Spring Creek Nevada so depleted of actual veterans that they need Les Brown to get out front? I mean, seriously, the guy’s mug is just about on every veteran celebration or commemorative service.
Les Brown IS the face of their events. He’s dug in like an Alabama tick.
Here, Les Brown was given a certificate of appreciation by the American Legion Post 7 for the National Veteran’s Awareness Ride.
Looks like every organization he’s involved with with bear the brown stain for a very long time…
Current list of organizations that take NO action to get the whole truth (or compel confession and APOLOGIES) from Les Brown.
POW*MIA Elko – Entire organization guilty.
Carlin Police Department.
American Legion Post 7
VFW Post 2350.
PLEASE – Add to this list if you know others, and CORRECT me if I am mistaken about the efforts of ANY of these organizations. Thank you.
Just when you think it can’t get any better,
Les just keeps showing up.
One would think seeing enough of ol’ Les would be tiring.
(Keep in mind, I was a filthy leg…)For those of you who were Airborne, for those of us who saw tears, blood, and sweat (pick your own order, alphabetically seemed to be the pattern…) got hot or get the fuck outta here.
Fuck les.
Fuck all who keep backing up his sorry ass.
There will be a reckoning.
(There are no active threats of violence on any who post here.
I am not a moderator on this site. I am not sure if I can even post this.)
I was also a “Leg”, but I came back in after a NINE YEAR break in service to deploy and did so. Unlike Les Brown, I have actually done Combat Missions in the Middle East/
FUCK Les Brown and his asshattery.
I’m on the road and tied up in court for the next three days, so here’s an invite to some of my TAH keyboard commandos:
Now that we have a unit of the California National Guard and a spin-up and OCONUS deployment to Kaiserslautern nailed down to a few weeks more or less, and a spin-down and deactivation nailed down to a few weeks more or less, I would bet that the local California newspapers covered the assembly, Pom, probably a few stories while they were away, and probably a big ceremony when they returned. Let’s see if Specialist Lester Kent Brown is named or photographed in any news coverage.
I’ll get on it later this week.
A few crumbs…
The 870th Military Police Company, with armories in Pittsburg and Placerville California was mobilized December 6, 1990 and was
validated at the Presidio of San Francisco.on December 21, 1990, the 150-soldier unit deployed to Germany and replaced the 66th MP Company that deployed to Southwest Asia. The company was assigned to the 21st Theater Army Area Command and was based at Karlsruhe, near the French border in the German state of Baden-Wurttemburg. The 870th provided security at the North Sea port of Bremerhaven and for ammunition trains in France. The unit returned to Travis Air Force Base in May 1991 traveling in two increments. The 870th was released from active duty at home station on May 16th and June 8, 1991.

Karlsruhe? The horror!
IMHO Les Brown is STILL quite eligible and worthy if the Les Brown Skidmark Cross award for unceasing asshattery and shitheaded lying about his past while hiding behind Children and Sockpuppets. Les Brown has still failed to step up and provide any kind of proof at all to counter what has already been said about him bringing shame to Les Brown, his family, those that have befriended him as well as those organizations he has become part of via his blatantly apparent falsehoods uttered by him about his past. Les Brown should be awarded The Skidmark Cross to be worn by him as long as he sports his lies and plays his games.
SECOND!!! With caveat that he must wear it in perpetuity. Lester Kent Brown (stain) may ‘fess up but he can never be come clean!
cocksucker!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s the weekend.
Les Brown needs quality time off to revvv the Harley, listen to the V-Twin, feel the vibrating handlebars, and suck on some exhaust fumes.
Oh, and a half a bottle of Old Grandad.
Tomorrow is Monday. Back to work.
If I’m correct this will be the 554th comment on this thread about Les Brown, I wonder how soon it will hit 600 comments about Les Brown and his lies?

What the fuck is that shit?

Clear enough.
Yeah, and Les Brown is listed as a “NonPres” with his little clique.
From a TAH Research Ninja, an article on Les Brown and his unit returning from Germany:
As you can see by the 7 June 1991 Newspaper article from Les’ hometown, Les was indeed in Karlsruhe Germany in support of Desert Storm/Desert Shield as part of the 870th MP Company… and you can read what he said he did.
Les Brown was never in the Sandbox in Kuwait, Iraq or Saudi Arabia.
So he was “in the theater” as oppossed to “in theater”.
HOLY BAT _ _ _ _ ! (Great catch, Steve.)
That’s a new TAH article right there.
Headline — Les Brown VFW Post 2035 & ELKO POW*MIA… returns home from Germany…
Bring on Les Brown PAGE 5 !!!
Hey Les. How’s that mugging the camera and getting your name in the newspaper thing workin out for ya?
For the love of God I hope Monday begins with a Fake SEAL posting. I’d even be happy with a Fake Green Beret or Ranger story tomorrow. This Les Brown Stain story has grown so many tentacles it’s become tedious and frustrating to the point of exhaustion.
Imagine how the locals feel. They must be forming a vigilante group as we speak.
How about a fake War Dog story or something?
Ah c’mon CCR, think of all the job security you’ve had, replacing the burned out wires and Prick 25s that the sh^t storm known as Phony Baloney Lester Kent Brown (stain) have toasted. I’ve kept the guns laid, targeting data dialed in, powder and shot rammed home, AND the lanyards pulled tight for the redeployment of the trifecta of the TAH Hemisphere of Insults, Alphabet Assault, and The Toilet Bowl of Taunts. You and the wire dogs have done an excellent job of keeping us talking about Lester Kent Brown, lying embellisher for days now. At the advice of Ex our shade tree is covered in empty Yuengling Bottles while we await the weapons free, fire at will release.
Point of notice here and another claim to FIRSTNESS. The story FIRST broke on Military Phony on 18 Jul 2019. I made the FIRST comment on their site time stamped 2346 hrs 07/18/2019. I was FIRST to point out the large time that the troops of TAH was going to have with Lester Kent Brown (stain) lying embellishing a$$. When the story FIRST broke on TAH the morning of July 19, 2019, I was the FIRST to call for the FIRST deployment of the HOI at time stamp 0832 hrs (am) July 19, 2019. I may be wrong but Lester Kent Brown (stain) is the FIRST lying embellishing phony soldier to surpass the comment count of the former lawer maintaining minus 6 feet AGL or the dAlLaSwINDbrEAkEr of past. I defer to my betters on counting for confirmation of that.
In closing, let me be the FIRST to tell you to enjoy the show, have another cold beer, here’s some hot wings and more popcorn, it ain’t over cause the fat lady is still warming up.
The Fat Lady has to sing??
So be it!!! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
It ain’t over til the fat lady goes home with the drunk Marine.
Settle down, junior. I finished off the rest of my bottle of Canadian Club 12, about 6 or 7 Yuengling Golden Pilsners, and I have my cratering charges and Bangalores ready. When the time comes, Les is going to have that uneasy sensation of the earth collapsing under his feet. Courtesy, of course, of the Engineers!
There’s enough new frag incoming for a
Les Brown Page 5.
Can’t wait!
I (now) personally want to see him publicly ejected from the VFW, and VFW Post 2015 in Elko, for blatantly fraudulent membership.
That part, touting his VFW creds in Carson City, along with the 4 ribbon DS/DS patch,
really rubs me raw.
(correction) VFW Post 2035 in Elko, Nevada
I’ll tell you what rubs me raw. That he is wearing all the badges, dui, and patches that I had to earn, based on real rather than imagined service. Those of us that have legit Ranger tabs are particularly pissed because Ranger school was the most difficult, challenging thing we did in our military service. One gets a CIB because one is an infantryman in a combat zone and the bad guys shoot at you or your unit. For most of us it is an “I was there” and shit happened event. One of my Ranger classmates who had done a tour in the RVN said about doing Ranger School again: “I’d rather do another tour in Vietnam instead.”
I getcha. Really.
Les Brown has successfully pissed off about 4 different segments of veterans nationwide,
ALL with honorable and significant qualifications and service.
That’s a true feat, matched by few!
(censored)
I don’t know, didn’t Colt Bulot come close with his asshattery?
HAS Les Brown even uttered a peep for himself yet, or is he still hiding behind Sock Puppets and Kids? I was wondering as to what his next move will be…
Still hiding. Probably will find a way to sneak out of town some rainy night, under cover of thunder and lightning coordinated with the snort of his Harley (which one can only hope will run out of gas before he gets very far).

YESTERDAY,
Saturday August 4, 2019
on the ELKO POW*MIA Facebook page?
Hmmmmmm.
https://www.facebook.com/Elko-POWMIA-Awareness-Association-106848159338009/
(correction)
Saturday, August 3, 2019.
Yes he has. He says some one reported to the Carlin Chief of police that he had committed “plagiarism” and some other offense. We had all agreed that it is unlikely he could have plagiarized anyone since he didn’t even graduate from high school.
I’m sure the question refers to SINCE July 26, the day of the Elko Daily Free Press article (“Under Fire” (plagiarism)), and the subsequent same day TAH Page 3 (also “Under Fire”) on Les Brown.
No peeps since Page 3 and Page 4 (this page).
Page 5 will be a classic.
Get your marshmallow Peeps.
OKAY FOLKS, this comment makes #588 if I’m correct, so are there any bets AS TO the next move that Les Brown makes? I’m legitimately eligible to join the VFW myself, but I’ve yet to come across a Post where a some of the Members DID’T piss me off telling me that I didn’t do shit in the ME compared to what they did in…
They said the same things about in-country Vietnam vets, so don’t think it’s just you, API.
They’re all “special” because Normandy-Japs-Norks-whatever. I’m not sure I’d want to be part of an organization so self-involved and “precious” about its “stuff”.
I feel you. I walked into a Legion post bar in Pennsylvania, asked if a veteran (non member) could buy a beer and was basically told to fuck off.
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board laws
for private clubs that serve alcohol (including VFW and American Legion Posts) are clear, and strictly enforced:
– Walk ins can NOT be served.
– ONLY members, and approved guests who are signed in by a member.
– The MEMBER must make the purchase for the guest.
Any VFW or Legion (in PA) who violates this can LOSE their PA Liquor License, and risk losing their local Post.
Helpful HINT – If you want to get served on your 1st visit to a VFW or Legion, ask about JOINING, and a helpful Post member will likely sign you in as an approved guest. Even then, the member must buy your 1st beer for you.
TRY AGAIN… But this time, with a better attitude towards the veterans organization that serves veterans and the community, and a better understanding of the laws they MUST follow.
Good luck.
Sub note – Lots of thirsty folks come waltzing into Legions and VFWs looking for a quench.
Non-veterans, too.
And (ready?)
Stolen Valor phonies!!
First off, I didn’t walk in with attitude. I asked politely, showed my ID, and was told to get bent. I mentioned that I was from out of state and the folks there didn’t say word one about the state laws, just told me to split. The problem wasn’t me.
I understand.
I believe you, too.
American Legion Posts and VFW Posts vary. Vary widely.
Some are great, many are good or ok, and some suck.
Don’t judge an entire organization on 1 sucky canteen or bar.
(Curly, The Three Stooges – “If at first you don’t succeed, keep on sucking ’til you do suck seed.”)
🙂
PA liquor laws are backassward and suck.
I’ve said this before…Jackie Coogan, the actor who played Uncle Fester was a decorated fighter pilot during WWII, serving in Burma flying combat missions in support of the Chindits. In other words, old Les isn’t worth the skid mark on Jackie Coogan’s crusty old drawers!
One thing you can say for Uncle Lester, he is sure letting his shitbaggery fester.
Uncle Mo…
Not meant to disrespect Mr. Coogan or his family or friends. My comment was intended to make laughs of ol’ Les Moore, who is somewhere in the Nevada desert trying to dig up some guts.
Peace to Jackie Coogan, and family.
Flew missions over Burma, in WW2?
Better than my sorry ass…
Dude,
No worries. It’s just that someone pointed out that Dennis Chevalier looked like Uncle Fester a while back and I pointed out the Jackie Coogan story back then. Credit where credit is due, right?
Oh, and keeping with the celebrity thing…Bill Bixby and Don Cornelius were both Marines. And Lee Marvin is buried at Arlington with a simple government issued headstone that says “Lee Marvin, PFC USMC”. Far better men than Lester Kent “Mr. Brown Stain” Brown.
I respond to those who do this with The Three Stooges, 1st in Hollywood to openly mock Hitler (You Nazty Spy, 1940), made several classic World War II shorts, and donated time and money to west coast USO and veterans events.
“That’s an insult, to The Three Stooges!”
lol
Les voy a decir algo…este fulano de tal del nombre “Les Brown” o “Menos Moreno” se puede sacarse a la chingada!

Fuck Lester Kent Brown
OVER 600 comments on this Lester Kent Brown thread alone, I wonder if Lester will let it fester to 700?
Les Brown is all about achievement, real or fake, so I am sure he his holding out for over 700 comments.
Les Brown should be awarded the Master TAH Phony badge. He earned it. It would look good on his vest.
The TAH Phony badge has yet to be created, but it think the award criteria would be something like parachutists badge in concept:
Basic Phony badge- being exposed as a phony
Senior badge- exposed, denial, 500 TAH comments
Master Phony badge- exposed, denial, sock puppets, 1,000 TAH comments
I am not creative enough to come up with a design for the badge, but the think a wagging tongue could be part of the motif.
We should offer to donate XXX amount of money DIRECTLY to the POW*MIA effort if Les mailed us his vest and promised to never wear it with the hyped up bling on it again.
Lester Kent Brown is well on his way to earning the Master Phony Badge w/Brown Stain (Mustard Stain).
The total comments count for all five separate postings currently stands at 1,548 and still rising.
How about a dung beetle, Mustang Major?
That works; however, the award runs the risk of insulting dung beetles.
Okay, then how about the ball of dung without the beetle?
Maybe crossed underwear skid marks on a white background in an asterisk pattern?
So far we have over 200 comments talking about how many comments there are!
A NEW RECORD!
We haven’t had a good chew toy in a while…
Well, Kyle Barwan (remember him? the pencil-necked geek who wanted to wear a uniform) keeps getting arrested and has a pile of stolen valor charges against him.
https://www.facebook.com/polkcountysheriff/videos/sheriff-judd-giving-details-about-the-arrest-of-26-yr-old-kyle-barwan-who-has-be/10154683625251818/
Un believable that this turd is still at it.
Frankie Cee was all over him.
What happened to Frankie? Been awhile.
I’ve been wondering that also. Us geezer dickweeds gotta keep our eyes on each other.
Been wondering about you too, sj. Good to see ya back.
Hey Hondo. Lurking mainly. I miss Chevy, Round, Frank….plus RV a lot.
He’s fine. He’s busy all the time.
I see Frankie On Book of Face just about every day…
He posted something about Kyle a while back but I couldn’t find it.
Kyle just proves that some of these ass-clowns just refuse to give up their fakery no matter the adverse consequences. I am sure there is a bevy of mind-readers out there that can explain what is wrong with this turd’s bird brain.
Ya know, all the photos of Lester have one common theme…POW/MIA. I like seeing the logo on an occasional passing vehicle or a flag in someones yard. The recent law requiring the flag be flown on govt buildings, especially Post Offices sits well with me.
But this guy is wrapping himself in beyond respect and his wardrobe could use some adjusment.
The white pullover with the logo on the sleeves is the last straw for me.
Boxers or briefs Les? Bet they have the logo up front.
Sheets and pillow cases Les? Yeah, the percale ones you
had made special.
White Harley? Perfect for that black logo while still
hinting at the old motorcycle cop theme.
You are a wanna be Les. Not even full time cop capable even though you sport the MP MOS. What does it take to be a Nevada LEO? Your MOS should be a shoe in but you shit on that long ago. “reserve officer” Not even a Mall cop in a small town where everyone knows and has known for a long time that you are full of shit.
Stop pimping the POW/MIA issue!
Les “Shit” Brown… Douchebag of the Year
They were going to call him Les “No Shit” Brown but the name you gave him seemed more appropriate.
ELKO POW*MIA sent a NEW photo to NL POW*MIA National.
NL POW*MIA National just put the new photo on Facebook.
Comments with links to Les Brown and valorguardians appeared on the NL Facebook page within minutes.
Keep it goin’ guys.

Just spot-checked the National POW/MIA Book of the Face, and all comments for that post have been deleted.
Thanks, Claw. I see that now, too.
Are we surprised?
NL POW*MIA National protecting their own Stolen Valor phony Les Brown in Elko?
I’ve got the screenshot with comments.
(But I do not know how to upload it here.)
Give credit to a few Facebook users for keeping after Les Brown in his own backyard(s).
On the same Facebook page,
NL POW*MIA has now just posted:
[The National League of POW/MIA has updated our Social Media Posting Guidelines. Please find the new policy at *****]
The Les Brown Effect… strikes again.
Guess that as long as a phony/faker is working on their issue, that is okey dokey with the national org and its leaders. You know, Lester could up his game if he started claiming to be a POW of Desert Storm. But claiming to he was held by the Cong in the Viet of the Nam would be better. In Desert Storm I think their were about four POW’s, plus some hostages; so that may be a bridge too far for our boy Brown Stain Brown.
MORE new comments on Les Brown.
Let’s see if those people pass the Guidelines test, or if those comments get deleted, too.
It’s interesting how the local law enforcement puts up with Les Brown and his claims in spite of the evidence to the contrary. I wonder how well a fake cop would fare with them? I suspect that they wouldn’t roll over like the do for Les Brown.
Heh, He even has his own Sherwin Williams color:
https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6040-less-brown#/6040/?s=coordinatingColors&p=PS0
How fitting!
That color reminds me of the outer shell on a cuterebra.
Les, the “Brown Stain”, is a human version of one of those./s
Are you saying Less has a cute bra?
Not surprising that maybe Les’ nickname is “bitch tits”
please give a spew alert…cleaning coffee off the desk!
I’m still trying to figure out how Les Brown sees himself as a victim in all of this. Perhaps it is something like this… [PARODY] “There I was, minding my own business and wearing what medals I choose to wear. I’m not hurting anybody and it helps the cause. People want leadership and if they believe they are being led by a Special Forces Master Parachutist MSG combat-experienced Ranger, then I”m all about making them feel good about themselves. Then, along came some people from a few hack websites that accused me of Stolen Valor based on a few documents they obtained. Well, a few documents don’t define my military career. There was much more that I imagined that isn’t captured in those documents. I’ll tell them that most of my records are classified and that’ll keep ’em off my back for a while. Those people probably don’t have a life. They have not imagined the things I’ve imagined. They probably don’t have better things to do than count stripes on a rank emblem or check the accuracy of someone else’s combat experience. They are saying things about our vests and criticizing the medals we didn’t earn. Well, everybody wears unearned medals. The CIB and MSG rank was given to me and I was asked to wear it with honor in memory of those who cannot wear a vest in front of large crowds of people. In honor of those who cannot ride a motorcycle around town as if to proclaim “Look at me!” They can’t do that and I can. I ride in honor of them. Why are the hack website people bringing up the camo uniform I wear to parades and for speaking in front of the schoolchildren? If I give a look of authority, it raises the bar for everyone around me. What could be wrong with that? We’ll huddle and have endless meetings – we’ll build an entire policy on the wearing of the vests. This will help when we face scrutiny. We can whip out the “It’s been decided” policy on vests. We will integrate… Read more »
“we’ll I’ll just flash that retired military ID card”
Be funny as hell if a Home Depot clerk were to confiscate it and call security.
Hey Les! Get a load of this guy:
https://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=87504
Yeah, but it isn’t an ID card. It’s a badge, which does not qualify as an ID card.
This just posted around 17 hours ago on The American Legion Reed-Gregory Post 7 Book of Face page.
“The American Legion Reed-Gregory Post 7

Had to ban Eric Lindinger from this page. Not going to allow him to use this page to slander Les Brown and to further his agenda”
https://www.facebook.com/bannhorton3/posts/1454820781359650
Slander is speech, libel is written.
Wear it like a badge of honor, Eric. You got banned for speaking an uncomfortable truth.
I saw the last 2 comments on that Post 7 Facebook page, before they were deleted:
1 – Link to the 1991 “Final Guard group returns home” (from Germany) newspaper article, with Les Brown’s quote, on valorguardians.
2 – Link to this DuckDuckGo search, below.
[elko pow*mia les brown]
Q – Is there an agenda with an internet search engine?
Dry heat evaporated the sweat in the desert of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. I sense a ton of sweat (not evaporating) in the desert of Elko, Nevada.
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=elko+pow*mia+les+brown&t=hi&ia=web
Observation – Innocent internet searches on Google and DuckDuckGo for any information about the Elko POW*MIA and/or Les Brown….
are now clearly returning results lists
that are not too kind to the Elko POW*MIA.
Or Les Brown.
Same search, this time on Google.
[elko pow*mia les brown]

Good. Fuck them for running and hiding and not addressing the situation.
Circle the wagons should be included on thew TAH Bingo Card but I’m torn, because I don’t want to replace any of the current squares….
It comes under a variety of areas already covered. “Sockpuppet etc”
https://imgur.com/nGqi3aR
This is now damaging to the organization,
Elko POW*MIA Awareness Association.
A simple internet search of ONLY the organization, and the results lead to the original Military Phonies story which is 3rd (THIRD) on the list.
The Elko Daily Free Press “Local head of POW/MIA under fire” story is 4th.
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=elko+pow*mia+&t=hi&ia=web
Including “FREE” I count 9 squares covered, but, no brown stain bingo for Lester Brown, yet.
What these purported “veterans” don’t seem to understand is that it is not slander/libel if the statements are true.
Several Facebook war veteran keyboard warriors are out there putting the
Ten Finger Death Punch
on various Facebook pages inside and outside Elko, Nevada,
and doing so under their real names.
Obviously, not only is the confidence high, but the supporting internet evidence is air tight against Les Brown.
As it always is. As it always should be.
Lester Kent Brown Status Update:
19 July – Basic Phony Badge awarded.
25 July – Senior Phony Badge awarded for 500 Comments.
31 July – Master Phony Badge awarded for 1,000 Comments.
(Note – Brown Stain Clusters are awarded at the additional 200 comment increment level.)
01 Aug – 1st Brown Stain Cluster awarded.
03 Aug – 2nd Brown Stain Cluster awarded.
At present time, only eight (8) more comments (to attain 1,600 total) are needed to award Lester Kent Brown the 3d Brown Stain Cluster for his highly coveted and much sought after Master Phony Badge.
End of report.
He still has to come up to the level of the dead lawer who pretended to be a pilot – or was that dead pilot who pretended to be a lawer?
Trust me, the human lawn dart wasn’t any good at either activity.
Additional Instructions pertaining to the Status Report on Lester Kent Brown:
Substituting the term “Fecal Smudge” for “Brown Stain Cluster” is authorized.
Just use the SF s1798, and write in, “pizza oven” where it says, “machine gun”.
The turd is still hanging in there
That’s funny ‘shit’ right there, O-4E.
1991 GI issue dark brown underwear
sure would come in handy in Elko right about now.
I’ve still got 2 brown 1991 t-shirts,
and a few brown 1991 towels,
with my last name in black marker still there.
But these won’t help Elko much,
except for soon sought after crying towels.
So he’s a Klingon?
Do we need to call in Capt Kirk?
How about a spew alert. Goddamn, Sarge…
It’s life Les, but not as you know it…
A deployment of the SECONDED and AYED of the Trifecta of the TAH Hemisphere of Insults, The Alphabet Assault, and the Toilet Bowl of Taunts would get us most of the way to the 1600 count that we need. Lester Kent Brown (stain) is so very deserving of this redeployment in that he is a lying, embellishing POS.
The guns are still laid, the powder & shot is rammed home, and the lanyards are still banjo string tight.
Weapons Free? Chip? Ex?
Working on the Staff Summary Sheet…something us old HQ weenies know all about.

Can we call him “Doo-Doo Browm”?
I’m wondering if we shouldn’t start digging into the other organizations that are defending Les “Brown Stain” Brown. Considering the American Legion banned Eric Lindinger for slander, and refuses to see the truth, and I just saw (and can’t find again, for the life of me) where one of those pages called Les “Brown Stain” Brown a “good and honorable” man. I might be mistaken, but I’m fairly certain this is one of the largest circling of the wagons TAH has seen, at least in recent years. I’m pretty well convinced there’s some other rats in high places around those other orgs, too.
I’d bet, at the first sign of flooding like that, the swarm of rats fleeing would blot out the ground for a good five miles in any direction around Elko.
I recommend repeat deployments of the CoI at that time, so as to catch as many of the rats as possible under sustained bombardment. We grunts will clean up what’s left of the mess when the bombardment ceases.
Digging begins with VFW Post 2350 in Elko.
VFW has bylaws and procedures, that take time.
VFW Posts, as a rule, should NOT discuss VFW or VFW member business to the public. That is what monthly VFW Post meetings are for.
However, plenty of effort by card carrying VFW members around the country, tried to contact with anyone from VFW Post 2350, and got ZERO response (to my knowledge).
That said,
it is 100% clear that Les Brown
is a FRAUDULENT member of the VFW,
and he was approved to join by VFW Post 2350.
It will take time, but it should be a VFW Post 2350 task and matter to resolve. IF that fails, a VFW Department (of Nevada) matter to resolve, and then a VFW National matter to resolve, IF the VFW Department of Nevada fails at their task.
The task, is to determine if Les Brown lied, tricked, and falsified his way into joining VFW Post 2350,
OR,
IF VFW Post 2350 was complicit in guiding him in to join, WITHOUT viewing and verifying VFW eligibility.
Meaning, a VFW qualifying Campaign Medal,
(Les Brown has NO Southwest Asia Campaign Medal)
OR other VFW qualifying overseas military service.
By name definition,
Veterans. Of Foreign. Wars.
(I accidentally clicked on “report comment”. Sorry.)
What the local VFW does with this will be telling. They’re the only ones not completely in lockstep with Brown Stain regarding his defense.
We can but hope that the VFW does their due diligence now, and cleans up the mess they saddles themselves with. Preferably, that comes with a hefty apology to their membership for failing to do said due diligence in the first place.
When I’m off work, I’m going to poke around the American Legion and NL POW*MIA a bit. I’m rather curious as to who their leadership is, and if there’s any signs of further shenanigans afoot with awards there. This circling of the wagons has my “Birds of a feather flock together” alarm ringing.
American Legion Post 7’s website is defunct, and returns a 404 error. What pictures I’ve seen on their Facebook doesn’t suggest magic vests in large quantities. Very few shots of hats, but what I’m seeing is more the usual Legion Post bling pins than anything else. I’d wager there’s a decent chance their being hoodwinked, but they probably aren’t actively complicit.
NL POW*MIA lists the Elko POW*MIA Awareness group as supporters/partners. Looks like their stuff is run on a more regional scale. Think it might be better if someone other than myself were to dig into that. I’ll admit to a significant lack of experience in opening cans of worms that big.
At least that’s some small comfort. I’m seriously hoping this is just Les being a lying shitbird. Sucks that he’d have fooled and scammed so many people, but at least it wouldn’t be a giant mess of posing or stolen valor.
*they’re. Damnit, autocorrect.
Not defending the Brown Stain in any way, shape or form, but the task to determine how he became a member of Post 2350 is impossible to complete without knowing whether he is currently a voting “regular” member or just an “associate” member.
Someone has to sponsor him. I sponsored my mom & dad as affiliate/associate members since it was the only bae in town where you can smoke and have a beer in their little Arizona town.
By Les Brown’s own words (on the internet)…
Les Brown is a member of the VFW, and (during 2009, likely more) held a VFW Department (state) level position (VFW state POW*MIA Chairman) at the VFW Department of Nevada,
stated publicly before the Nevada State Assembly (House) in Carson City, Nevada, in 2009.
Also, the current VFW Post 2350 is a Past Department (of Nevada State) Commander, and a current VFW National appointee.
Pretty sure that precludes him being an associate member. Not sure, though. I’d have to look into VFW bylaws and all that.
Maybe someone else here knows more about VFW requirements to hold a position within the VFW.
I am laying out the 2 VFW possibilities here.
1 – Les Brown fooled everyone in the VFW for years by lying and falsifying his qualifications and eligibility to join VFW Post 2350.
2 – VFW Post 2350 past collusion to approve VFW membership to Les Brown, knowing he is not qualified nor eligible.
It better be #1, Les Brown lied,
because any possible past collusion by Post 2350 over Les Brown’s eligibility now suggests the possibility of NEW collusion up to the Department (State) level, and there will be plenty of motive for CYA, smoke screen, and attempts to cover up the original collusion.
Option 2 opens up another, rather messy, can of worms. I hope we don’t get into something that messy. Crap like that casts veterans, and veteran organizations in a bad light. Someone has to keep them honest, though.
We should have Robert Meuller conduct a Special Investigation into VFW collusion, because … well … he’s an experienced collusion investigator and he’s not doing anything else right now.
Yes, the Mule-ear would be perfect to look into this. He wouldn’t have to do much reading (reading is not his forte), cuz our hero’s available documents are limited to two DD-214’s and four pages from the FOIA response. Maybe he could bring in Petie Stroczk to interview Lester, cuz I hear he is only presently occupied with his bogus wrongful discharge lawsuit. Although, there may be some serious questions regarding those in these vet orgs who are covering for Kid Brown Stain, the Terror of Bad Tolz.
(correction)
Also, current VFW Post 2350 Post Commander Gil Hernandez, a highly honored and respected Vietnam Veteran,
is a Past Department of Nevada Commander,
and a current VFW National appointee.
If I were in charge of that VFW, Claw, I wouldn’t want a lying, posing slimeball associated with my organization in any way, regardless of membership status.
Also does not release them from their responsibility, the one they acknowledge in their requirements to join, to vet each and every person to ensure they served and their story adds up.
I feel like a lot of VFWs just glance at the 214, make sure it’s “real” (the right form), then take the person at their word for what they did and where.
There is a terminology problem here,
and it easily confuses many.
There is NO SUCH THING as an associate member of the VFW.
VFW has only (eligible) Post Members, and approved national Members-At-Large (with no Post affiliation).
VFW Bars and Canteens may have social members of the VFW Post’s bar or canteen, who pay Home Association dues to drink and gamble at the bar just as VFW Post members do.
The social members are members of the bar or canteen Home Association,
and are NOT members (in any way) of the VFW.
I hope this helps many of you.
Yep. You’re right. I misspoke when I used the term associate instead of canteen bar-fly./s
Thanks for the clarification, marinedad61.
I’ll be the first to admit I have little knowledge of the VFWs inner workings. The one time I went to the local VFW, I was rather off put by the general standoffishness of the few people in there. Might have to go back and see if some of the old guard have given way to a few more of us younger guys.
In the meantime, I haunt places like here, where people actually talk to you instead of looking down their noses because their war was worse, or you’re young, or crap like that.
Further,
It is serious taboo for any “social member” of a VFW Post’s bar or canteen Home Association (whether veteran or civilian) to go around saying things like
“I belong to the VFW” or
“I’m a VFW member”.
False claims of being a “Member of the VFW” or “VFW Member” by a Home Association canteen social member typically gets that person removed from the Home Association, and barred from the canteen.
we have to be honest here. Fakers running VFW posts and holding higher levels of office within the VFW are not new to us.
The VFW has a membership problem which should not exist given the sheer numbers deployed to OEF/OIF. The VFW has not done a good job of growing its base, and/or providing the environment these new VFW potential members desire to associate with.
That problem gives way to a reality in which numbers are king, and looking away can be tempting–particularly in small towns or small posts.
I don’t think this is a case in which the post got “fooled”. I am willing to bet this is a case in which the post set conditions to claim being fooled.
Checking actual records is supposed to be job #1 for the adjutant…but so many times the need for paying members is overwhelming.
While I understand the problem that both VFW and AL find themselves confronting, the answer will never be to “give away” the memberships to just anyone.
There is simply no way to whitewash the VFW’s own role here.
All they’d need to do is remind their current membership that our war is different than their war. Not easier, or harder, just different.
I’m a 31 y/o OIF vet. I’m the young blood they need so desperately, but my local post, like so many others mentioned here, is just a bunch of old timers who smoke and drink constantly, and want nothing to do with us younger generations who are looking for places to belong.
In their defense, though, my generation is rather more likely to hop on the internet than anything, mainly because they seem to have forgotten the idea of human contact and social interaction.
Instead, the VFW would rather do the “easy” thing and fudge their way to success. The VFW and Legion have a widespread culture problem, and one that they’re just not willing to combat. Instead, they pull random shitbags in, then go all CYA the moment word gets out. It’s disgusting how little effort they seem to put into verifying the very thing they’re supposed to support: the American serviceman.
You Sir are wise beyond your years. I’m an OIF/OEF veteran yet much older than you as I had a long break in service after those “Desert Storm times.” However, like you and your generation, I have no desire to join either the AL or VFW. As a kid my USAF retired father often brought me to the AL and VFW halls however, neither organization appeals to me as a Army retiree who neither drinks or smokes.
I heed Will Rogers’ advice to sit on the curb and clap as the parade heroes go by because somebody’s got to do it.
It was great sitting at the bar with my dad and his war buddies.
I never felt quite their equal even though they considered me their peer.
They have all passed and I do not see myself
sitting there without them.
A P-47 pilot, B-17 gunner, Pearl Harbor
survivor and Doolittle raid sailor walk
into a VFW bar…
They are sorely missed and not forgotten.
A few years ago, I was getting mail from the VFW and AL asking for my membership. I sent them a reply back in their envelope asking that the leadership send me a letter or e-mail explaining to me what they are doing to clear out their ranks of those that are (1) not eligible to join or (2) have engaged in Stolen Valor. Never got a reply from either organization.
Both groups seem to be more concerned about the $$$ from membership that actually vetting applicants (I even got a letter from the WA State commander of the DAV that stated that his organization was more concerned about memberships that taking care of people).
I know that Jonn and a few others have stated in the past that Veterans Organizations are there to represent us in DC, but I’ve been skeptical for years since the VFW PAC nonsense back in ’10:
https://www.vfw.org/media-and-events/latest-releases/archives/2010/10/vfw-leaders-act-on-pac-endorsements
Show me a vets organization that is taking a stand against SV, and I’ll join it in a heartbeat.
Hindsight being 20/20, I now regret going through the WA DAV to help me get the ball rolling on my VA claims. Granted, younger, dumber me just assumed the DAV, VFW, etc cared about SV, and weren’t about to let it happen on their watch.
How naive I was back then.
Damn glad I didn’t sign up with them as a member back then.
The biggest thing that gets me is how do you tout being pro-vets, taking care of vets, etc, when you’re squandering the resources for said vets on posers and thieves, and doing so willingly to inflate membership numbers and your feel-good numbers of how many people you’ve helped. It’s complete bullshit that they turn blind eyes to falsified information, just to inflate their sense of worth, at the expense of people who legitimately need the help.
The VFW at home…been a member since 1991 but never felt welcome until the OIF vets staged a revolt and “took over” the post.
Turns out, more than half of the “members” could not provide any proof of any service at all….I was so not surprised…
Ret_25X – If memory serves I think you’re a retired Army SGM so there probably is little in this world that surprises you. But, I have to admit that I’m stunned that over half the members of your post couldn’t provide proof of any service at all. I would expect maybe a handful or 10% of the membership might’ve produced fraudulent documents but over half is incredible, at least to me.
I hope your VFW post has improved with the OIF veterans’ “coup.”
“I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.” ~ Groucho Marx
Exactly.
VFW Post 2350 just DELETED all the new comments on their Facebook page.
They are obviously aware of all the new attention foisted upon their nationally known comrade Les Brown.
Will the VFW do the right VFW thing now?
Once again, it appears to be Elko Desert Sand Storm Ostrich behavior. No positive reply or communication, no attempt to inform or assure anyone publicly that these multiple issues surrounding Les Brown are going to be properly looked at.
Lookin’ not too good.
VFW Post 2350, that is.
OF COURSE they did.
They’re going to have a hard time claiming they were fooled, with all the evidence they’ve chosen to ignore.
What’s the count now? Three veterans organizations, Brown Stain’s organization, and the Carlin PD that have all chosen to be willfully complicit in Les’ “little” lie?
These guys disgust me.
I remember the 1 comment VFW Post 2350 deleted. (Paraphrase)
Phony Vietnam “Times” Veterans cause anger to many actual Vietnam Veterans.
Phony Desert Storm “Times” Veterans (like Les Brown) cause anger to many VFW eligible Persian Gulf War Veterans.

Did VFW Post 2350 click “Like”? Reply? Ask a question?
No. Delete. Poof.
Shame on VFW Post 2350.
Les “Brown Stain” Brown and VFW Post 2350 are going BALLS DEEP in DORKING THE SQUEAKHOLE.
The VFW “membership problem” should be something the VFW can end.
After 27 years of declining membership, from 1991, VFW had a national net gain of 25,000 members in 2018.
If there is also an increase in 2019, this likely signifies the bottoming out of total membership (RIP comrades),
and a long and healthy future for the VFW.
But… how many actually meet the criteria for membership? We’ve seen it numerous times on this blog where the local VFW doesn’t do the heavy work and actually vet applicants.
Yes. IMHO, it’s a poor decision by VFW National to have local Post level approvals go unchecked or unverified by state and/or national. There should be a mandatory double check, a more thorough verification of eligibility, either by state or national.
I thought about joining the VFW a mumber of times over the years. After reading this site for the past eight years, I am glad I didn’t join, since I now know many of its Posts are full of fakers.
If it helps.. the % is small or 0 at many posts,
and many VFW members and posts are on the constant lookout to “Spot the Phony.”
Try another VFW Post. They vary widely.
Finding 1 or 2 dumpholes is unpleasant, but it doesn’t mean the entire VFW is that way.
Something new is happening here!

VFW Post 2350 just DELETED all the new comments on their Facebook page.
Ugh.
666 comments on this thread makes a grand total of 1,600 comments for Lester Kent Brown to be awarded the 3d Brown Stain Cluster/Fecal Smudge for his highly coveted and much sought after Master Phony Badge.
The Miscreant Dickweeds/Weedettes of TAH offer up a toast to you, Uncle Lester Fester./s
The Church Lady is going to be excited that the Brown Stain Kid of Carlin has the number 666 connected to his worldly existence. This is a clear indication of what is in store for Lester in the afterlife in the realms below.
Think Les will be the Grand Marshall at this year’s Elko Veteran’s Day Parade?
Doubtful, as too many good people in Elko would object. But, he would be perfect for the Posers Day Parade.
yes…and he will be invited back to speak on Veteran’s Day as well….
The people of Elko would rather be complicit than correct here.
I think this will be a case similar to Roger Gagnon and the ‘VA is Lying’ billboard people.
Roger was their spokesman, appearing on national news until TAH outed him as a deserter with brig time. The ‘VA is Lying’ group came out and said they would stand behind him until the end of time and other noble statements.
TAH and others kept asking the question “Is he the best person to be the face of your organization?”
But, a couple of weeks later Roger was outed over some back door reason. They stated it was not related to his outing as a deserter with brig time.
That’s the way it works. They will pat him on the back and pledge their support but when it comes down to speaking in front of a crowd, they will do better with another choice. I’m betting the school visits are a thing of the past as well but certainly not as a Desert Storm combat veteran in uniform.
“I’m betting the school visits are a thing of the past as well but certainly not as a Desert Storm combat veteran in uniform”
He can always learn stand up or make funny things with balloons.
Looking up Les Brown a year from now, summer 2020, will be interesting.
The before, and the after (effect).
Bookmarked.

06 Aug 19 – 3d Fecal Smudge awarded to Les’ Master Phony Badge for achieving 1,600 comments.
At present time, 1,655 total comments have been tendered regarding the Stolen Valor of Lester Kent Brown.
And those who stand in front of him (not behind him) are still in denial that anything could possibly be wrong.
Claw,
Can we have the official rules for this posted somewhere on site? Perhaps a Score Tab or something? Perhaps post a copy of the TAH Wiz Wheel as well?
Sarge, I’m not an admin, just a common rank and file Miscreant Dickweed commenter, so I can’t help you out on getting any “rules” posted here on the site. These kind of things are unique to all the postings for the Brown Stain of Elko./smile
As far as the Whiz Wheel®™, that is just a standard issue KAL-55B and a Scrabble Tile scoresheet.
TNX for the stats Claw. Just balancing a checkbook is getting difficult for the older dickweeds among us.
It’s nice to know someone who can come up with the NSN for anything the military needs or not.
I envision your backyard encompassing hundreds
of acres covered with Quanset huts full of everything “authorized” for immediate supply.
Davis-Monthan checks with you first.
Hell, those hundreds of acres are just for the stuff that are carried “On The Property Books.”
You should see all the stuff I’ve managed to collect over the years that were “Found On Post” and only I know where it all is and the exact Quantities On Hand./smile
I have P38s from the stately Claw mansion. Even the Mess Sgt version. Proud possessions
Just keep in mind that your next stopover at the Stately Claw Manor will include more of those (if wanted), as well as genuine mess hall coffee cups and 10 ounce drink tumblers as parting gifts.
All parting gifts are RV ready, no modifications needed./smile
Next year is in the TPFDL for the falls.
I wonder how soon we’ll see 800 comments on this thread about Les Brown?
73 to go API!
Might be less if I can ever finish the Staff Summary Sheet.
Scraggly sodding scrunt! A Lester Kent Brown (stain) selfie caption.
I wonder how soon we will see Les in daylight.
We saw Les on Saturday, August 3.
Well, a photo of Les.
Elko POW*MIA event.
Is that *#%$!@*^! Desert Storm Veteran
4 ribbon patch STILL on his vest?

The 50th anniversary of Woodstock is coming up next week. (Aug 15-18 1969) I wonder if Les Brown is polishing up any stories on his Woodstock experiences?
I do not think peace and love will be the theme
this time around.
“If you remember Woodstock you weren’t there.”
I was living in Bangkok at the time; a high school student. I don’t remember Woodstock, but I do remember attending a Ravi Shankar concert with my girlfriend.
I also remember getting laid.
I was shopping at the Kaiserslautern PX.
Long before Les was there.
I wonder if Les’ MP platoon provided additional K-town PX security during those “Desert Storm times?”
Cool sticker:

I’m too young to have served during those “Vietnam times” but I love that bumper sticker!
Les Brown, the zero still pretending to be a hero!
Les Brown – Big hat, no cattle.
No hat, no cattle.

The Valor Felcher
Les Brown is a legend or myth.
Hero of the Humboldt
I don’t care what anyone says…Les Brown is not
guilty of rectitude. He is not like that and any
of you dickweeds that think so should just STFU.
I am not familiar with that word. Does one take rectitude rectally? Inquiring minds need to know Les may have acquired it.
That last sentence is missing the word “how.”
FOR THE CIVILIANS READING THESE PAGES…..
US Military Veterans do not normally mock other US Veterans for their overseas service.
Just the opposite, actually.
Many veterans served in Japan, Germany, and many other places around the world.
It’s honorable service, and honorable service is to be respected and commended.
And it is.
War or not, danger or not, cold or hot,
there is LOT of mutual respect out there among veterans, who did not know where they were being sent, went where they were told, endured the hardships, braved the risks, and did good and honorable duty and service for their nation.
—————————-
However, when a veteran who served in Germany (honorably)
spends the last 10 years talking about “combat”,
convinces everyone around him that he is a war veteran,
and wears the Desert Storm Veteran patches with 3 ribbons HE NEVER EARNED, for the war campaign and 2 countries (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) that he NEVER SAW…..
That veteran who served honorably in Germany just threw away all the goodwill and mutual respect he had among other honorable veterans,
and certainly among ALL war veterans.
Lester Kent Brown.
Honorable service overseas in Germany 1991.
Dishonorable behavior 2009-2019.
Don’t forget Les Brown’s claims (claims demonstrated by wearing on his leather biker vest) of being awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and a parachutist badge. And don’t forget his claim of 20 year’s military service and achieving the rank of master sergeant. None of which is supported by official military records from the government.
And Ranger Tab and Special Forces Tab
Not only on his biker vest but also sewn onto an official US Army BDU uniform
Also the Ranger Tab and Special Forces Tab sewn onto an official US Army BDU uniform
The Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) patch sewn onto Les Brown’s US Army woodland BDU uniform (and worn to parades, memorial services, and schools) is the clincher under the
Stolen Valor Act of 2013.
What is the latest regarding the National/State VFW looking into their Local escapades?
Any support from Nevada AG regarding stolen valor?
Inquiring minds wanna know !
