Emily Miller: MPD won’t arrest Gregory
Emily Miller, our favorite Washington Times reporter in regards to guns, reports that the DC Metropolitan Police Department won’t be arresting David Gregory of NBC for bringing a high capacity AR box magazine into the District contrary to DC laws and the fact that they’ve arrested several people in the district for the same crime;
While Mr. Gregory got away without being arrested or going to jail, the police arrested 105 other people in 2012 on charges that included possession of “high capacity” feeding devices.
One of those cases was James Brinkley, an Army Veteran and federal employee, who was handcuffed, arrested and jailed for possessing two so-called high-capacity magazines and an unregistered firearm. The OAG refused to drop the charges, despite overwhelming evidence that he was legally transporting through Washington.
The police have sent the results of their very cursory investigation into Gregory’s dastardly deed to the prosecutor’s office “for a determination of the prosecutorial merit of the case”. Of course, while the prosecutor mulled over James Brinkley’s case, he sat in a jail cell, but we can’t have pretty-boy Gregory rotting in jail while the wheels of justice make their slow rounds like they do for the proletariat.
The anti-gun media doesn’t want to follow the laws that have already been written and the law enforcement community doesn’t want to enforce the laws that have already been written, but they all want more laws that they won’t enforce, until they finally get all of our guns.

Once again the Feinstein/Rowan rule goes into effect. The members of the elite can say “anybody with a gun goes to jail, period” and then shoot a teenager in a pool and get a mistrial with no chance of a retrial, or like Teddy Kennedy’s bodyguard bring a machine pistol to the capital and not be prosecuted.
David Gregory was making a liberal point, therefore he has received immunity from prosecution. Mr. Brinkley was a conservative, exercising his constitutional rights as a law abiding citizen therefore he sits in jail while it gets “sorted out”.
They don’t dare prosecute Gregory because it will publicize the sheer stupidity behind these laws, it’s easy to prosecute Average Joe because no one in the media will shine a light on the waste of time and energy that produces no tangible benefit to DC. But Gregory would have a media circus, and that might make Uncle Joe Biden’s hypocrisy far too apparent to all. The emperor has no clothes, 8 million already know it….
We got their names and we have a long memory. When the traitors are eventually brought to justice, it will cause a shortage of rope.

What’s even MORE pathetic than this story is Washington D.C.’s motto, which is “Justitia Omnibus”, or “Justice for All”.

One of those quotes seems literally Orwellian. Just like what’s happening here.
I fully expect that if I make a video of myself breaking the law that the police will more than likely have a few questions for me. That said, did any of us actually expect this to go any other way? Even if he did get arrested, they’d probably put him in for some kind of journalism award when a picture of one of these magazines would have done the job just as well.

…or kids videotaping themselves vandalizing and setting fires to houses under construction, then posting their antics on YouTube?
Yeah, I know the offenses are more serious, but how was Gregory’s antic any different?
A little bit ago a 19 year old posted on facebook about how he was drunk driving and hit a parked car, then took off. He was arrested within hours.
You forgot one other data point.
Mr. Brinkley is black. David Gregory is not.
Actually, I kinda like the idea of a “Million Magazine March”. Anyone who gets arrested claims discrimination in court and sues to overturn the magazine ban, using the AG’s own decision against them.
