Police Investigating Arizona Chloroquine Death

| May 2, 2020

People that take President Trump’s statements out of context are the reason why we have directions on shampoo bottles and “don’t do stupid things with this” warnings on potentially dangerous products. (Tobias)

An Arizona couple ingested materials used to clean fish tanks. The argument that the spouse advanced was that she heard President Trump and his chloroquine statements. Both her husband and she took a cocktail of ingredients that included a substance used to clean aquariums. The husband later died.

The left likes to bring this up when they argue that President Trump’s statements are “irresponsible” and “dangerous”. The Mesa City Police Department is investigating the husband’s death.

The wife, Wanda Lenius, is a Democrat supporter, having donated to different Democrat organizations. She admitted that neither her husband nor she was a Trump supporter. However, when she heard about the chloroquine use in China and President Trump’s subsequent mention of chloroquine, they decided to give this ingredient a try.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

Though that report and others suggested the couple mindlessly followed the president’s medical advice to disastrous results, friends of Gary Lenius told the Free Beacon they were skeptical he would knowingly ingest fish tank treatment.

Rather, they described Lenius as a levelheaded retired engineer and recounted a troubled marital relationship that included a previous domestic assault charge against his wife, of which she was ultimately found not guilty. The Free Beacon also reported that Wanda Lenius was a Democratic donor whose most recent contribution went to a “pro-science” super PAC.

“What bothers me about this is that Gary was a very intelligent man, a retired [mechanical] engineer who designed systems for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, and I really can’t see the scenario where Gary would say, ‘Yes, please, I would love to drink some of that Koi fish tank cleaner,'” one of his close friends told the Free Beacon. “It just doesn’t make any sense.”

Another source, who asked that all identifying information be withheld, told the Free Beacon earlier this month that Wanda Lenius “would constantly berate Gary in public…. Everyone was embarrassed for him, but he outwardly did not seem to care much.”

“In our opinion, their marriage was seen outwardly to be as one-sided as a marriage possibly could be: Gary worshiped Wanda,” this person said, adding that his wife “would routinely call him a doofus” and humiliate him in public.

Wanda Lenius was charged with domestic abuse assault in 2001 after she allegedly hit her husband and swung a mounted birdhouse at him. Gary Lenius declined to cooperate in the case, testifying that he was not injured or placed in fear of injury. His wife was exonerated.

There might be foul play involved. The police investigation may uncover that as it progresses. You could read more information about this story from The Washington Free Beacon. Additionally, this article covers Wanda Lenius’s support for the Democratic Party. This Yahoo story claims that she is being investigated for murder.

Will it still be counted as a Coronavirus death?

Commissar

No.

NHSparky

In NY it would.

Commissar

No. It wouldn’t. And this blog stories claiming they would are bullshit.

Lighten up, Francis.

Except NY State’s criteria for chalking up a fatality to Chinese Bat Flu are absurdly loose and do not require actual confirmation of infection or even exposure, plus the monetary incentive, i.e. hospitals receiving federal and state funding for every reported case, including fatalities. Thus they’ve been caught claiming things like traffic collision fatalities as Chinese Bat Flu deaths. So yes, it’s entirely plausible that this guy’s demise would be so fraudulently attributed in some jurisdictions.

Thanks for playing.

I’d be more impressed if Mesa PD hasn’t assigned their worst detective to the case. Remember that do nothing clerk who gets promoted and the best schools because their spouse is a senior NCO in the unit or has pull? Meet Detective Teresa Van Galder.

Wanda likely didn’t actually swallow anything. Just gave her hubby the poison pill instead, and then blames it all on someone else’s rambling on TV.

OWB

Can she prove that she drank any of it? Can she prove that he took his poison knowingly? Probably not. On the other hand, it’s also not likely that it can be proven that she deliberately killed him. Sounds like she did. And we can hope that it is proven, if she did commit murder.

One article I’ve read indicated that Oh (Possibly) Wicked Wanda here ended up in hospitalized and critically ill herself, so I’d guess she ingested some of the stuff. Just apparently not enough to kill her.

https://www.abc15.com/news/state/valley-man-dies-wife-hospitalized-after-taking-chemicals-to-protect-from-coronavirus

The teaspoon she allegedly added to both her and her husband’s soda was estimated to be at least 4x the normal lethal dose. Perhaps she didn’t drink all of her soda – maybe just a swallow or so.

A Proud Infidel®™

Maybe she intentionally ingested just enough to make her sick to avoid suspicion?

OWB

Doesn’t seem to have worked out that way.

Seems like in at least one article about it she admitted that he didn’t know what he was drinking in addition to what he thought he was drinking. Sounded like she had gotten away with it until she started bragging about it.

I would like to know how much life insurance hubby had. A couple hundred K is a pretty strong motive for killing a husband that you testified in your depo makes you so “furious” you smash his model airplanes he spent many hours building.

The Other Whitey

A fatal case of TDS, eh? The harpy probably thinks she came up with the perfect crime.

A Proud Infidel®™

That or a heavy case of Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder (TARD) that is exceptional to the point of making her a Really Exceptional Trump Acceptance resistance Disorder Operative, a RETARDO!

rgr769

We have no evidence that hubby was infected with the TDS. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, as his friends and co-workers say he was pretty level headed. Also, we have the factoid that Wanda admitted to Free Beacon reporters that she didn’t tell him she put the tank cleaning powder in his drink. I suspect that admission is what caused the popo to start looking into this.

If wanda had listened to the Pres., then her husband would still be alive but she had to get her info from cnn/LSMFT cable stations which twisted around what the Pres. actually said about house hold cleaners.

Poetrooper

If Wanda’s ever brought up on charges, the media will probably be calling for Trump to be indicted as a co-conspirator.

rgr769

I believe I was the first commenter here to opine that I was smelling a black widow situation after I read excerpts of Wicked Wanda’s deposition in her age and sex discrimination suit against her employer. She should have died as did her husband, given that she claimed she drank the same amount of the fish tank cleaner as her husband did. The dose she claims, a teaspoon full mixed with a glass of soda is four times the lethal of this chemical, which is not medication and contains a label warning it is not for human consumption. In fact the compound is so poisonous, the label warns it is not to used with fish intended for human consumption.

11B-Mailclerk

Blazingly obvious cray-cray based on available info.

A whole bunch of progtards naturally rushed to use her.

Hondo

It indeed does appear that she should also have died, rgr769 – if she actually drank all of her “soda”. But if she only had a couple of sips or a swallow, she might well have gotten just enough to get sick while her husband (who presumably drank more or all of his) died.

Dunno if that’s what happened or not. But it seems to me that it’s indeed within the realm of the possible.

SgtM

Gatorade + antifreeze = dead husband.

She’ll walk. How many other Democrats have commited murder and got away with it? Just saying.
