The new coronavirus triple threat of symptoms consisted of fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added new symptoms to that list. This includes chills, muscle pain, headaches, sore throat, loss of smell, and loss of taste.

From weather.com:

In older adults and people with existing health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart and lung problems, diabetes or cancer, the new coronavirus can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.

Researchers in the United Kingdom found that 59% of the people in study who tested positive for the coronavirus reported a loss of smell or taste, the BBC reported. A study from South Korea found that 30% of about 2,000 patients who tested positive for the coronavirus reported experiencing loss of smell, according to the New York Times.

Digestive problems also have been found among COVID-19 patients. A study by Stanford Medicine found that one-third of patients reported symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea and diarrhea.

Chinese researchers found more than half of the patients admitted to a hospital for COVID-19 (103 of 204) had one or more digestive symptoms. The study said in some cases the digestive symptoms may arise before respiratory symptoms, and on rare occasions, are the only symptoms of COVID-19 the patients experience.

More recently, doctors have identified skin rashes as another possible symptom of the disease.

Whether.com has their article here. Additionally, the CDC provides a full list of symptoms in this link.

Loss of sense of taste and sense of smell is a tragedy.

Someone needs to sue Xi JinPing, just for that by itself… sue his bony butt right into the ground.

Sounds like regular flu strain symptoms, except for loss of those senses.

The more the Docs know, the better they can treat the damned thing until we get a vaccine.

Seems like a lot of diseases have “flu-like symptoms”. Including flu and the common cold. And there is a lot of it even in a normal year. That’s why hospital emergency rooms are always, I say again always, packed during cold and flu season, and have been as far back as I can remember.

nd a big reason I always tried to avoid sick call.

Why are we believing anything China says about this? Using their “statistics” is meaningless and causes one not to believe any study that uses them.

Sounds like what many of us suffer every spring. Several neighbors have various combinations of all those symptoms right now. So far, antihistamines are helping. Unless this virus is spread via pollen, we are all still safe from it. Or had it, or are naturally immune to it. Who knows.

Meanwhile, the likelihood of dying in a traffic accident seems to be less than it was this time last year. Maybe we should stay locked down to prevent future deaths in vehicles?

Perhaps they should consider letting ALL the prisoners out, and let the folks sitting home take care of the former prison population when they attempt their next crimes.

Just a thought. Besides, if you clear the jails of criminals, there’s more room for the crazy folks who have the audacity to go to the beach, walk a trail, or find some other way to get some rays and exercise.

Just keep piling on “symptoms” until everyone is sick from something COVID related (supposedly). Then that gives the petty tyrants more excuses to keep everyone in lockdown. Forever.

F##k that noise.

You were not supposed to notice that.

“This includes chills, muscle pain, headaches, sore throat, loss of smell, and loss of taste, fever, cough, and shortness of breath.”

These are symptoms of patients I have treated, and that I have suffered from every fall/winter for as long as I can remember(until I retired).

Notice the order I put them in. My early flu symptoms always included these, especially a burning sensation in my eyes similar to a very mild welders burn.

I am surprised that racism is not yet a symptom.

One of my nurses caused a lot of medical symtoms in me. Rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, swelling, and involuntary vascular reactions. There were brick outhouses that were pea green with envy that they were not as well constructed as she was.

Oh…and eff China…and their Communist Originated Virus Infecting Disease of 2019.
