Schiff: Trump ‘Retaliating’ Against Enemies…..

| April 4, 2020

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA)

President Donald Trump abruptly fired Michael Atkinson, the inspector general of the intelligence community, informing the Senate intelligence committee on Friday of his decision.

Trump said in a letter that it is “vital” that he has confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and “that is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general.”

He did say that “it is extremely important that we promote the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of federal programs and activities,” and that inspectors general are critical to those goals.

Atkinson was the first to inform Congress about the anonymous whistleblower complaint last year that described Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democrat Joe Biden and his son. That complaint prompted a House investigation that ultimately resulted in Trump’s failed impeachment.

‘…As Thousands of People Are Dying’

By Ian Hanchett

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reacted to the firing of Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson by stating President Trump is “retaliating against people that are on his enemies list and doing it in the dead of night” as people are dying.

Schiff stated, “We’re in the middle of a pandemic, and what is this president doing, as thousands of people are dying? He is retaliating against people that are on his enemies list and doing it in the dead of night. This is just another showing of the character or the lack of character of this president. But it is a real threat to the independence of the intelligence community, which lost the head of the community, the DNI — the acting DNI and his deputy, the acting head of the National Counterterrorism Center was also fired, along with — his deputy also left the office. So, he’s decapitating the leadership of the intelligence community in the middle of a national crisis. It’s unconscionable, and of course, it sends a message throughout the federal government, and in particular, to other inspector generals, that if they do their job, as this professional did…they too, may be fired by a vindictive president.”

Pelosi’s huge mistake of putting Schiff as head of the House Intelligence Committee is pure gold. After the impeachment debacle he has zero credibility, if indeed he had any before. I hope he is on display often as the election nears. President Trump is cleaning house of political enemies who tried to bring him down- in other times and governments getting fired would have a very different meaning.

One need only look at SchiffForBrains to understand that his elevator doesn’t go to the top.

  4. Poetrooper says:

Ol’ Poe sees the Democrat’s congressional leadership team sorta like the the cheerleaders at some of those uber-liberal colleges where the virtue-signalers insist on putting fat homely lesbians on the cheer-leading squad–it may make the libs feel good about themselves but it sure projects a cheerless, spirit-dampening image to the fans in the stands.

And it gives the other side something to laugh about…

  5. Fyrfighter says:

Can’t Schiff just step in front of an Amtrak, and do us all a favor?

This POS offers absolutely NOTHING positive to the nation.

  6. Hondo says:

Indeed. Just ask the NOK of many former Soviet officials who ended up at the Lubyanka after disappointing Teh Босс (The Vozhd).

    If you can find them.

    • Green Thumb says:

      Yeah.

A reduction of 1/3 (estimated) of the population can really change the way things are moving.

  7. 5th/77th FA says:

Eff this effing POS Schiff. Whether these “gentlemen” are political enemies or not, President Trump has the right to hire and fire these appointees..correct? I’ll repeat, again, what I’ve said many a time. FIRST thing Trump shoulda done when he was sworn in was to have fired every political appointee from the previous admin. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!

Wonder what schifty schitty woulda thought if Trump used the Clintoon method of getting rid of political enemies? What’s her body count up to now?

    • Fyrfighter says:

Spot on 5th.. He would have saved himself (and the nation) a shit-ton of heartache if he’d gotten rid of every shitbag obamite the day he took office.. and fuck the whining of the left, like they’d play nice under any circumstances…

Here’s hoping that day one of his second term looks like the “night of the long knives” metaphorically of course, in that every career asshole put in place by a dim, and working to undermine OUR country is shown the door with extreme prejudice!

  8. David says:

Brought up a complaint which led to a failed coup/impeachment… his only question should be why his firing didn’t happen the day of the Senate vote.

  9. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

SHIT ON Schiff, that cockroach-headed liquor store dumpster baby!

Here we go AGAIN. Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler: The Three Buffoons.

    • Fyrfighter says:

If President Trump was the fascist they claim, they would have been stood against wall and shot long ago!

  12. rgr769 says:

Read the conservative treehouse.com if you want to see why Atkinson is a take down Trump conspirator. He is guilty of FISA crimes as documented in the latest Horowitz report on FISA fraud. 93% of FISA apps contain bogus info in violation of the Woods requirements. He approved many of them spying on the Trump crew. Then he was a key composer in the fake whistleblower complaint.

  13. Berliner says:

That took a long time but it was necessary.

I believe it was IG Atkinson who changed the Whistleblower form shortly after hearing from Eric Ciaramella, the “alleged” blower, from requiring first hand knowledge to allow second hand knowledge, thus starting the Schiff show. Rumors don’t make it true.

I’ve heard rumors Schiff blows homeless for pocket change but at least the homeless get the pocket change.

    • rgr769 says:

Yes, DeepStater lawer Atkinson did it solely for the purpose of making Ciaramella eligible to make his second hand hearsay complaint based upon Vindman’s criminal leak of the classified phone call with the Ukrainian president. I should also point out there is an official report that says Atkinson had no business accepting the complaint since it had nothing to do with any activities by any U.S. intel community agency or its operations. The White House and the NSC are not part of the intelligence agencies of the U.S. If they were, then the NSC would report to the DNI instead of the President.

  14. Mason says:

Why does this surprise anyone? Their outrage is pure political theater. Unlike on the D side of the aisle, at least he’s just losing his job and not being liquidated with extreme prejudice.

    • Fyrfighter says:

If he’d done what he did to Hitlery, he would have been found dead after a robbery suicide, with 3 rounds to the back of the head…

Can someone explain to me again how TRUMP is the fascist????

      • The Other Whitey says:

He would have somehow hung himself with his hands cuffed behind him and both shoulders dislocated.

  15. Hack Stone says:

It’s as if he is rewarding his friends and punishing his enemies. For some reason, that sounds familiar.

  16. The Other Whitey says:

Is Trump vindictive? Yeah, probably. But firing that guy is his prerogative. Cabinet members serve at the pleasure of the President. I seem to recall Obama having a rather obvious vindictive streak that Schiff et al didn’t seem to mind. He just directed it at people outside the government by siccing federal regulatory agencies on them, which is a pretty clear abuse of power. Trump firing someone whom he has the legal to fire when he feels like it? Not so much.

If Trump decides to drone CNN or send troops into the NYT’s offices with guns blazing, let me know. Until then, it would be nice if they’d stop whining about the president ex revising his legal authority.

    • Green Thumb says:

In Obama’s defense, he did keep around a few folks from the previous administration. As did Bush.

But the people retained were competent and professional. They did there jobs.

  17. SGT Ted says:

It’s pretty clear that Andy Kaufman faked his death in order to enact his greatest Character Performance:

    Congressman Adam Schiff.

    • Green Thumb says:

      That’s funny.

Maybe Jerry “The King” will show up and pile drive him to kock some sense into him.

      Self-serving turd that Schiff is…

  18. Thunderstixx says:

All I can say is….. Sucks to be him !!!!!

  19. Green Thumb says:

    Is this clown still relevant?

I love when they started the impeachment proceedings and this tool and Nadler starting arguing at the microphone.

    Classy.

Even if Trump deserved to be impeached, these idiots screwed the pooch. Car 54…Where are you?

    Clown show.

  20. OWB says:

Is it wrong to sorta giggle a little whenever seeing his image, and giggle more than a little when he speaks? He is such a clown that it is difficult to NOT laugh at him. He is willingly and intentionally making himself look stupid – which pretty much defines being a clown.

Oh, well. These guys still can’t grasp the simple concept that doing his job (including the hiring and firing of those under his command) is not just Trump’s right but his obligation. It is his responsibility to put in place those who will do the job effectively.
