Stabbing of St. Louis Pizza Hut customer deemed self-defense

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Prosecutors said a St. Louis Pizza Hut worker acted in self-defense when he stabbed a customer who had threatened him with a knife during a confrontation about an order.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Allison Hawk told the Associated Press on Friday the customer showed up at the restaurant Monday angry and ready to fight. Hawk said the man got the workers to go outside, where he drew a knife and told them he also had a gun.

Hawk said one of the workers then stabbed the customer several times with a kitchen knife. Police said Friday the man is expected to survive.

Police referred first-degree assault charges to the prosecutor’s office for review. But Hawk said prosecutors determined the stabbing was a case of self-defense and decided not to file charges.

The 41-year-old man and the officer were inside a vehicle about 8 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when a black vehicle approached them, Chicago police said. Someone inside the vehicle fired shots, grazing the man in the calf.

The off-duty officer fired back, but it isn’t known if anyone was struck, police said.

The man with the graze wound was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair condition, police said.

Browning (Inc) today, makes some nice shotguns. I can highly recommend the Citori line. The XT is a good Trap gun.

The classic Brownings are truly amazing.

Give him another slice, pizza man, the uber will be in a drive by soon. I guess the LEO will be on admin duty for awhile, take a bit for the DA to bring charges against him for discharging his service weapon.

Thanks for the skinny on the FN/Browning shottie. You KNEW I would click on that linky; you KNEW I would scroll on down; you KNEW I would see all of those classic presentation model 1911s; you KNEW I would be slobbering all over the ‘putor screen. Gun Bunnies are predictable, aren’t we?

Speaking of skinny. Ms Thang, Sister Golden Haired Surprise? “…little too tall, could of used a few pounds…” Honey Hush, I’d put some meat on her bones. Thanks for that too. And yes, as a matter of fact my FIRST Car WAS a ’60 Chevy.

Bought that song during AIT – and now Seger and I are both retired. Sigh…

Start with slim and when they add a few pounds they’re perfect. As my Daddy usedta say, “Son, it takes a lean horse for a long race.”
