Michael Avenatti Arrested in Los Angeles for Alleged Bail Violation

Disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti was reportedly arrested Tuesday by federal authorities in Los Angeles, California, on allegations that he violated bail.
The prosecutors said in a one-page letter to U.S. District Judge Paul G. Gardephe that they were told by prosecutors in Los Angeles that an arrest warrant had been issued and it was expected Avenatti would be arrested soon.
“We understand that has now occurred,” the New York prosecutors said in the letter.
“We are still gathering information and will provide an update to the Court as soon as we can,” the letter added. The letter was submitted by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman and signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel C. Richenthal. Three other prosecutors were also listed.
“I understand that Mr. Avenatti has been arrested by the federal authorities for violating the terms of his release,” lawyer Steven Bledsoe told the Daily Beast.
Upon being hauled out of the courthouse, the lawyer reportedly said he’s “completely innocent.”

An attorney who keeps finding himself referred to as “The Defendant” in court. Hack wonders if he can read a fuel gauge on an airplane console.
Luckily for him, but unluckily for the rest of us, he had a pilot chauffeuring him around in his biz-jet.
He is so clueless, he violated the one rule that can get an attorney disbarred/suspended faster than anything else–embezzling the clients’ money. The Commiefornia State Bar will never let him practice law again, even if he beats the criminal charges, which seems highly unlikely.
I am sure All-Points Logistics would hire him….
It is just a shame he was perp-walked out of the building immediately after the State Bar hearing where he was contesting his suspension from practicing law. I wish I could have been there to watch it; it would have been as sweet as a civil trial I conducted once where the opposing party (plaintiff) was arrested by the bailiff at the end of the trial. The bailiff sheriff’s deputy had run a warrant check on him, only to find one. Needless to say my opposing counsel did not leave the courtroom that day with his client.

Remember, folks, this is the same guy that those geniuses at CNN and MSNBC were gushing all over as a possible Democrat presidential candidate for 2020.
All while Tucker Carlson was labeling him the Creepy Porn Lawyer.

News report this morning saying he was arrested at a local bar association meeting sounded so very appropriate.
It wasn’t a meeting. It was the hearing by the Bar Court on his interim suspension of his license to practice law. Wonder if he will be allowed out of the lockup to attend the continuation of that hearing. I think not. He will stay suspended, which means any cases he still has pending (other than the ones where he is the defendant) must be taken over by another attorney.
Yep, he will be in the same rarefied company as our very own “criminal” attorney, a lawer’s lawer…Dan “The Plane Crashing Man” Bernath.
Well, he hasn’t been disbarred yet. If the potential disbarment of other criminally convicted Commiefornia lawers is any indictation, CPL will likely be into the third or fourth year of his federal/state incarceration before he is actually disbarred. I know of one attorney who served his entire four year sentence for tax fraud, fought the State Bar for about a year after he got out, lost, and he still hasn’t been finally disbarred by order of the CA Supreme Court.
Welp, the CPL is now in the same New Yawk City lockup in which Epstein was killed. CPL prolly doesn’t have to worry about self-murder cuz the only crimes he knows about are the ones he has committed. But he might have some concern about that prison ailment known as the Loose Anuse.
