Is This More Russian Influence?

1967 Blizzard

Here’s a CNBC article about Vlad Putin’s attitude toward fracking: we will never do it.  Yeah, sure, Vlad, and my cat can play Blackjack and win.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/20/russias-putin-says-shale-oil-technologies-are-barbaric.html

From the article: Speaking at a business conference in Moscow Wednesday, Putin said: “Today’s technology of shale oil production and shale gas are without any doubt … barbaric.”

“These technologies destroy the environment,” he explained via a translation, before adding that the areas affected by the extraction process were typically left in a “precarious situation.”

“In spite of all of the economic benefits, we do not need it and we will never do this,” Putin said. – article

Putin may be supporting Warren, but frankly, he’s just as likely to be running his mouth to distract people from his real purpose as not. Since there have been so many people on the Democrat side tossing their hats in, a simple Trump/Pence on the GOPer ballot side will make it simpler.  He would rather see us fracking our own oil reserves and (maybe, maybe not) running out than not. The only real source of outside income that Russia has lies in its oil and gas reserves. At the time when Putin began to nationalize the drilling industry and make it a government-owned entity, crude oil was pricing at or near $100/bbl. This was partly due to the turmoil in Libya, which severely impacted oil production there. At one time, the price per barrel reached $140++ in 2008.

From the 2012 Forbes article: Rosneft is buying TNK-BP, which is a vertically integrated oil company co-owned by British oil firm BP and a group of Russian billionaires known as AAR. One of the top-ten privately owned oil producers in the world, in 2010 TNK-BP churned out 1.74 million barrels of oil equivalent per day from its assets in Russia and Ukraine and processed almost half that amount through its refineries.

With TNK-BP in its hands, Rosneft will be in charge of more than 4 million barrels of oil production a day. And who is in charge of Rosneft? None other than Vladimir Putin, Russia’s resource-full president. – article

It’s probably safe to say that, while the price per barrel of crude oil has dropped and the USA is currently the top producer of oil, thanks to fracking, Putin is patiently waiting for someone like Liz Warren to outlaw one of the very things that make the US economy stable and prosperous. Almost all of our tech junk production comes out of China now. It’s cheaper to send the lauded iPhone’s manufacture to China than it is to do it here. Check the labels on your clothing: where is that made? Some of it is coming from obscure places like Vietnam and Bangla Desh.

Meantime, a twitterpated message from Lizzie Warren follows:

From Liawatha, the fake American Indian…

Elizabeth Warren

?@ewarren

On my first day as president, I will sign an executive order that puts a total moratorium on all new fossil fuel leases for drilling offshore and on public lands. And I will ban fracking—everywhere. – Twitter from Liz Warren

So, is Vlad endorsing Lizzie? Will this qualify as Russian interference in the next election? I think he’s kind of wishing those halcyon days of oil at $100/bbl were still in effect, because that’s why he instituted state control of oil and gas production in the first place.

Does this means that Vlad is endorsing Liawatha? Hmmm…. now, there’s a thought.  After all, her poll numbers did tank in November, which was conveniently left out of MSM lame news.  Don’t ask the Greenbeanies or Warmunistas about it; they take heat in the winter for granted. They need to learn what it’s like to be truly cold.

But take this into consideration before you make up your mind about anything: fracking in the Permian Basin and many other areas and offshore drilling are two of the most reliable sources of crude oil and natural gas that we have right now. Some of the production is now on public lands, as well, because that is a large part of the sourcing of crude oil and gas.

Warren wants to ban all of this with no exceptions, when she is elected.

This link is to the EIA’s maps and information about proven reserves of gas and oil in the lower USA. Alaska is not shown.

So where do you think our oil and natural gas will come from if this should happen?

So, we will soon hear from the Left shrieking about Warren colluding with Russia? Doing Putin’s bidding?

(Crickets)

AW1Ed

It’s on their list right after they bust Biden for blackmailing Ukraine’s government by withholding US $$$s to get a lawyer off his son Hunter’s back.

As part of their ongoing “mess up the West” effort, the Sovs financed all sorts of Luddite-Green groups. (Aka Watermelons)

The current Russian efforts are little different. Screw up Western resource extraction and sale. Drive up the commodity price of Russian resource sales. Cash in.

The House of Saud, and various others in the OPEC coterie, are doing likewise.

Too late. The Genie has been Fracked out of the bottle.

But some oh-so-helpful folks here will do their foreign masters’ bidding, and try to shut off the American energy industry. They will have to admit that they want us all shivering in the dark, to fatten the bank accounts of foreign Oligarchs.

Nope. Not gonna happen. Too late.

A Proud Infidel®™️

I’m thankful that the proverbial Genie is out of the bottle, now OPEC and the Ivans no longer have the stranglehold on world oil prices and supply that they once did!

The Other Whitey

Coming from the country that has a history of strip-mining by sinking a shaft into a mountain, detonating a nuke at the bottom of it, then sending gulag inmates with no PPE to collect the irradiated gravel? Yeah, okay. Shale oil is “barbaric.”

Sounds like Liawatha is colluding with Vlad by her promising the moratorium on all new fossil fuel leases for drilling offshore and on public land and ban on fracking. We’ll just keep that on the back burner for after the 2020 election.

Slow Joe

I am extremely worried about the Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp, appointing a NeverTrumper to the Senate…

This could be the Senate vote that undermines the President’s policies and allows the Dems to realize their impeachment BS.

How come Dem pols always support Dem Presidents, but Republicans can’t wait to turn on their own?

Glad that such stalwart defenders of the environment are on board stopping this fracking thing. I figure if Russia can make an entire Sea disappear through environmental mismanagement than stopping fracking is small stuff.

Firstly, Russian has a total of 3% of the shale reserves that the US has. What little there is happens to be really tough to extract. The Russians also don’t have the equipment or infrastructure to transport it.

Secondly, if Warren gets elected president and winds up banning fracking, the US, and then the whole world economy will implode. It will happen before the ink is dry on the EO.

The US tight oil supply now accounts for 10% of the entire world total. Fracking accounts for 2/3 of the natural gas produced in the US. Take that off the table and energy costs will go nuts.

It would also be an environmental catastrophe on epic scale. It would force the energy market back in to coal greatly increasing emissions that have dropped over the last eight years well ahead of the Paris Accord. (without even belonging to the accords any more)

It goes without saying that Russia will be the biggest beneficiary of any stoppage in US Fracking. As one of the world’s largest energy suppliers they will run out of ink to print all the money they will make off it.

I will paraphrase a comment I made the other day. Anybody else think that George S. Patton had the right idea back in ’44/45 in re the Russians?

And yeah, reply to Slow Joe, Kemp has shown his true RINO colors, Mitch McConnell was giddy as a school girl over Ms Thang’s appointment. I held my nose and voted for Kemp because,…well… Stacey Abrams was the other choice. Anybody that trusts or believes ANYTHING that ANY politician says is a damn fool.

I state again, the demonrats will destroy this Republic to maintain their grip of power on the sheeple of this Country. Torch? Pitchfork? Rope?

I’m a bit confused – you seem to be complaining about Kemp (R), and McConnell (R), but are complaining that the Democrats will destroy the country?

Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of idiot D’s I think we could highlight, but both the people you’re complaining about, all three if we include ‘Miss Thang’, are … Republicans. And even if you insist they’re all RINOs, they’re still ideologically about as far from D’s as you can get.

5th/77th FA

Yes Dear, get a little sideways on some things. Point to the FIRST paragraph is Patton didn’t trust the Russians and neither should we. Patton wanted to re-arm some of the German Army and roll up the Russians and push them out of the Eastern European Countries back to well…Russia. The whole world has had its eyes on the ME oil since the 19 teens. And Russia has been stirring the political pot in the US for the same amount of time.

The political tirade was in reply to slow joe, sorry to help ji-jack the thread. LC and many others don’t realize that a lot of the politicians in GA that call themselves R now were a great big D until fairly recently. Many were even elected with a D by their name and changed affiliation after being sworn in. Henceforth my lumping them all together.

I’ll go stand in the corner with a cheap seegar and some rot gut whiskey in atonement.

Uh. What?

Treaty of Versailles and WW1 ended well before Stalin floated to the top of the Commie-Cesspool. Lenin was running things Soviet in 1918.
