‘Lovers Quarrel’ Leads to Shooting in Ramona

A man was airlifted to a hospital with a single gunshot wound Tuesday following what the shooter’s mother described as a lovers’ quarrel in her front yard.

The shooting happened in a neighborhood just off state Route 67 on Pala Street In Ramona. Deputies were called at about 4:15 a.m. and discovered a man in his 20s with at least one gunshot wound.

An air ambulance was called and transported the man from the Ramona Airport to a nearby hospital.

Lt. White said the shooting followed an apparent argument between the victim and the man who shot him, both men, over a woman.

The mother of the shooter, Kyle, said an ex-boyfriend of Kyle’s girlfriend came to their house demanding to talk to Kyle.

They spoke outside, but then things turned physical.

The disgruntled man started to choke Kyle and wouldn’t stop, Kyle told NBC 7. He warned his attacker he’d shoot if he didn’t release his grip, but the choking continued. He said he feared for his life so he fired one shot into the man’s leg. Then he dropped his weapon immediately and began giving the victim first aid until paramedics arrived.

Three inconvenienced and one in the wind, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for a happy Thanksgiving Day. “Pass the fookin’ salt, please, Grandma.” Oops…

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. — JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821)

Hack Stone

Don’t know why people have to resort to armed robbery to get a cell phone. There is a federal program available to have cell phones provided to low income, not too sure, but Hack believes that it is commonly referred to as “Obama phones”.

I’m wid you Hack Stone, they pass the damn things out like Halloween Candy. The young man that helps me with yard work has 5 of the silly things, all with reloadable free minutes. And most cell phone stores keep very little cash money on hand. And what dahell you doing up this early. Is Elaine Ricci coming by for Thanksgiving Dinner?

What has a tendency to tick me off is people get arrested for defending home, hearth, family and self get locked up and there is no word on charges for the dirtbag. And the dumbasses that can’t just let Ms Thang go. If you got the right bait, you can catch the other “fish in the sea.”

Lubs the brass framed Colt’s Revolver. Personal stock? Covet, covet, covet. May and or may not still have 2 .36 Griswold & Gunnison designs (repro) Navy. The Army .44 I didn’t get custody of.

David

Oddly, on the phone the VG front page shows that 1851 but on this page no pic. I’m bummed!

Tanks Matey. Fine job there Aeronautically designated swabbied sailorman. If the middies and their goat were as efficient in the performance of their duties during a certain gridiron competition there might be a different outcome. But…here we are. Speaking of which, I’ll just leave this here. GO ARMY BEAT NAVY. Oh and UGA SEC East Champs HBTD. And ROLL TIDE ROLL.

The Colt’s Revolver seems to be a .36 octagon barrel. That would make it the standard Naval issue for that 1850s period. I may be wrong?

The pic is of a second gen Colt 1851 Navy .36 Cal percussion revolver, or it is an Italian made reproduction. I have several of them from my Civil War daze. We used to be able to buy them from Navy Arms or Cabela’s for about $125.00. Now, one will set you back about $300.00. These percussion repos are the only revolvers you can buy and have shipped to your front door, anyway in most states.

David

They made quite a few in .44. Believe as a rule of thumb the .44s were designated Army revolvers and the .36 were usually Navy? Not 100% sure on that but pretty sure. Never seen a 1851 round barrel, though, except in pics, and I’m no 100% sure those few weren’t replicas..

rgr769

All Colt 1851 Navy revolvers were .36 caliber. All Colt 1860 Army revolvers were .44 cal. You can find ersatz reproductions in both calibers, but Colt originals and the Colt second generation guns are true copies of the originals in the correct calibers. All Navies had octagon barrels, but several Confederate copies of the Colt design had round barrels.

Wilted Willy

I hear you Hack, they even advertise the damn things on Craigslist down here! Great big ad saying get your free Obama phone!!!
And they even hand out the best new smart phones money can buy! Our money that is……

NHSparky

Only reason I can see for charging Mr. King is if he himself is a felon. But of course the article doesn’t discuss that, or why the weapon needs to be licensed, even in PA.

Live free or die, baby.

Thunderstixx

More reason to have an attorney service insurance if you carry or even just own or even if you don’t own one but your lover has one.
For me, US, (Texas) Law Shield and their emergency phone number is the first on my cell phone…

Blaster

Is that a Walker Colt?

Nice!

No.
